JenShepwood,

First of all, welcome to the forum.  Very sorry to hear about your husband.  I am fairly new to this whole subject myself and was like you who really wasn't aware of much more than my physical life.  I am finding out though there is much much more!  There are many experienced people here so I will let them answer most of your questions.  I can however recommend some very good books and authors.  I'm sure other people will mention others.  I came across Robert Monroe's first book and this has changed my life.  I would recommend starting with his but other people may differ.  I only suggest this because many books that I have read refer to Monroe in their books and it may help explain things when they are referring to him.

Robert Monroe (www.monroeinstitute.org)
- Journey's Out of the Body
- Far Journey's
- Ultimate Journey

William Buhlman (www.astralinfo.org)
- Adventures in the Afterlife

Other great authors:
Kurt Leland, Bruce Moen, Robert Peterson, Thomas Campbell

Enjoy your journey and I look forward to reading other responses.  :-)

Lumaza,

This has been a great thread with a lot of useful info and techniques to try.  Your experience with the girl/Angel sounded awesome!
I have been trying a few things here such as the shapes and colours.  Funny how something so simple can be so hard.  The 6 point technique sounds very interesting as well.  So many things to try, so little time to fit them all in.  I will stick with one thing at a time though.

Hope to see a picture of your Dragon Design on here some time.  :-)

That's a great experience, and enjoyable to read.  :-)

In the past I dabbled with healing when in the MABA (Mind Awake/Body Asleep) phase, but only with small things like headaches. I used to put my astral hands over my physical head and imagine healing coming out of them, usually including a specific colour too. It seemed to work.

I also use a 'dream dream journal' when I'm actually in the dream. Oftentimes, my writing is illegible or the pen doesn't work or the notebook is already covered in squiggles and I can't find space. It's as if the dream doesn't want me to remember it so looks for as many hurdles as possible. However, it's a really useful tool to use - sometimes when I awake I remember what I was writing rather than the actual experience. As long as I've written a few key words down, the whole experience usually comes back to me in no time at all.

One thing that might be worth mentioning is experimenting with non-verbal communication with other dream characters. It's a lot subtler and you should be able to pick up from them than than our clumsy verbal way of doing things. And I've noticed that dream characters are rarely forthcoming with knowledge when extensively questioned!!  :-P

Selski 'Sarah',

First of all, Welcome Back!  I am fairly new here but have been thru some of your older posts.

This for me was really one of my first experiences whereby I was having a full on conversation with another being whether she was separate from me or an aspect of me it's hard for me to say but my 'perception' was that she was a separate being.  In the conversation I was having I was certainly using the clumsy verbal communication but I also got perceptions from her which I had mentioned as well such as perceiving that she was one of many guides that seemed to be taking shifts helping people.  I hadn't actually asked that question.  In my next experience  I will certainly try more non verbal communication and see how that goes!  Maybe that will give me more info rather than trying to ask so many questions in the verbal fashion.
Thanks for the tip!  :-)

25%: This one was short so here goes.....starts with me (human wolf beast) lurking around area51 base for food i guess then i see this huge elevator type thing with differ beasts/monsters on it so i jumps on it and it starts to go down deep into the base.

So, Area 51 and werewolves do exist!  Sounded like a great adventure.  I've had dreams similar in nature where I would be put in some dangerous situation but I've never had any where I had any awareness.  I can't imagine what a Lucid dream like that would feel like.  Did it feel like you were pumped with adrenaline as if you were in the physical?  What did your pillow taste like?  LOL!

I can share that there are nearly no differences between us and our inner guidance. They are the closest beings to us. They are simply focused where they are. We are focused where we are. This may help, so I will expand a bit. I now think of my non-physical aspects as a community, and I am part of that community all the time, however I am the human with an individual focus. Nothing wrong with that (I am human) however when I communicate with guidance, I often find that I need a community focus. If that makes sense?

Regarding "the everything else", my suggestion would be to think of this as "inter-connectedness" ... much like the physical nature of plants, animal and humans on our planet Earth here. I mention this distinction because "oneness" can create energetic problems and shadows. Kenyon has a great article about this (e.g., the leap to oneness) on his web site. I read it last night. It is under the Mary Magdalen section, if you are interested.

Again, great work! Your focus, your questions, your process for remembering, and bringing it back. All of it!

The concept of inner guidance is fairly new to me since I really only seemed to have woken up from physical reality about 13 months ago.  I certainly have a lot to learn and a lot to experience.  I think that is why I have so many questions.  This experience I had is really the first major contact I have had with a guide (that I am 'aware' of).  I can certainly understand what you mean regarding the community focus.

Thanks for the clarification of the inter-connectedness.  I think that was the concept I was trying to convey but the only thing that came to mind was the term 'oneness'.  I did have a look at the article you mentioned.

My non-physical experiences have started off slowly but looking thru my journal I can see that things are progressing as well as increased frequency.

wow great experience congrats. how do you feel now, do you think you were healed, are you pooping better now?......wow can't believe I asked that question lol

Thanks for you comment.  I was laughing so hard I almost 'pooped' myself!  I do believe that I was being helped.  Whether that was a direct healing or indirectly by going thru the motions and giving me the 'Placebo' effect i can't really say but regardless if I have the positive feeling in my mind that I was helped which I do, than I will get better.  I can certainly update this post in a few months to see if there are any changes.

I was reluctant to posting this experience at first as it was more on the personal side but I felt that it was a very positive experience so I decided to share it.

Great work!

Something that stood out for me. I have heard the non-physical consistently emphasize that physical perspective sees separation. So, your guide's initial response to your questions makes complete sense (e.g., they are us).

Thanks for sharing.

You are right about the physical perspective seeing the separation.  As a human being living in physical reality it's hard not to think that way.  I will certainly try to think more in terms of a 'Oneness' or 'Wholeness'.

I believe this experience was set up for me very well.  I was put into a very plain and non distinct environment that had nothing else in it to draw my attention.  The voice directed me to focus my attention on really the only thing in my dream, 'The most beautiful woman in the world'.

I probably had a thousand more questions I wanted to ask as it is in my nature to seek out answers.  I guess I will have to wait for the next experience.

(Yesterday evening around 6:30 pm I had listened to a Hemi-Sync title called 'Inner Healer'.  I also listened to some of Tom Kenyon's audio clips right after.  I than went to bed at 10:00 pm.)

I was in a very plain looking environment.  Nothing really stood out.  It almost felt like I was in an underground parking structure without the cars.  There was a woman sitting on the floor in front of me.  From the right side of me just outside of my peripheral vision a man said 'Isn't she the most beautiful woman in the world?".  I focused on her face and I said "Yes, she is the most beautiful woman in the world.  I must be dreaming!".  As I said this I became Lucid and my awareness became very sharp.  I would have to say that this has been the highest awareness I have experienced so far.  I started asking her many questions.

"What is your name?" I asked.
"Ida", she replied.
"Is that your real name?", I asked
"No", she said.  "It's the name I use here."
"Have I met you before?", I said.
"Yes", she replied.
"Are you a guide and/or a helper", I said.
"Yes", she replied.
"Are you a separate entity or are you an aspect of myself?", I asked.
"Does it really matter?", she said.
"No", I replied.  "I have met my Higher Self or an aspect of myself in a previous experience and I was just curious.  "Can you help me with a healing session?"
"What kind of healing?", she asked.
"I need help healing my bowels.", I said.  (I suffer from Irritable bowel syndrome)
"That sounds like a big job.", she said.  "Things can be ugly and hairy down there.  You may need a transplant."
I chuckled.

She went to another room and than came back with some sort of medical device.  It had a claw like appearance with finger like projections on it.  At the ends of these finger like projections were beams of light.  She took the claw and put it on my face and forehead.  She started poking and prodding me with the fingers and was shooting light beams into my face like a laser gun.  She started to point out areas of my face including areas around the bridge of my nose and in the centre of my forehead between the brows.  As she was pointing these areas out I could actually see my face as if I was looking in a mirror although there was no mirror present.

I said "I do get headaches there once in awhile."

She kept poking and prodding me with the light around my face and forehead and finally she was done.  I never thought to ask why she was focusing on my face and forehead but I was thinking maybe my illness is all in my mind.  Heal the mind and heal the illness!

"Thank you very much!", I said.
"I have another scheduled client coming.", she said.
"Do you look after the same people every night?, I asked.
"No", she replied.
I got the perception that she was one of many guides/helpers and they took shifts helping people.
"How many helpers are there?", I asked.
"There are thousands", she said.
"Have you helped me before?", I asked.
"Yes", she replied.

A second person whom I was not aware of was now sitting at a table and said, "You sure have a lot of questions!"
"Yes, I do", I said.  I was not able to perceive this person's gender.

I returned my focus to Ida and said, "Maybe I will try and come back after your other clients".

At this point I was feeling very good and very alert and was feeling like I have been in this Lucid dream for about 30 minutes now.  I was thinking that this has been the longest I have been Lucid and I became concerned about trying to remember everything that I was experiencing.  I started to focus on everything that had happened to me and was trying to get things straight in my mind.  As I was going over all the events in my mind I was feeling the urge to get things written down.  My sister showed up and I told her that she is sleeping but I have been awake now for at least 30 minutes.  I asked if she had some paper?  She gave me some and I started writing down my experience.  More people started showing up and sitting down next to me.  I was now loosing my awareness and I was quickly slipping back into a normal dream.  I seemed to be using a barrel tipped over on it's side as a table.  It was covered in sawdust and I was getting it in my nose.  I than awoke in the physical.  It was 12:30 am and I was thinking everything I was just writing down was in a dream and I have to rewrite my experience again.  It took me a good 20 minutes to write things into my journal but it was worth the loss of sleep!

Smudgefish,

I had a similar experience as to Lumaza's description of just pulling back the curtains when in the void.  Mine started off as a normal dream and than turned into a Lucid dream.  Once my awareness kicked in I was pretty much in a dark void.  All I did was thought of a portal in front of me and than crawled thru it.  I actually got stuck at first and decided I needed to make the portal a little larger and than made it thru.  Once I made it thru I was in a library of thousands of books on bookshelves.  I believe this was my minds interpretation of all the knowledge available to me in my subconscious.  Anyways, this was the beginning of a nice Lucid Dream adventure!

I had a listen to Paul Collier.  His music is very relaxing and he has a lot of stuff available to listen to on youtube.  DJ Vishnu's stuff is good too.  I enjoy listening to the beats and tones that have background music.  I especially like the rhythmic patterns found in Shamanic stuff and I could listen to the Didgeridoo all day long!  There is just something addicting about that instrument!

I probably would not have recommended that book purchase (as a first read). However, you may really like it.

Kenyon is a very clear channel. Also, the Monroe Institute likes him. They suggest him on their web site (which is how I found him). Tom vocalizes all sounds, as they are channeled through him by the non-physical beings he works with. He also has a lot of FREE stuff (sound recordings, channeled messages, sections of book and other writing) on his site:

Subtle Traveler,

I have now had the chance to read the Arkturian Anthology and all I can say is that I had a hard time putting it down!  I read it over a few days but had I had more time I probably would have read it in one sitting.  There was a lot there to digest and I will certainly go back to read the book again although I have quite a few other books in my cue.  Reading this book reminded me of another book I read quite a while back called 'Keepers of the Garden' by Dolores Cannon.  It's been some time so I don't recall details about the book other than the fact that our human race is here due to our Alien Ancestry.

It is great to hear that we are being protected by a benevolent intergalactic race of beings.  Oh, and by the way, I just saw 'Gaurdians of the Galaxy - Volume 2' on the weekend.  Two thumbs up!  I'd give it 3 thumbs up if I had another thumb!  Might have to wait until I get back to the Astral for that one!

I thought Tom Kenyon did a great job so I ordered 'The Hathor Material' and am looking forward to reading that one as well.  The meditation CD that came with the Arkturian Anthology was certainly different.  I have listened to it a couple times.  It is quite different to my usual audio listens but I will stick with it for a while.  I will also try his mediation techniques but it will take some practice trying to simultaneously visualize in 6 different directions as well as the audio in the same directions and thinking of something in past, present and future.  Sounds like a brain twister!

I have also read 'The Book of Mastery' which was another channeled book.  I thought it was okay but it didn't resonate with me as much as the Arkturian Anthology.  Thanks again Subtle Traveler for pointing me in Tom Kenyon's direction.

Welcome Kusuri,

I too have just recently joined the Astral Pulse.  Some of your comments have resonated with me.  That's great that you have had many experiences that you remember while you were younger.  Being that I am just over twice your age I certainly don't remember any childhood experiences like that.  I do recall on OBE in my early 20's but not much else.  I started trying about a year ago now.  I keep a dream journal going every night and listen to a lot of meditation stuff.  I am constantly reading books on the subject and always open to any experiences I have.  In the past year now, I have had 1 OBE and have had 2 Lucid Dreams which were very exciting for me.  I have also had many shorter experiences very recently but experiences non the less!  I am open to anything that comes my way.

it feels a little bit like something is blocking the experience for me or something. i don't know :P

I too feel like there is something that is blocking me from having more experiences but I am working on different aspects of myself to remove any blockages I may have.  Things, like Fear, Anger, Insecurities, etc...   I am making progress slowly but surely!

From my experience on this website so far, I can tell you there are many great people here that have a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Good Luck with your adventures!

Kzaal,

That's great that you can remember different frequencies and vibrations.  I hope to be able to do that at some point to.  I cannot meditate unless I have headphones on because there are too many distractions.  Example, if I hear a car outside drive past, or a child playing, not to mention my very noisy cat that likes to be around me all the time!  The headphones help block out the background disruptions for me.  Hopefully I will be able to train my brain to enter these altered states more easily as I get more practice.

Subtle Traveler,

Thank you for your very detailed response.  I have gone over some of the names you provided.  I have decided to give one of them a try.  I searched online and have purchased the Arcturian Nakura book/CD by Tom Kenyon.

Quote from: Subtle Traveler on April 24, 2017, 10:22:26
I had used Ziewe's binaural beats in preparation, but the meditation tool which got me out of body was the Arcturian Nakura meditation (from Kenyon). I have reached the vibrational state consistently after listening to this particular meditation and then taking a nap (e.g., later waking to full consciousness). It is not for everyone though.

As you mentioned this isn't for everyone.  I am always open to reading/listening to new things.  After I have the chance to read the book and listen to the mediation CD I will let you know what I think.

I too have listened to the Miranon audio recordings from TMI and enjoyed them.  I actually listened to all the recordings that they have posted on their site a few months ago.

I mainly listen to the (396/417/528/639/741/852 Hz) Solfeggio Sonic Mediations by Glen Harrold on my iPad during sleep as well as William Buhlman's 'How to have an Out of Body Experience' chapter 16 affirmations.  I cycle thru these on a 3 week cycle.  I also have many Hemi-Sync mediation titles that I listen to in the evenings although I don't listen to them every evening because most are about 1 hour long and some days it is very hard to find the time.  I do enjoy them very much though!

Light_being,

I just came across this thread topic and wanted to add my experience.  I just posted my experience in another topic a couple days ago.  this is how I made contact with my guide.

A couple of days ago I listened to a Hemi-Sync title 'Connecting to your inner guide'.  This title really affects me while listening.  i tend to drift in and out of awareness.  I have listened to this title about 1/2 dozen times without anything to report until now.  While I was listening to this I kept thanking my guide for all the guidance and assistance I receive during my experiences but I really wanted to meet him/her/them face to face.  I quickly 'Clicked Out' and saw a man standing in a hallway.  He looked Spanish/Hispanic with shoulder length dark wavy hair and he said the name Anisto.  I was than back in the physical listening to the audio.  When the audio finished I recorded my notes and than went to my computer.  I was very curious about the name and looked it up online.  The name Anisto appears to be Portuguese.  I have never heard that name before this night so I don't think I could have made it up.  Anyways, I have thanked him very much and hope to meet him again.

I think I was able to connect because I had a strong intent to meet my guide face to face.

Plasma,

What makes one incarnation better than the next?  I believe that you are here to learn and experience from every incarnation.  Sometimes you may have to try and learn the same thing over and over until you have overcome that challenge.  I think you have already answered your own question.

Quote from: PlasmaAstralProjection on April 24, 2017, 21:46:28
I'm questioning the competitive nature of College and University. Part of it is that I just don't have the drive and ambition I use to have ever since I got a bout  of severe depression. Even though the depression is now gone, I am still just less ambitious.

That's great that you have overcome the depression.  Maybe that was part of your incarnation challenge.  Maybe the other challenges in this incarnation is to deal with your 'drive and ambition'.

I think EscapeVelocity has also answered the question you are asking.

I am curious to what other people do.  I have many Hemi-Sync meditation titles that I enjoy listening to.  I find them very relaxing but haven't really had any NP experiences from listening to them although I find that I do 'Click Out' off and on.  Maybe I'm just not aware of my experiences.  Regardless, I enjoy listening to them.  Tonight I listened to a Hemi-Sync title 'Connecting to your inner guide'.  This title really affects me while listening.  I have listened to this title about 1/2 dozen times without anything to report until this evening.  I thanked my guide for all the guidance and assistance I receive during my experiences but I really wanted to meet them face to face.  I quickly 'Clicked Out' and saw a man standing in a hallway.  He looked Spanish/Hispanic with shoulder length dark wavy hair and he said the name Anisto.  I was than back in the physical.  I was very curious about the name and looked it up online.  The name Anisto appears to be Portuguese.  I have never heard that name before tonight so I don't think I could have made it up.  Anyways, I have thanked him very much and hope to meet him again.   :-D

Many people have reported NP experiences occurring simply after just reading a book on "non local states of consciousness", hearing an interview, speaker, or listening to a youtube video on the subject. That's usually all it takes to get the "curiosity fluids" flowing.  Mind you they are very brief. But that "sneak peek" is all it takes to "hook'" you in.

I have experienced this myself.  This was the first time I read anything on the subject of phasing.  One evening I was reading from the following website which I probably found somewhere on the Astral Pulse:

http://focus-4.es.tl/WELCOME.htm

I spent a couple of hours reading the section on phasing.  That night I went to bed and I had a dream that I was phasing.  I saw the movie screen like image which really did look like a theatre screen where you see the number countdown at the beginning.  The screen than turned into the 3D black void which in my dream was one of those 3D computer generated images that looks like static on a TV screen.  After seeing these two images I realized that I was dreaming and turned this into my Second Lucid Dream.  I created a portal on the wall that I crawled thru and had my second great adventure!

Thank you for the reminder of saying 'Thanks for the experience'.  I will certainly do that.  This has reminded me of another experience that I had a few months ago.  I find myself struggling to become Lucid while dreaming.  I see so many unbelievable dream triggers whereby I should question whether this is real or not but I seem to believe everything happening in my dreams.  I have had a couple very profound Lucid dreams since than but I would like to experience more.  Anyways, back to your point about saying thanks and asking for experiences...Because I have been struggling to become Lucid, I asked my Higher Self one night before bed to come and literally slap me in the face to wake me up in my dreams if that is what it will take.  Nothing happened on the first night but it happened on the second night.  I was in a dream that seemed to be some sort of challenge.  After what felt like I passed this challenge I was lying down on a sofa that was in a hallway.  I was talking to a friend sitting on a sofa across from me.  A cow walked by and stopped in front of my face and lifted his tail!   ....I physically jumped and flung my arms so bad that I was wide awake in the physical.  I could not stop laughing!  I have never jumped out of bed like that in my entire life.  Even when watching a scary movie in the theatres and the whole audience jumps at a scary moment, I don't even blink.  Anyways, I did thank myself a lot after that experience and I still laugh about it every time I think about it!
#245
Thanks EscapeVelocity,

I listen to various things when I go to sleep.  I cycle thru various audio programs thru my headphones.  I listen to some Solfeggio audio clips and was currently listening to Chapter 16 of 'How to Have an Out of Body Experience' by William Buhlman.  This chapter is about 1/2 hour of affirmations.  I listen to these specific audio clips for 3 weeks straight and than move to another audio program.  I eventually cycle thru them and repeat.  My first OBE occurred at the end of a 3 week cycle of these affirmations.

This particular experience happened very quickly and ended just as quickly.  Whether it was phasing or as you mentioned about riding a hypnogogic visualization i'm not sure but I guess it really doesn't matter how I got 'There'!  All that matters is that I got 'There' and what can I learn from that is the big question!

#246
A few nights ago I lied down in my bed to go to sleep.  It generally takes me between 20-30 minutes to fall asleep.  I'm not sure what happened this time but within a few minutes I was somewhere else.  There were 2 women standing there smiling at me and they said 'You did this!'.  I than awoke thinking I would sure like to do this more often!  Was I able to phase that quickly into the Astral???    :-D

Thanks for the post grrla, I had a good chuckle!
Maybe you have not woken up yet!  :-)

Hi Bloodshadow,

This sounded like an amazing experience.  I have had non-lucid dreams a couple of times where there were two moons.  I have been trying to understand their meanings but all I can come up with is that maybe the two moons represent that you are being pulled in two different or opposite directions.  Don't know if this has any resonance with you or not.  I look forward to reading any other comments on your experience.

You're right LightBeam, my personality does match the bear very well.  As I look back thru my dream journal there were other hints that my bear guide was actually me.   Was hard to see that at the time.

I have never gotten into the Harry Potter stories although I did try the first book on audio.  It would certainly be fun to experience that in the Astral!  Maybe you were having a little foreshadowing!  I certainly look forward to having more amazing experiences.  My journey has just begun but I look forward to whatever comes my way!  :-)

Lumaza,

You are right about the dream interpretation websites.  I do use them for help but I will search multiple sites when trying to interpret something.  If I find something that resonates with me than I go with that.  Many don't and if I am still unsure about something I just leave it and come back at a later date.

Thank you for the thread link on Tests, Quests and Challenges.  I have actually been thru that thread on an earlier date but I have read thru it again.  Very helpful insights!

I will certainly have a look at the author Robert Moss.  I enjoy reading from a multitude of authors as there are things to learn from their similarities and from their differences.
