it's a similar phenomenon to a "self-fulfilling prophecy": the more attention you pay to something, the more you notice it .

it would be like walking down the streets, seeing a crack in the sidewalk, thinking "wow, that's a big crack. i wonder how many cracks there are in this sidewalk", then paying more attention to the cement and going "wow, there's way more cracks here than i ever remember seeing before! that's amazing ^_^ ".

but i do agree with you: humans are dishonest enough, why would we be silly enough to trust someone we don't even know? [|)] but i guess that's part of the challenge of channeling, figuring out which beings are honest and which are not. sadly, some channelers likely are being duped because they are too trusting, but i'm sure some are not.

of course lying, at it's upper echelons, is just another multitiered skill with many subtleties and intricacies ^_^ . as is distinguishing lies from truth [].

i agree with exothen: too many people don't like the truth and so they try and manipulate it to something more appetizing... and making it no longer the truth.

"You want the truth? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!" does that apply to me? does that apply to you? can we handle the truth? if it hurts to believe at the beginning, it's more likely in line with the truth than if it feels good. cause the truth is, we aren't perfect as we are. we all have negative things about us, and that's what hurts: learning that we, you and i, suck [].

but as you seek to get rid of the suckiness, that's when the truth starts hurting less, because the truth shows that you care and that you are becoming a better person (which everyone likes to know [] ) and not just deluding yourself into thinking you are a good person [|)].

good words nita []. i personally think that a healer should make sure that first their potential patient is in a frame of mind that is well enough that they can decide for themselves if they want help.

for instance, if a person has a strong neg attached to them, the healer should probably do their best to remove that connection temporarily before asking if the person would like it removed completely. after all, the person may have summoned the neg themself and is using it for some purpose so banishing it against their will would obviously not be helping them, but you'd never really know if it truly was their own desire to keep the neg if the neg was still influencing them (hence the temp disconnect).

but that's just my own opinion ^_^ . sorry that i can't help you theluns, but unless you can actually work with the magic there is nothing that i could help you learn.

why is it that so many psychic vampires think they are unique in discussions about psychic vampirism? nearly every thread i've seen about psi vamps, someone has spoken up and said something like "hah! i'm a psi vamp, i know all there is to know about them, so ask me for i am the prime source of knowledge on them".

but really, they aren't that unique at all. or perhaps their egotism is just another way of getting people to pay attention to (and throw energy at) them. *shrug* oh well, whatever [|)].

well, anime is based partly on real life (and real theologies and real beliefs/practices), and partly on fantasy and exaggerations. it's sometimes easy and sometimes hard to tell where reality gives way to fantasy, and because of this not-always-distinguishable-line it's best to usually treat anime as fluff and NOT something to base one's practices on.

however, to say that all anime is completely untrue is rather silly cause, for example, many anime shows feature real life martial arts and real life techniques, eventhough they also feature made up martial arts and made up techniques (the martial art that ken and ryu are trained in exists. and the street fighter 2 v series talks about kundalini too (which is actually the first place i ever heard about it ^_^ )).

as i said, anime is partly based on reality, but don't use it to try and train by (anyone) cause it's also partly based on fantasy [|)].

those are EVERY reference in the bible to an antichrist, and as you can see, there is not one single antichrist, but *everyone* who denies jesus and God is an antichrist (after all, think about the words: anti and christ... duh). also note the "even now are there many antichrists".

i'm sorry, aries, but when i was looking through those photos it just looked like pictures of the sun taken through various filters and in various weather patterns (like through clouds or during sunsets and whatnot).

nothing really convincing to me.

and as for nasa: why WOULDN'T they release pics of it? there are more than enough non-government and amatuer astrologers out there who would have seen it too if nasa had (considering how close to the earth it's supposedly gotten). and if the non-affiliated astronomers had seen it, it would likely be much more known about than on merely one or two conspiracy pages.

i'm sorry, call me a skeptic, but i'm just not a believer ^_^

the first task needed to be done in order to turn a good person into an evil person is to convince the good person that good and evil don't exist. but your conscience is proof they do exist, cause why else would you have that nagging feeling if something inside of you didn't feel right about what you're doing?
