this post doesn't make any sense

the pressure points on the body get sore quickly when you're doing something like projecting.

the same thing happens to me when i project on the floor.  my back and butt get sore fast because i'm laying still but my mind is still aware (as opposed to just sleeping on the floor, you're sore the next day but don't notice it so much when you're sleeping).

that's what sitchin implies anyway

the point is that they weren't really religious writings.  they were documentation using a vocabulary that too us seems religious and mythical but to them was quite real.  it just so happens that the best way to explain extraterrestrials were to call them "gods".

doesn't mean sitchin's work is right.  just sayings it's not really about religion.

It has been a while hasn't it

lu·cid definition
Pronunciation: /ˈl{uuml}-səd/
Function: adj
: having, showing, or characterized by an ability to think clearly and rationally
lu·cid·i·tyFunction: n
Inflected Form: pl -ties

implies full cognition which can mean awareness.  you have your faculties about you.

however, i don't disagree with you entirely.

people in the midst of spiritual expansion often go crazy because they can't cope with social expectations within the framework of their new found perception

that's pretty cool.

i took a class called learning and cognition last year and the prof. started talking about how humans can't control autonomic functions in the body.  she said people can control like their heart rate or bp for brief periods of time but that they can't make "permanent" changes.

that bothered me so i spoke up about examples like this kid (though not him specifically) and she said, "see me after class".

so i waited and talked to her and she said that the school won't allow her to discuss non-scientifically discovered evidence like that.  i was shocked to say the least.  but we talked for like an hour and apparently she thinks people are entirely capable to absorbing sustenance from their environment and from a non-local energy source.  i was very happy to meet a professor who was interested in that kind of thing, but i was also very happy to hear confirmation that my university intentionally tries to prevent discussion of things beyond science.

what's that got to do with anything.

they are just the one's whose writings we still have.

fantastically random

i've projected on one of those tempur-pedic mattresses and it was a lot easier.

i mean you'd never know if you didn't experience it.

but after using that bed i can feel where my metal spring mattress pushes on pressure points on my body.

it is ENTIRELY possible to have a guide (that is not a part of you) come assist you.

HOWEVER, unless you have developed some level of mastery over your awareness, chances are you're still stuck in your own mind when you're dreaming and projecting.  practice makes you more capable of moving past yourself to interact with others.

i would say that i think it takes a degree of skill that most people don't have to get past your own subconscious.  we all have a lot of issues.
#2339
you just have to remember that you are the most powerful being in the world.

I have been there before.  It feels like your awareness has "disconnected" from your body and is floating around in your head.

The reason for not looking in the middle of your visual field is because it keeps you focused/aware of your physical eyes.  when doing visualization your goal is to turn your awareness inwards to your mind's eye.  If you continue to look straight into your normal physical visual field you continue to try to "see" through your physical eyes instead of with your "third eye".

that's what don juan teaches to perfect dreaming (note: this type of dreaming is more akin to inducing a lucid dream or shamanic journey, the precursors to AP).  He says to look at your hands and as soon as they start melting look at something else, then when it starts melting look back at your hands.  You continue to do that until you gain lucidity.
#2342
lol, yea mushroomman, i sleep at a 38 degree angle

i find that attempting AP is easier when i do it in a position that i sleep in because it's easier for me to let my awareness drift down if i think i'm going to sleep.

i also do a lot of trance practice as i'm going to sleep at night and just spend some time staying awake in that state.  it helps.

synchromysticism
#2344
that was neat.

it was the exact same story.

i showed it to my fiance and she said "so...."

i guess i just like to assume connection even when there isn't one.

#2345
really corny.
#2346
I was at that exact spot for like 6months.  turns out the method i was using had me trying too hard.  i ultimately started over with a different "method" that allowed me to remain much more passive.  be careful with where you are because it's easy to let your mind stay to active.
#2347
no.

you could possibly focus your awareness on their energy and perhaps perceive what they perceive.
#2348
i lay exactly like i sleep
#2349
well, i went through a "love everybody" phase, and I still do, but over the years i have become hardened and cynical.

that has turned more towards apathy and further into detached caring.

i also recognize that this disgusting world i see i not the way it is but my projection of my perception and vice versa.  so.  i like to embrace my shadow.  perform a "shadow ritual" if you will.  that in turn translates into what many of you see as offense and rudeness.
however, my self-knowledge has grown exponentially since i made embracing my shadow a part of my "practice".

but yea sure, discourse.  :-D

I have read heaps and heaps about all of this...

so which is it?  you read heaps or you don't read much?
