Greetings all,

cainam_nazier,         I stand corrected David (well,Im actualy sitting), the film I was refering to is "Powder". PeacefulWarrior probably read the disciption I wrote for "Phenonemon" ( which I haven't seen ) and thought it reminded him of  "Powder".
Out of intrest, is Phenonemon worth a look ?

Greetings all,

Phenomenon,        excelent flick, about a teenager with advanced psi gifts, hidden away by his parents in a cellar,  then introduced to the mainstream in his teens.  Has a good feel ending.

Greetings all,

Caimam, It's a matter of self awareness, such a simple thing in principle, but so hard to do.  Mobius is correct in that it's a trade off, but it shoudn't be.  I've found whilst on a spiritual path it's the base of all else, "being in the momment". Most people would say they are the momment when asked. A good test to see how in the momment you are is in the shower. When you have a shower, be aware of the fact that your having a shower. It doesn't take long for thoughts to interupt. Out of all tasks I do during the day I find haveing a shower the most difficult to be in the momment. In the past, showering was organisation time, the motor centre would run on auto for the washing, and the interlectual centre would kick in for the organization. It's the same with driving.
In the past the driving thing was a worry, concidering my job is mostly that. With self awareness i dont have the memory lapse problem any more. Self awareness( being in the momment ) is not an easy thing to achieve, at first it's very confronting,  but once into it, it changes your whole perspective on the innerself and makes you understand the way life is supposed to be.

Greetings all,

bitsmart , I can relate to the , "I dont get it" situation your in. I've been trying continuousIy for 8 months. I did a Astral workshop at a centre a  while back and found it a little frustrating as the students achieved conscious projections one by one. I was happy for them as it gave my practices a bit of a boost. It's good to read your getting flashes of imagery/hypnogogia. I get absoloutly nothing as far as images/vibrations ect. I'm slowly getting closer to the point where you fall of to sleep. I do my pratices laying on my back and actualy fell a sleep on back for the first time the other night. So at least that's some progress. Each day I affirm" tonights the night", just reading your post and typing this reply has given me a bit of a boost. I look at this way, because where creeping up on it slowly, once we get out we should be really familiar with the lead up procedure and be able to do it on a regular basis. Like i said," tonights the night".    Well have to start a" i dont get it club"

[Frank]  thanks for post's,        "I'm off to sponge my brain"

mkalomisis wrote :               ATTN: steveb ----the mozart cd's she listens to has a variety of music but all of them do include the magic flute and this happens to be one of her favorites. so why did you ask about the magic flute?

Most classical pieces come from the higher dimensions, they come from the divine you could say. Pop, Punk, Grundge, Country ect ect ect come from the physical and use the emotions in defeatist way.  Classical pieces from the higher realms can transend  the base physical emotions and allow us contact the true consiousness.
You hear a lot of people talk of the beautiful music they hear whilst in the other dimensions. A lot seem to have trouble trying to describe it in physical terms. One thing you will not hear from people who have heard this music and sounds from the astral proper or above is, "ye ya know,it sounded like The rolling stones sort of " or  "yeh , it was just like Madona".
The reason I asked in reference to "the magic flute" is that I've been told this particular piece has spiecal quality's.

Greetings all,

[mkalomisis] It's heartning to read that you have not just put it down to imagination and keeping an open mind. Like Fallnangel177 I do not have the expierance with such things, but from your discription it sounds like what they call "elementals", or as Frank on this board aptly called them in a post "scamps". I've heard people discribe them as miscievous little things that can annoy or disturb you in the Astral.
Might sound strange, but when you say Mozart, it wouldn't be Mozarts "the magic flute" in particular .

Greetings all,

A child is born innocent, when you watch an infant at rest sometimes they appear to be looking at something, they are, there ego's. The ego's have nothing to work with yet, they hover waiting to enter.Talk to most parents, the baby's been fed, nappies just been changed, the little ones comfortable, you leave the room and sometime later the baby lets out a big cry. The little one has had a fright, more than likely it's an ego. The same when you sneak a look at them at night sometimes and they seem as if there playing with some one, they are, ego's.

We as adults can spend a whole lifetime(s) trying to become one with the "it", "god", "the essance", new borns are from it.

I've been told that by the age of seven or there abouts most if not all the ego's have entered. Unfortunualty the way life is, by the way we live, it's us adults that give rise to the ego's entry into the little ones. If not us, life itself, the system.

Due to the above I believe a child is not required to be baptized at birth, maybe later on if so inclined.

greetings all,

I've siad my pennys worth on the other thread so I'll leave it there.

I did see very funny thing today that i haven't seen before. You know how they put those stickers on cars in the shape of a fish. I believe the fish symbol was used by early christians as a secret sign to acknowledge the presence of another fellow christian.IE: if you were walking along a path and came across someone and you , for example picked up a stick and did the symbol in the dirt, if the other person reconized it, you could then openly talk of things christian.
Well, on the boot of this car was what looked like a commercialy manufactured chrome fish sign, but in the body of the symbol were the words "darwin", and where the belly of the fish would be were to little legs.
It looked great, at a set of lights I wound down the window and siad to the driver", love the boot badge mate" , to which he replied, "well your obviously not a christian nutter". We had a bit of a chin wag through the windows and he explianed a few people had taken offence to it. Well, takes all types I suppose.
Well, hope I didn't bore you, I thought it was brilliant

I can tell of a story of one person who was in it for money/showman ship. When I became interested in the astral ect I recieved a message from my family that an uncle wished to speak to me,,that he was worried. I found it strange becuase of the type of person he is, not religious and no apparent intrest in things of a metaphysical nature.
I haven't spoke him as yet, He stated the basic's of his concerns but did not want to go into any further on the phone. Bill (my uncle) worked in field of micro electronics involving communications.
One of Bill's clients was a gentleman who had different degree's of phycic skills. This person was very popular and travelled around playing to packed venues. The type of venue where they walk into the audience and look at an object, usually a watch or photo and then telapathically relay the image to the blind folded assistant on stage. Unfortuantly this person lacked psycic skills in regards to telepathy and this is were my uncle Bill comes in.
Bill supplied this person with several electronic devices over the years. The telepathy thing, tranmitters hidden on the body with wires running down to the big toe, hybrid morse code signals were sent.
Well over the years the ( lets say clairvoyant) introduced Bill to things of a real meta physical nature, then one day the clairvoyant stopped comming.
About 10 mths went by and the clairvoyant turned up.Hhe had changed so much that Bill and his partner hardly reconized him, he had lost wieght, his hair apparently had turned completely white and he looked sickly. He did not stay, he just walked in, looked at them and siad, "do not misuse any powers you gain, there is a law and you will pay the penalty, I cant exlpian any further", and then he walked out, Bill has never seen, or heard from him ever since.
Now this person did have gifts, they were demonstrated to  Bill and his partner in bussiness without any electronic gismos. All my uncle would say is that he delved into areas (the dark side, as he put it) that shoudn't be ventured and that he wanted make sure I was travelling the correct path.
I do know that my uncle is an intellegent methodical man, I haven't had the oppurtunity to discuss it in person with him as yet. He wont discuss it over the phone and  it has to be in person.?
Well there ya go, thats the story, if you didn't know how they do the telepathy thing, now you know one of the methods.

Greetings all,

[patty] , Parenthood, sometimes you wonder who's teaching who. I can understand the energy flow problem. Once you start down the self awareness track it changes your whole perspective of the way you look at things. I used to get frustrated when kids would disturb a practice, I would think that they had a problem becuase they didn't understand. Once i started with seroius self awareness I realized that it's all "state of mind". Being in the momment, not what just happened, not what's going to happen, but right KNOW, at this momment.
Easier said then done, I started practicing "being in the momment" with awareness walks. You go to a nice place that feels good, park, bush ect. Clear your mind paying attention to your surroundings and inner state(dont concentrate on them, just be aware of them) and walk, as soon as a thought comes in stop.Clear the thought then continue, stopping each time a thought arises. If you haven't tried it give it a go. You get some interesting looks in a park with a lot of people. It really brings out the" i dont want to look like an idiot" ego.

Greetings all,

A good book I'd recommend, (not really fiction)"Zen and the art of motorcycle maintanance", written by Robert Pursig. every time i hear the word "quality" I think of this book. May sound strange but the book nasn't got that much to do with Zen,or motercycle maintanance for that matter.

Simply life. Life creates life in all forms. I do not believe it was created but rather it just happened one day. Some thing managed to crawl out of the primortal ooz. Maybe we came to be because of a meteor hitting the earth bringing with it the first cells that became life on this planet. Spontaneous combution of a sorts perhaps. The growing and splitting of cells creates energy in a form and hence the energy that binds all life.

I used to prescribe to the Darwin way of things, but have since changed my way of thinking. The reason I changed my thinking, the "wasp plant'. Well, I think it's called a wasp plant. A few years ago I was watching a documentary on plants and they were talking about how different plants pollinate. They show a close up of the stemen ?(the centre of the flower) , then they show a picture of this wasp that is the only thing that can pollinate this flower. The stenem was a near exact replica of the actual wasp. So I'm looking at it and the what came first ?, chicken or egg conundrum came into play.
Did the plant look at the wasp and change to suit,or did the wasp change for the plant?. Now darwins theory works inregards to things like Blind cave fish, there transparent, it's supposed that these fish were trapped in caves for a long time with no light and adapted to suit.
I now hold a Darwinistic/Creationist at some point, view. People ask the question sometimes, if you were to die and allowed to ask one question to which the answer will be given, what would be the question. My question , "whats the deal with the wasp plant and the wasp". I've got an idea that when my time comes the question would be of little importance, but if it's not,  I hope i would be at the stage were I could comprehend the answer.

Greetings all,

Ashfo ,       hhmmm,     point taken, I just tried it with a cloths peg, could have held it there all night. I know it was over twenty years since we used to do it and we were pretty stoned. Cloths pegs havn't changed that much i'd suspect.
I know i didn't imagine, i just looked in an old photo album, and yep, theres a picture of one he old crew during a session, red in the face holding a peg out ( the pegs just out of frame, cant tell what type).
I can only say , dont do it at a party, what a fizzer. If ya do,use a bloody big peg.

Greetings all,

"Ditto", Ashfo ,interesting indeed.

[Waterfall],         When doing soul retieval and you come across spirits that require help, where are they when you come across them, and what are they doing.
Also, when you come across spririts that you say, wont go to the light or are creating problems, when you take them over the water, how long do they stay there and does anyone council them. I dont mean to sound niave but I know nothing of this subject.
