HI Dria,

After reading your post, two things come to mind.

1. You need to work with your solar plexus chakra. This is located a few inches above your navel. It is the center of your will, power, success and happiness. Strengthening this center up will help give you the confidence to take control of your situation. From the way your post reads, I feel this is really important for you. The color for this chakra is yellow. If you are good at visualisation, do color breathing exercises. I also find this is a good point from which to imagine golden light expanding outwards like an explosion, at times when sudden and imediate protection is needed.
(don't neglect your other chakras, but I do think the solar plexus is important for you)

2. I thought you may want to try a clensing ritual. Just something simple like running a bath and saying a prayer and asking for the water to be blessed for you, maybe even a candle for atmosphere. I had a bout of depression a while back and I found this to be a really healing activity. If you are carrying any redundant energy that is attracting psychic attacks to yourself then this could help. (besides, a bit of self indulgence is excellent for the soul).

Good luck,

If societys structures do crumble, be it war, pole shift, or transition  into 4th density, perhaps we should focus our "training" towards survival. By this I mean, learning how to really 'go bush' and survive without the everyday comforts that we all take for granted. Learn how to build shelter, find food, and use natural medicine and healing and couple this with your metaphysical and psychic abilities.
These are all valuable skills to have in any situation, so should these possibilities not come to pass, you'll still be better for it.

1Zenryoku or kakkarot, could you suggest a good website about ki for a beginner like me to get started. . [8)]

Welcome to Integral Philosophy! / Intent & Belief

I think you are on the right track Euphoric Sunrise.
From my own experience with magick, intent is the single most important element of any spell or ritual I do and a strong belief in my own ability to manifest my intentions adds power and accuracy to my work.
Only in the last few years have I had enough confidence in my own ability,so that I could throw out alot of learnt protocol and ceremony and create my own magickal recipes.

I very much agree with your theory on exorcism and I apply the same to all faith healing too. I think that the outcome of an exorcism or healing comes from a combination of both the beliefs of the person being healed and the one doing the healing, but I think in any case the person at the receptive end holds the key.

Thankfully I have never had any contact with negs, so can't comment on that one.

As for the after life, it seems I agree with you on that one too. I reckon its just important for us all to remember what aspects of our understanding we have proof for and what parts are still only based on beliefs or feelings. So long as we keep each of these seperate we can continue to search and expand our knowledge.
(By the way thank you for that web link, I haven't checked that one out yet).

I Don't think that 2012 will be a dooms day scenario.
You're right Aries, we need to live in the now and stop worrying about what may or may not happen.
I do find it very fascinating that the mayan calendar, the giza heiroglyphs and the I-ching all point to this date. I have also heard that psychics have not been able to predict past that point in time (maybe any psychics reading this could put in thier two cents too),
but, as Jeff has so humorously pointed out, there are explanations for this other than the end of the world..

However, some of the conspiracy theorists amongst y'all may be interested in this link.

Its a bit of a long winded interview, with some far fetched material, but its another view of 2012 and other interesting subjects.

Why does existence exist?
I read this post 30minutes ago and only now am I coming back from the zen like state of blankness that it put me in..

As I am only a small part of the whole, I can only speculate, but existence sounds like a whole lot more fun than non-existance. If the opportunity presented itself, it seems like the obvious path to take.

But then, who's to say that existence hasn't always been here? Eternity is a hard thing to contemplate but then so is nothingness.
'How does it exist?'.. that is a more baffling question for me.

The reason that existance continues to exist seems obvious to me; to survive, advance, expand, perfect and create again. So long as all of those things are possible, existance is not pointless. As far as I can see this philosophy works on all levels of consciousness.

Can I just explain that my point of view is somewhat pantheist, that is, I do not separate god from existance, I see them as one and the same.

About 4 or 5 years ago I came across a website (I think, maybe it was abook),  there was a sound technique I tried out, but I can't really remember how it went. It was something like humming a certain sound in a particular way for a measured amount of time each day.[?]
Sorry about the vagueness[:o)] I thought someone else might be able to shed some light on the technique.
It was meant to exercise your pineal gland to help open your third eye chakra and it seemed to be working. I had tingles in my forehead and a throbbing sensation further back. I've recently talked to someone else who has used this technique and had similar outcome.

Anyone else tried it who can describe it a bit better?

Having sex pertains to the physical, yes, but love? Surely love extends to the world of spirit.

"Isn't it true then that you fall in love with the person, not the sex? Isnt sexual orientation an illusion?"
If you consider the physical world to be an illusion, then yes, I agree with this statement.

Perhaps it depends on how bound your spirit is to your body. If your spirit is androgynous, but your body is gendered, maybe it comes down to  whether your spirit controls your body or your body controls your spirit.
Then again, maybe its just the luck of the draw or social conditioning.
Have they discovered the gay chromosone?[:)]

I sure fall in love with a persons spirit and not their body, if that means I get labelled as bisexual, thats fine.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / RemoteViewing & TimeTravel

Hi Aries,
Hmmm, that site has some interesting stuff on it. I've never heard of Tim Rifat, is he legit?
I'm always quite wary of sales focused websites, there's alot of people looking to make their fortune out of the "new age".
Have you bought anything from this site before?

RemoteViewing and TimeTraveling: Have you read much about the montauk project? I'm curious to know what you think.

Hi Solstice,
I'm certainly not the most experienced person in this area but, from my understanding, when you are dreaming, you are in the astral but are not so concious of it. Sounds like you realised you were dreaming but you were struggling to keep control of your consciousness.
From my own lucid dreams I have found that my higher self/spirit guide will guide me by appearing as people that I am familiar with. I was wondering if the three women (maiden, mother, crone perhaps??), felt or looked familiar to you.
As for the guy controlling you, I figure it could have been one of two things; either an independant negative entity, or an aspect of your sub-conscious mind. Both of these things will only feed off your fear, and I suggest that if you encounter it again try to confront it rather than run away, as you say, in your dream state you can basically do whatever you want.
Adverse physical effects from contact with astral entities? hmmm, I haven't experienced this myself, maybe someone else on the forums has a good answer for this.
I hope this has helped a little, I think ultimately with dream sybolism you are your own best analyst.

blessings back at ya[;)]

I think that we are all responsible for our own 'karma'. I don't really like the idea that we are governed by an external force, that makes it too easy. I see the universe as inter-connected, and I do believe that there are universal laws that we exist by, but we are all responsible for our own part in that connection.
My take on how karma works is through our own subconscious emotions. If we do something, which we know deep down is wrong, there will be an element of guilt or regret. To balance these negative emotions we attract experiences that we can learn from so as not to repeat the 'wrong action'. So long as we continue to learn from our experience we should never be stuck in a karmic cycle.

By this, however, you could also theorize that if we can rid ourselves of all emotion we would stop influencing our own karma.
Hmmm, just a thought..

I really like the way you put that Sahlyn, and I agree, my hand didn't taste quite as good as it looked.[:P]
I see reality as a subjective concept, and truth as objective.
So when we percieve reality we are witnessing our own thoughts manifest. This is why some people can bend spoons with their mind, or why magic works, because thought manifests reality.
I believe that when we can understand our own capacity to create reality, we will see the ultimate truth behind it.
I also need to take into account group consciousness and the 100 monkey theory.
I'm still pondering on this philosophy, I hope it makes sense.
I guess to answer your question: 1. Perception = reality, but 2. there is an ultimate truth to be discovered.

I've been in a trance like state during a long session in a drumming circle and I have been in a meditative trance state.
I agree with Nagual, the difference seems to be control.
In a relaxed trance I achieve focus, clarity, stillness.
In a more frenzied trance my mind becomes more fluid and free, kinda like dreaming,
I imagine it is different for everyone.

Welcome to Dreams! / Common Dream Themes.
December 21, 2003, 20:42:23
As far back as I can remember, my dreams have been have been about getting from 'A' to 'B', I call them adventure dreams. They often have a water element to them, like a river or ocean, and I'm just trying to get past obsticles and get to my destination. I can't remember ever getting to where I was going, but I guess this just symbolises my lifes path.
A more recent type of dream I've been having is where I am in some house or building and I find a secret door that I never new existed that leads to a whole different part of my reality.

I like dreaming[8D]

How about putting out a call for some astral musicians and having an astral concert.[:D]
Maybe jim morrison if he's still hangin around the astral.. hmmm, or perhaps we could just manifest a band.
Either way, what an awesome incentive to astral travel.
