I,ve heard this term "The Watcher" used before,but have not got anything in print that tells me about the concept.
From what I could tell there can be so many possibilties as to the
identity of the watcher,I think the word though needs examination in
context with what is being said.Where did you hear this term & do
you have it in print?
It could be a 1)Dream 2)Future aspect of you 3)a guide 4)an observer
who is either conscious or unconscious & interacting in your OBE or
anything.3)some might even say an angel & some may say death.

I just feel it's a bit of a generalization "The Watcher" as we are
all Watchers anyway.Is there a reference to where you got this term
Vallk?

Exactly! Thats what my American workmate said!lol

I knew exactly what I was saying or what my brain interpreted for me,
it's just he didn't!!I realized that I had picked up a lot of slang
off the street or school as all my family don't express themselves
that way.
I don't know how it started off with "Pass us me durries" but I
suspect we borrowed a lot from the English & Irish.
There is no "Us" so I wouldn't have a clue how it seeped into our
language,probably someone suffering from Dislexia (spelling?)a few
hundred years ago.

I only had one "Blind man" joke up my sleeve so it looks like
checkmate on that one,the last one you posted topped it nicely!

Inguma,I believe the descriptions of what Chakra,s do is somewhat
similar to what the particular glands in the body do.You allready
know what the Adrenal gland does & your Gonads but the rest I
will let you read yourself & anyone else who is interested a
description of each one.

The Pineal gland or the Third eye/brow Chakra is the one I focus on
for my Astral activities using the technique Frank mentioned of
rolling your eyes up,but I focus on the Pineal gland & when it starts
throbbing I know I,m in for some fun!

Frank it sits a bit better with me too being able to focus on a
particular gland & feed some energy into bugger!When told about
Chakra,s a few years back I thought "What the hell are they on about?"
I cant see these things & it doesn,t mention anything in my Biology
books.When I eventually put the two systems together I realized
it was the Eastern worlds metaphorical picture of little energy
systems in your body.The Chinese system of Yin & Yang & accupuncture
made sense in this way of thinking as well.

I think everyone should be able to activate their Adrenal gland
after a bit of practice & if they are capable of OBE,it should make
it much quicker to learn.Most people can remember a time in their
life when they had a "fight or flight" situation & the Adrenal gland
kicked in giving you intstant energy,as well as increased strength &
dexterity,some people have lifted cars while Adrenalin has pumped
through their veins.So it's just a matter of thinking back to what
that feeling was like & focus on it.

Hi Bhikku,the name durries is probably no longer used by younger
smokers anymore,more like "lung darts" or "coffin nails" now.
But I still remember my moment of realization about 8 years ago
when my American workmate said "What do you mean? pass us me hammer/
watch/can of coke/whatever?!"
I said well what the hell does "Allright,allready" & "Shoot" mean in
American then? Our swapping American & Australian slang went on for
months,twas very funny how we all speak English but our coutries
have all added their own little treats.

Thanks for the site & heres a variation of your joke,not sure if
this one is used over there as well.

When I first got into Chakra's & learning of their uses I had a
bit of trouble digesting it or accepting their validity.After
reading up on them for a couple of years & experimenting I
discovered a science site,so being the skeptic I am, the science
explanation of the Chakra,s launched me into another world all
together,as I could see a physical reality to this idea of Chakra,s.
For some reason most sites dont go into depth about the "Real" &
physical aspects of the Chakra system & how it is related to
the endocrine system & the messages the brain transmits through
the chemical secretions of "Cyclins" & "Kinases" to all of these
Chakra,s.

When I swapped all the Chakra names for the names of particular
glands & muscles,it really took off for me.

1)Root/base of spine/almost as important as the other end of the spine/Black Onyx or Obsidian used in conjunction with/corresponding
mucical note C.

2)Sacral/genitals/Carnelian crystal/musical note D.

3)Solar Plexus/Citrine/E

4)Heart/Rose quartz,ruby/F

5)Throat/Indigo/G

6)Brow/Amethyst,clear quartz,aquamarine/A

7)Crown/Amethyst,clear quartz/B

After putting together all the major glands in the body,it can be
easily seen that all of them coincide with a major or minor Chakra.
The Spleen,Adrenal glands,pancreas,lymph glands,thyroid gland,pineal gland & the pirtuitary gland.

I find now that I can activate any one of these glands while
focusing on them for a short while.The pineal & pirtuitary are my
favourites for obvious reasons,they are the brow & crown Chakra,s &
good old cerebral cortex.The easiest I find is the Adrenal gland,but
too much just gives me butterflies.

Anyway I don't see any difference between my control of my Astral
body & my physical body.If you can get to the point where you
realize you can project your body & that there is more to you,there
should be little restrictions in controlling your physical body,just
will power.

Hi Bhikku,I'll throw in a couple more Aussie terms for ya,so if your
over here or run into an Aussie you will have some translations.
Blokes= Guys
Vegemite= A black tar like substance,that only Aussies seem to like &
every other country thinks tastes like toe jam.
Pass us me durries = Pass me my ciggarettes
No worries= thats ok, or no problem
Fair Dinkum= Genuine,true story,or used as a eu'phemism to someone
who has erred against you
Dead set= Is that right?

I worked with an American for 2 years & found myself having to give
translations to what I thought was English & those were some common
ones too!We seem to have a lot of slang in our Aussie lingo,pretty
funny when you get a room full of different nationalities.

Bhikku my Mother practises Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism & seems to like it,but I,m not going down that road again.
Do they have "The Ten worlds" the "Ten factors" "Realms of Existence"
or "Five components of each person"? in Zen Buddhism.Does Zen spell
Buddhism without the H do they?
Do they have chants?

I am sorry to hear you guys are going through this negative part of
your lives,but by the simple fact that you are on here asking
questions & looking for answers means you will probably find what
you are looking for.
I think everyone who is on this site has gone through exactly what
you guys are going through now.
Skeptics say that when we arrive at the point in time where you
realize you are on your own & your parents have died or can not
help you any better than you can help yourself,we all get this
question in our minds "Who is looking after me now?"
Unfortunately people realized they could make money of that single
fear "Now my parents/guardians are gone & I,m the one in charge now,
there has to be someone to fall back on,for guidance & advice"
& so we have religions.

If you look right now all around you where you are sitting,there is
the reason we don't just wait to die.Everything in your house or
appartment is made or thought up by someone who is probably allready
dead.Would you say that the person who invented the watch/art/books/
cars/bridges/chairs/tables/t.v/radio just to name a few drops in the ocean lived for nothing? after all they couldn,t take the car/t.v/
radio with them,but look how many people alive today are benefitting
from their work now!
We take for granted the things we do everyday just to exist & don't
realize how every little task performed either benefits you or others
for a long time to come.

Anyway I could talk for ages on this topic & good on ya,s for having
the courage to come out & say that you don't have all the answers to
life,neither do I,but if you do nothing all you can expect is nothing.

I wish the buck stopped here,as I could use a few.

G,day Focus 15,in regards to the Energy Bar Tool (EBT)in the non-
physical,I allways knew what I should be doing with my energy before
I came across Monroe & his tapes,so when I got to the bit in the tape where it guides you into Focus 12 & talks about the EBT I was
confused at first but soon realized he was talking about things I
had discovered on my own & just had different names,thats all.

I notice you said you have the "tapes",me too unfortunately,big
mistake,for anyone reading this & thinking about buying one,spend
the few more dollars & get the c-d,s,no hissing noises,no tapes
slamming when it gets to the end & scares hell out of you & c-d,s
don't chew & last longer as well.Now I,m going to replace the "waves"
one at a time on c-d as I havn't got the money this time around to
buy the 7 waves in one hit.

In your last post you mentioned a quote & Loosh,which one were you
inquiring about? the quote or Loosh?
Can't answer the quote but Loosh is another name for Kundalini I,m
sure.

Hi Focus 15,good topic & probably is a good idea that we put info
about R.A.M & his products into one topic.Anyway I,ve got a good
collection of tapes now & all 3 books but I havn't been to TMI yet.
I would love to hear of Franks experiences there,so if you read this
Frank,what courses did you do & which ones do you believe gave you
the most,I,ve heard a bit from Jo,but maybe you could re-enter
your experiences.

As far as series go I,ve only tried the Gateway experience waves1 to 7
& want to get "Going home" or "Opening the way" anyone tried these 2?
I,m using "On becoming a life long learner" at the moment to help
with studies & retaining information in general & will have to get
another set of headphones as my girlfriend has been beating me to
the walkman & if I try & take the headphones off her head after the
tape has stopped (& she is asleep) she yells at me & clutches onto it!
hehe.

I have heard "Opening the heart" is a good one as well,has anyone got
this one?
Has anyone tried out the Metamusic tapes? I havn't got around to
trying these ones yet,but they sound good.

Focus 15,I was a member of that monroe mailing list from about 3
years ago,but it fizzled out it seems,but most of its members went
over to the Topica mailing list,which has been going for a couple of
years now I think.I assume you are talking about the old
voyagers@monroe-inst.com.
However I really like this site (Astral Pulse) as a particular post is followed by relevant responses & not message after message in order of posting.

Hi Pe,I,ve got all 3 & you have the titles right.If your credit card
is still getting rejected,even on the Monroe site,you could go to
your local or state libraries & they will most likely have them.
Failing this look in the phone books for bookstores that specialize
in Metaphysics etc.Also try any 2nd hand book stores as a lot of
people throw them out after nothing happening for them upon
opening the first page.Failing this you could take a trip across the
border into Austria,maybe they could supply you.

to the violent end of the OBE spectrum.

Hi Atlas,a few of my reply's have dissapeared so I'll keep this one
short.
The reason I suspect in regards to the validity of OBE,s is an age
old topic & it's all about who has access to the "right" information.
Suppose you "did" develop your OBE skills to the point where you
could project real time into the present,past or future anytime.
We humans are an opportunistic bunch,but also the top predator on
this planet.Most living organisms are programmed for survival & to
look after themselves first,unfortunately us humans took it to
another level & because money was entered into the equation,we have
come to the conclusion "work smart,not hard".
If I can get enough of this stuff they call "money",not only will I
not have to do much,I can gaurantee my offspring will have a better
chance than everyone else & they wont have to do much either.
That is why things like Monarchies,Emperors,Secret organizations
like The Knights Templar,Knights of Malta,Freemasons,The Vatican
have clung to their much guarded secrets,money & power.

Lets take a look at OBE'ing from a capatalists point of view.
Suppose tomorrow you somehow acquire this skill OBE'ing into the
future with control.You decide "hang on why am I working? why dont I
just go & win the lottery again & again?"
"Do I want the eyes of the world on me & everyone trying to track me
down to ask" "Teach me" or "Can you see inside our top secret base?"

Then you think "hang on,why win the lottery for $10 million &
attract attention,why not the stockmarket for 100,s of millions"

I,ve taken this to one of its extremes I know,but if you were "Recruited" by one of these organizations,would they want you
to look for Osama or other rebels or would they want you to turn
over another billion for them?
Most people dont want to be drawn into someone elses fight,without
knowing all the facts.

Those who live by the sword..........get shot by those who don't!

Hi Barbara,just adding something to Adrians post.
The Astral doorways using the Elemental Tattva symbols;
Ether/Black or indigo/oval
Fire/Red/triangle
Air/Blue/circle
Water/Silver/cresent
Earth/Yellow/square

Colour on one side,white on the back of the card/symbol.Like Adrian
said,you look at one colour,then reverse the card & see the symbol
on a white background & your mind will see the complimentary colour.
At this point as stated before is supposed to be a doorway to the
Elemental Astral plane.
While I have not got around to trying this method myself,I will soon
try it out & post my results if anyone hasn't allready done it.

David,many doctors & psychiatrists have been involved in using
Electroencephalographs ( brain activity measuring device)to measure
OBE experiences,dreams,lucid dreams,REM & psychic phenomena.
A definate difference was detected during the time of monitoring
these OBE,ers & while they couldn't see spirits flying around
everywhere & the people inside the OBE scenario didnt seem to sell
any maps or directories,they did gather enough information which has
sparked a new revival in OBE,ing.

A few have been Monroe,D.Scott Rogo & Uri gellar.

G,day Bhikku! I gather you practice Buddhism,what form of religion
is it?I am genuinely interested in what you are doing & feel
honoured to talk with you & I understand if you dont want to go into detail,but what you can will do.
I am fairly tall & have long legs that were very sore to kneel on as
a kid & only got worse as I got older & my fathers knees are not the
best either,so it could be hereditary but also multifactorial.

G,day Frank! Interesting posts & strange you have put in words
something I have been trying myself for about a year.I have never
read about it in any other books before but decided on my own to
use this technique of rolling the eyes back as I noticed most people
tend to roll their eyes back in their head while in deep sleep.
At first I tried doing it & like you said your eyes get a bit sore
from the strain of looking up,but I soon overcame this sensation &
I use it not only with OBE,s but if I wake in the middle of a
particularly interesting dream or get up to go to the toilet,all I need to do to get back to where I was, is to think about it, roll my
eyes up & I,m almost instantly there.
I have been having them since a child & had allready worked a lot
out before I came across any books on Astral travel/OBE,s.I really
dont think all the material & techniques I,ve learned since has
hindered my progress in any way.Of course I had allready experienced
OBE,s so it wasn't hard to understand what the Authors were trying to
say.
I,m not sure of your history or if OBE,s came to you before reading
about them,but you certainly have read some OBE books & the
techniques they talk about & sure a lot of techniques wont work for
some,but what do you suggest for people who have never experienced
an OBE or read a book on one?Just get comfortable,keep warm & just
relax & let it happen to you?Dont read anyones books,even though you
have,as they will confuse you more?
While this works easily for me,I doubt someone can enter the Astral
Realms by not being educated whatsoever as to what & where they are
going & to simply lay there relax,roll your eyes back & your there.
This is like me trying to teach someone how to drive a car when they
have no experience & saying "look you just get in start it & go"
Then comes the questions;"where do I put the key" "whats this stick
in the middle that says 1 to 4?"
Then what do you say?"look I know how to,so just relax & do it!"

Frank I,m not trying to attack you here & everything you have said
works for me,I just think it is a bit too simplified & dismisses
anyone who really wants to learn more & gain experiences.

BTW you wouldn't happen to be Frank De Marco,the OBE writer would you?
