Messages - personalreality

Yoshi,

I didn't mean the story of Sisyphus.  There is a book by a philosopher (who's name escapes me) called "The Myth of Sisyphus".  It's a philosophical treatise considering the implications of suicide.  Not in a depressed way or anything, it just takes a serious look at the consideration of living versus not living.

It can be hard to tell whether it's hypnagogic or hypnapompic hallucination or if you're actually receiving a clairaudient message.

I can say that in my experience I can tell when what I'm hearing is "real" versus a hallucination in the content and emotional/physical feeling i have when receiving the message.

It seems that when something seems "important" or relevant to what's happening in my life it is a genuine message.  Sounds simple, but there is more of a non-verbal component to these messages.  I'll hear a voice but I'll also receive a telepathic message in the form of a perception or feeling.  This seems to be the big difference.  One is just words while the other has "substance".  Doesn't mean I always listen to the voice, but I can tell when it's my mind versus something "outside" of me.

Also, just thinking about it, I use quotations a lot...it's not to show emphasis or sarcasm, it's basically to show that the word I'm using is not the most appropriate word for what I'm trying to express.  I just didn't have a better word or a word that is understood by others.

The problem at the core isn't that useless karma system but when you care about how someone else thinks of you.

I am genuinely concerned for those people who do take the karma system seriously.

Too be quite honest, I think it adds a sense of "drama" in the eyes of some people and I'm not here for drama.  I would be happier if it was just gone.  Nevertheless, it's here and I don't want it to scare people away.

I'm going on an applaud campaign.  I'm going to applaud everyone for no reason at all, as often as I can.

The comparisons of Jesus and other ancient figures is that the story of Jesus was ripped off from older stories.

Jesus is not a person.

Lucifer, like saturn,  is the archetype for the realms of imagination (i.e. the astral).  We were made to fear that archetype so that we would fear our own inner realms.  And so, his counterpart Jesus, was put up on a pedestal.  The christ archetype is the yang to saturn's yin.  It's the nonphysical and physical, the essence of duality.  But the way we are taught about the luciferian archetype prevents us from uniting it with the christ archetype.

I'm not saying people shouldn't be skeptical of what others say Tiny.  You should be cautious in what advice you take, but Athymari makes my point well.  I'm not worried about people believing "theoretical dogma", I'm worried about people doubting sincere advice for the actual practice of AP.

I guess this is also me saying, let's keep things civil because I don't want to scare new people away.

I worry that it could cause newcomers to shy away from members with negative karma.  I don't want people with questions to doubt member's knowledge.

go to educate-yourself.org and read about Orgone generators.

That will explain why the copper and resin are used, as well as the magnets.  Specifically look at the Stuccor Punch.

I practiced for a long time before I had a successful OBE and it was learning how to teeter between awake and asleep that put me over the edge.

I've noticed lately that there has been some heated debate going on here and there and it seems like every time I look at a post, peoples' karma keeps going down.

I'm not saying that someone may not "deserve" to have their karma knocked down a peg, but I feel like we might be getting a bit too willy nilly with our smiting.

If you feel like I'm out of line in saying this, I'm sorry, please ignore me.

If on the other hand you feel that smiting should be used when someone is out of line, not when they disagree with you (even in a heated manner), then unite with me in an effort to be more conservative with your smiting.  We're all smart people with interesting things to say and I think we're capable of being civil and not getting petty.

the most important thing I discovered in my practice was to keep my mind as "uninterested" as possible in what I was doing.  It seems that when I would try to do a method or technique I would try "too hard".

All of the other things they put in Robitussin cause serious damage to your liver when you take in high doses repeatedly.  Not good for you at all.

There is one way and one way only to "bypass hangups", practice.

The experience of time (relatively) doesn't equal time.  And my original statement was in regards to reincarnation and I said that my view of reincarnation makes time irrelevant and unnecessary.

Nevertheless, we're to the point where we're just trying to repeat our selves in different ways.  Either we don't understand each other or we really disagree with each other.

truce.

As I tried to make clear, I agree that the absolute nature of reality is timeless. But reincarnation does not occur on the absolute level, and so it occurs within time, even if that time dimension is a more expanded and plastic one than physical time. To speak of past or future lives still makes sense, therefore, even in a more expanded view of time that takes into account multiple dimensions. It is only when we look at infinite dimensions that timelessness rules, and "we" won't be there either, since infinite identity will also be the case.

But I agree that it's not possible to fully understand reality from this level. Which is why I said that Frank's formulation of time and "out of time" is a category error. We are only talking about relative matters, even if they involve astral experience. The astral is not the absolute reality, I think we need to realize. Which is why time still exists in various forms within the astral.

Think of time as a place.  A big empty nothing that only contains one thing, you.  In this big place you are copied over infinitely and each copy contains every possibility of your entirety, which is naturally infinite.  Here's the kicker, that big place is contained in a spaceless space.  There is not direction, no time, no change.  Just you.

Trust me, I know it is hard to grasp, but that's my point.  It is impossible to see the scope of your existence from our perspective.

Time is a construction of our subjective mind to account for something we don't understand.  Because the astral is a subjective place, (so is everything else but that's another discussion) time still seems to happen sometimes.

How can absolute reality be timeless yet our experience is temporal?  I mean isn't our experience a part of absolute reality?  You can't remove one part and apply different rules to it.  Since our experience is a part of absolute reality (all of it in my opinion) then it too is bound by whatever the properties of absolute reality are.  If we experience something that seems uncharacteristic of the absolute then logically it must be some distortion in the way we perceive absolute reality.

Yoshi,

You should read a book called "The Myth of Sisyphus"

As per request from GBob, here are a few exercises to develop clairvoyance.  I picked these because they also involve visualization and focus (which is important for AP also).

The Viewing Screen

Clairvoyance is a visual type of psychic skill and so the first step is to create a viewing screen to see the energy.  So, close your eyes and imagine that you are looking out through your third eye to a screen a few feet in front of your face.  The screen can look any way you want it to, big like a movie theater screen or small like a tv, whatever you want.  Take a few moments to notice what the screen looks like, what the border looks like, if there is anything unusual about it that you don't like.  If you aren't happy or aren't feeling "good" about your screen, destroy it and create a new one.

If any changes occur while you're watching your screen it is being effected by your energy and you may need to ground yourself before continuing.

The Viewing Receptacle

The viewing receptacle is what you'll actually be looking at for the reading.  Within this receptacle will appear the energy/information you're seeking in the form of color and imagery.  You can view this receptacle as any neutral object you wish.  One of the most common is to visualize a rose, because it can take on many shapes, open closed, etc. and has many colors.  It is also naturally grounded by it's own stem which makes your job easier.  Using this viewing receptacle is as easy as requesting energy to come to it and show you the answer to your question in the form of colors and images.

The Exercises

In this exercise you're reading your own aura.  You will have to use your intuition a bit to interpret what the colors and images mean.

1.  On your reading screen, create an image of a clear glass rose.  Study the shape of the rose and the petals.  Next imagine that the rose you have created is traveling to the outermost layer of your aura.  Take a few moments to see what happens to your rose.  Did the appearance change?  If you notice anything unusual or different about your rose, ask whatever change that has occurred in the rose to give you another color, image, or message about the meaning of what you are seeing in the rose.  Then destroy it by blowing it into a million little pieces.

In this exercise you are going to get a more in-depth reading of yourself and you're going to release any energies that you're ready to release.

2.  Create your reading screen and your rose again.  See the rose's color, shape and size.  Study it for a few moments.  Now, see the stem of the rose as a grounding cord that goes deep into the center of the earth.  Intend that the rose represents yourself and that the stem/grounding cord is going to release any foreign energies that your are now ready to release.  Watch the rose and the grounding cord and notice any changes.  You can end the vision after you see these changes or you can continue to ask more in depth questions by investigating the meaning of these changes.  Just continue asking questions that seem relevant and watch the changes.

In this final exercise you will get a chance to see something that you would like to manifest in your life.

3.  Create your reading screen and your rose again.  Intend for this rose to represent something in your life that you would like to create, such as a job, a lover, happiness, etc.  Watch the rose and notice any changes.  Does it's color change?  How open is the rose?  What is it's posture like (standing erect or wilting)?  Is there a particular color coming into the rose?  How many petals are there?  Are there leaves or thorns on the stem?  As you notice changes in the rose you'll will most likely be drawn to one aspect, so continue to ask questions regarding the meaning of that change.

Try to not figure anything out, just relax and watch the changes and let your intuition guide you.  It may take some practice but with a little work you'll be able to expand on these basic exercises to read other people and yourself more thoroughly.  And feel free to use a different receptacle than a rose if something else suits your needs better.

You missed my point Yogi

I explained why there is no time and no change.  It's a perceptual glitch essentially.  We see something as time and change, but there is only one now and all that has ever happened or will ever happen (from our perspective) exists simultaneously.

It's really not possible for us to fully comprehend the dynamics of reality from this perspective.

You can't define time and change on a universal perspective from the perception of a 3-d being, doesn't work like that.

I'm trying to get your karma back up kurt, but 100 hours only comes once every 100 hours

I think that remote viewing is a form of etheric projection.  Rather than turning inside to the subjective astral you project "up" to a space that exists between dimensions (between the 3rd and 4th for example) and from there you travel to a distant location.

However, there is also a method of information gathering that involves using "astral energy" to create a watcher.  You generate this astral substance and form it into some shape (doesn't matter what) and then you send it to gather information.  You tell it to come back after a certain amount of time and when it does you reabsorb it and the information it collected.  It's like a scout that you send out.  It's done from a waking state (not projection) though you might want to be in a light trance.

I honestly couldn't tell you how to do it now but I could find out.

I read a book published by Llewellyn (can't remember the title now) but one of the two authors was Melita Denning, and it said to only attempt projection in the nude.

You gotta understand that some projection books are written by occultists and they are often steeped in tradition.  I'll bet that a lot of times they don't even know why they do some of the things they do.  That's just the way they were taught so that's how they teach.
#2871
Yes. Just doing the practice will increase your energy.  Anytime you undertake metaphysical work of any kind it increases your energy.
#2872
I think that when you are a beginner your destination is going to be a bit sporadic.

In my opinion, the astral is like a collective unconscious, a truly non-physical "place", whereas the etheric/RTZ is a higher dimension.  Until you gain more energy and control it is difficult to control where you go.  When you end up in the RTZ and didn't plan to go there, I think you're more likely in between the 3rd and 4th dimensions (whatever you wanna call them, I don't know if dimension is entirely appropriate), perceiving it as a distinct place.  There may be existing locations within the astral, places that are kept in existence by the thoughts of beings that live there or elsewhere.  But the astral is subjective, which means that whatever is in your mind turns into your astral environment.  As you gain control you can make your mind clearer and clearer going into the projection.
