I think one of the most difficult things with Astral Projection is determining what are external entities and what are internal entities.  And I mean that by that you can create (willingly or not) beings, emotions, scenarios, entire landscapes etc.

Learnning to differnciate between what you have created and what is just there is not there.

So as summerlander says, dont get hooked up on preconceived ideas.  In the physical, if you see someone else walking around then you know they are not part of you.  Its easy to take that belief system into the Astral.

So, this mother goddess you saw? Ask yourself, how do you know for sure that Mother Goddess is a seperate entity?

are we sure that any of them are external?

I met a hynotherapist at my last job that could induce trance and project from his body within minutes, supposedly less than 5 minutes at most and just over 1 minutes at least.

I watched him one time.  But all I saw was a dude seemingly go to sleep for about 5 minutes.  However, he assures me that he projected.  So I say, no, you can't demonstrate it to someone else.  All they will see is you inducing trance or meditating.

you know that zeitgeist is just a word the describes the "character of an era", it is not unique to now or any specific movement.

stupid movie.

and murder makes a great point.

It's no where near the same experience.

Very different indeed.

Their calendar ended on 12.21.12 by coincident and they never had a written prediction of the world's end.

There are a lot of author's whose whole career is based on there having been a written prediction.  No body necessarily says that means the "end of the world".  But there is a lot of compelling evidence that suggests the mayans to have believed something happens when the cycles change.

i really hope something exciting happens for you all.

but i really don't think it will.

even the best researchers of the maya will tell you that overlaying their calendar onto our in order to give an accurate reference is at best an educated guess, but more than likely it is off by a significant amount compared to the lifespan of the modern human.

so even if their calendar means anything more than starting the next cycle with no big effects, it's a pretty big stretch to believe that it will actually go down 12.21.12 in the gregorian calendar.

I haven't read Petrie, but I have seen the name referenced many times.

Von Daniken likes to focus on how ridiculous is the notion of copper tools and such being used to create the stone artifacts of the peoples of egypt, peru, central america, etc., might have been where i saw that name.  i think graham hancock may have referenced him too, though i don't trust hancock and his cohorts much anymore ("the stargate conspiracy" - interesting read).

Does the user name format give us the anonymity, and by extension, the courage to say things we would not attribute to to ourselves? Does it embolden us? Would we say the same things in the same way if we were face to face? Do I ever quit asking questions?

                                                                                                            Thread Killer

I perpetually run my mouth, much worse than i do here, when i am face to face.  my lady says i lack tact.  i say, i'm not afraid of my present understandings.

For most though, yes, I believe it provides a sense of anonymity and thus courage to say more.

for me, i think it gives me an opportunity to think through what i want to say more thoroughly and thus usually in a more succinct and restrained manner.

you need to get on a computer and give us a non-mobile link before anyone can do that.

unless they use their mobile i guess..

You should read the book that I've referenced here a few times the past couple days.

"Genes, Giants, Monsters and Men" by Joseph P. Farrell.

It's a good one.  I've read tons of these 'alternative history' books (i love them), and this one is really to the point and pulls from great resources, providing a lot of good evidence for the existence of high civilization in antiquity. Very good read indeed.

I know for a fact that Pauli2 opposes this and he claims that they are projections to two different places.  where have you been in the last few days?

i'm just fuxin with you.

and it's not the last few days, it's always.  but pauli is entitled to the opinion that his experience affords him, just like you or i.

I pretty much said the same thing as pauli and you bestowed the honor of maturity on my response.  lol.

It's all about presentation guys.  Respect begets respect.  lol!!

Conceited???  Not at all!!  I think the possibility that a lot of our technology today may have evolved from crashed UFO retrievals is feasible, but...a conspiracy by aliens to enslave mankind...hmmm...

We can't deny the possibility of other more advanced civilisations having existed on Earth.  If there were, they must've left this world because, if they were so advanced, it makes no sense that they were naturally wiped out.  It's ridiculous.

As for us, I think we, as a race, deserve a lot of credit for our technological development!  Look at how much things changed in the last couple of centuries.

no no, i'm saying it's conceited to think that we're the best thing on the planet and allow that to keep us from considering the possibility that another advanced civilization may have existed on this planet in the distant past.  not that we get all of our tech from aliens or something like that.  i'm also no opposed to the idea of reverse engineered tech, but it seems like once we reached a certain point in development (especially with electronics), our knowledge and it's resulting technology advanced exponentially and just keeps going.  maybe there is some threshold that we hit and whatnot.

i think an ancient civilization could have been wiped out.  nature is a powerful creature.  but they may well have left.  or maybe they're in agartha, lol!

I said absolutely, but I say absolutely not at the same time.

It's not necessarily a different place, perhaps just a different way of perceiving than we are used too.

And therein lies the real answer to your question and the retort to your model.

But why do the pyramids have small wall paintings, then?

graffiti?

someone built them.

i just don't believe they are tombs.  nor that their use was strictly ceremonial.  or that they were built by humans 5000 years ago over the course of generations.

and there are some that interpret the temple writings (which are the biggest reference to ka or ba or whichever one it is, i don't remember either) to be instructions for such practices as AP, not necessarily instructions for the afterlife, though that isn't ruled out just because it's a reference to AP as well.  and i'm not talking about little scribbles of paint up narrow shafts in the great pyramids.  i mean the carvings in temples across egypt (particularly Luxor).

also, i don't trust the guy who is (or was, something happened to him during the who egyptian revolution business) in charge of egypts antiquities.  i don't believe they waited a decade before they drilled through that stone door up that shaft.  i mean the guy found it in the early 90s and they didn't crack through until 2000's?!  BS.

you know there were what appear to be metal hinges on that stone door?

they don't talk about that much.
