I recently purchased the Sony 60gb hard drive video recorder/camera. I plan to do a little more in the future with it for my site. I have had the opportunity to record three videos of me during the OBE.

HD video recording is the best way to go - less problems with tapes.

Good job on the videos. I watched a few!

Science and the medical community will try to claim the grand prize based on theory, study, research..

Its great that science is exploring these types of virtual environments, testing, and trying to reproduce the effects of an OBE/NDE.

What I don't see is that the scientists calling up people that can project regular, had the NDE and compare - contrast to this testing. It's a narrow one side track minded test which doesn't complete the circle or rigors of true test.

As I said it before, the data is out there and its static consistencies, OBErs/ NDE'rs have rite of passage because of the experience. Science should mix the two and maybe then the world will see.

I have been projecting since 1987, consistently and able to do this on a weekly
basis's w/o fail. It can be done and takes a lot of energy, focus, concentration,
passion and intent.

Anyways, I have tracked seriously for the last three years of when, where, how, exercise,food,
three different methods I use to project, and arrived at one conclusion. It's a lot of work and paints a the picture of progress and how to tune into this vs. having random experiences.

Been to second life, its a awesome way to interact with people, but it's a global chat room for singles and dating.

I checked out SL for a few weeks, it was fun to a specific degree but left a mark of a glorified bar dating scene. Its great for people who are single don't get me wrong, but to be serious about this, create a chat room off your board for people to communicate and have scheduled time.

Better yet, why don't you have a conference call in # and schedule date/time to call in.

Not too many people will have the specs, software or the hardware to handle SL. Make it easy and straight forward vs. getting wrapped up into the technology.

Don't want to be the dour person here, but remember focus only one the basic's...

From memory, Bruce assisted a blind person to experience OBEs. The blind person didn't see, but could feel, sense, taste, smell at a higher level and rate. Also, Bruce mentioned that why do you need to see in the astral?

Never a less, so much more would be to help blind people, be able to see a flicker of light, shape, or a object. Although, I know it would be tough for someone who is blind to dicipher but I think it can be achieved.

As for proof, validation - I've past that mark a long time ago. It's unfortunate others want to 'see' miracles performed. What do I say? - do the work and you'll "see"...

The web site is a tool for people to learn from, visit, understand, and more a less "see" what it takes to succeed. All I see on the net is just posting of experiences, no background, science, or taking this further by exploration. People want a quick OBE fast-food fix and that just doesn't exist. Just by thinking,talking about OBEs will help a bit but in order to project you have to be in the game 24/7. Education, communication, experimenting, tracking statistics, journals, energy work and a lot of patience!

When I started projecting back twenty years ago, for at least 3-4yrs into the game I did get very tired of it and needed to focus on the physical. It did take awhile to break projections from occurring daily/weekly. I still projected but not on a high level. Learn balence and control about producing when you want to project.

I agree with Mustardseed, find out 'why' and experience what there is to offer. But also learn control!

Yah, this is something of interest and would be exciting if we could help
the blind "see" through an OBE.

I have been reading up on the internet about "Do blind people dream" and there are a lot of resources for this discussion.

Basically, it depends if the child at birth was blind, they still dream, but in a different sense. Most have auditoral dreams, feelings are enchanced with emotions, senses, smells at a higher rate than a blind person. Some blind people will see a visual mesh of colors that the brain will have a difficult time understanding and translating.

Blind people past a specific age will dream in enriched color, shapes, but objects are blurred to a degree and translation is fuzzy.

Now, my big interest would be to teach someone how to leave their body who is blind at birth. I do think there would be still a challenge of interpretation of visual stimulation and not understanding what they are seeing.

Yah, I am aware of the book and this is the information that keeps leading me back to his studies. I would like to however work with someone who is blind, teach them how to leave their bodies and see if there are reports of any perceptual visions.

When I first started out - I would write or say 500 times a day "I will project". Read everything I could possible get my hands on, communicate with forums (BBS boards back then), exercise with chanting and repetitive "i will project".. Not to mention track everything!

If you really want this, more then anything in the world - go the distance...

I know this topic has been discussed briefly here at AP, but never really discussed in-depth, studied, or researched.

In one of my latest radio interviews, I was talking with the host about "blind people" who can visualize objects, colors, textures during a Near Death or Out of Body experience. I would like to probe this further for any data that is out there on studies, publications of the present.

Would people here know anyone who is blind that is able to leave their body and experience full blown wide awake induced experiences with visual perceptions? Were they blind at birth or as they got older due to disease or accident?

I believe this is a big key element we should be investigating, re-searching and documenting.

Please advise!

I have been projecting for the last twenty years and am very lucky I found this through a friend's suggestion. Through OBEs, I am a hospice volunteer (companion to the dying), humantarian for AIDS walks, active with church and community. Help people through my web site about OBEs, and among other aspects physical and spiritual growth. I have been on numerous radio stations for interviews, and working on my first book.

All of this has stemed from OBEs and is a gift. I am also a very hard worker and do a lot of research, study, experience OBEs weekly. Not to mention, steadily for the last twenty years of projecting and working towards controlled vs. random experiences. You have to show up everyday and train for the olympics if you want success in this.

It all depends on how you look at OBEs and what can be achieved from it - scientific, spiritual, or religios.  Also, use positive intent when projecting and helping others back here in the physical and the other side. In physical and spiritual - there always will be the good and bad - this is how we learn through experiences.

I liked the audio bible that Zondervan published for NIV. It took me 5 months to get through it and document my understanding how it relates to OBEs and spirituality of this.

IMO, any bible that you feel comfortable with studying under christianity will suffice. Thou, I know there are slight differences in text - its all preference.

Good observations and understand where you are coming from.

On a average of succesfull experiences, I would say that I am at 80% confident and
comfortable with retaining intent, objectives during the experience. As for validations,
I have had enough evidence documenting, tracking, statistics that I no longer need
to pursue.

Also, just because the less time that it takes to enter the trance state to leave the body doesn't mean one will retain or remember intent. It swings both ways - You will need to focus daily, concentrate on one objective and realize there will be many failured attempts. Eventually, you will succeeed! Practice is the only key!

i was able to capture this on video 10 years ago and is documented on my web site.

it doesn't take much to make that shift and anyone can achieve the obe, especially from a
drousey state. remember, we are multidimensional beings that can shift on the spot - just
a matter how to cross that bridge and use the vehical we know best that works.

At one time, I thought that I projected all the time thru WA obe than from the
dream state. Its a good measure to see progress!

Good question here and this deserves input from me. Its never easy relating experiences of this nature to the generalized public, close friends or family members.

I had a tough time with my wife in the begining but she has come to understand the positive that derrives from these experiences and how it pushes me to being closer to our religion and faith. Being a better person, making a difference in the community and helping others.

Getting back to it, I personally don't think one should go out screaming from a mountain top "I leave the physical body" and think they have some special secret identity. Because, we know everyone can project that we are multidimensional beings. But I do think when confronted, hold your ground and show by example the positive influences of this awareness.

One has to lead by example and demonstrate the positive usefullness. Just because one person can't see, touch, or taste the spiritual level (astral, mental etc) doesn't mean they are wrong either but need to keep an open mind when confronting with this information.

If the person doesn't respond or care, then you don't waste the energy trying to communicate to them.

Thats my perspective.

Just recently, I video taped myself along with my Scottish Terrier "Leroy Brown" resting on the bed. Yes, pets do pick-up and can communicate while one is out of the body. Please review the document and check out the video along with it.
