Welcome to Healing discussions! / What book?

I ask because I hit a milestone event Saturday.  I was doing some Chakra to Chakra energy work.  When I got to the Heart chakra, everything clicked.  My heart Chakra was linked to theirs.  I could see it brightly glowing, energy radiating out of it as well as down my arm(the hands on point of contact), everthing was glowing brightly Astrally.  It was a profoundly spiritual experience, I think I could have cured anything in that state.  Mostly I just revealed in achieving it [:I]

Try Hands of Light or Light Emerging by Brennan (modern energy healing) or for philosophy on healing any of Harry Edwards books. Perhaps the Healing Intelligence or A guide to the Understanding and practice of Spiritual Healing (app have mentioned em before)! I can not recommend Harry Edwards enough - there must have been a million people on his healing list at one time!

Enjoy,

Could it be a reaction to enegy maybe, because i get alot of small white dots on my hands when i create (or start to create) a ki ball. just a side note, what the hell is going on with these white dot things, they seem too be scatterd around and get more denser and reder towards the middle of my hand, very strange! maybe this is some sort of reaction to energy or an actual physical reaction caused by continuious energy work, any ideas people?

I have heard some people explain this off as white dots, and sometimes seen in daylight dawn/dusk or in areas where ozone is more prevalent e.g. costal or mountainous regions as prana or chi/ki. On the other hand it may be phosphorescence or illuminated droplets of water (mist)! Although I am not sure if this is pseudoscience or not without further exploration!

I suspect it is prana/ki in your instance – sounds interesting!

A few pints of the dark stuff has been know to produce quite phenomenal effects as well. But then I would only recommend moderation in that case

All,

A commercial break of sorts: -

Extract 'Ted files to the rescue':-

http://www.geocities.com/juliatheyounger/ted1.htm

"Oh Ted!" said Dougal rushing in, excited. He'd been outside playing ball with Father Damo.

"What is it Dougal?" asked Father Ted Crilly, looking up from the Craggy Island Examiner.

"A big black car just pulled into the driveway. I think its Satan, Ted."

"Dougal, I'm sure it's not Satan." Ted got up and looked out the window, two figures in long overcoats with a very governmenty feel to them were striding up the path.

"They look like detectives," said Ted. He looked around but Father Jack was safely asleep on his chair. "What on earth could they want?"

"They've probably come to arrest you over that charity money Ted," said Dougal helpfully.

"Dougal - " Ted began.

Just then the door bell rang. Mrs Doyle came into the lounge room.

"Fathers, there's two people here from the Eff Bee Aye."

"The FBI?" said Dougal. "What's that then Ted?"

"The Federal Bureau of Investigation Dougal," said Ted. "They're like very important American police."....

Hi Frank,

Wow - wery interesting to see your observations about the 'Starscape Effect' - as your post actually answers something I had been puzzling over since my mid teens (gosh nearly 30yrs ago). For whatever reason my interest in OBEs waned off and on until coming to the fore again a few years ago! Funnily I experienced a similar effect whilst practicing a psychic awareness exercise very recently, although the objective was for a different reason it actually reminded me of my formative experiences.

Good soul food this [;)]

Many thanks,

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Advice..
August 15, 2004, 23:46:55
Welcome to the forum.

Most of us have gone through this stage you have described at some time or another. Yet even though I had thought I had overcome this some time ago I actually had an episode occur about 2 months ago. Although this was more a sense of dread after waking, and luckily I realised what it was, allowed myself a little time to gather my wits and after a warm drink eventually settled.

So I can respect it really can feel very frightening. As you know there is really nothing to fear, but fear itself, and although that is easy to say in practice it appears another thing altogether!

I notice that you have a copy of Astral Dynamics... please reread chapter 6 Walking Paralysis – as most of the answers you are looking for are within it! In addition I suspect from what you are saying is that you simply are not getting enough sleep as well! Consider going to bed a little earlier and if not already started try practicing some energy rising work for example New Energy Ways (NEW) as per the book. Be assured things will settle for you, but perhaps change a few patterns if at all posible.

If it is any consolation – as a child I used to suffer from really bad night terrors, but eventually found that that I was able to develop lucidity in those formative dreams. Try programming yourself in advance with a positive affirmations or short prayers of your own choice, and you should find that when you realise you are becoming lucid within your dreams that you will be able to exercise more control and overcome the issues at hand. If thing simply got too heavy I even had one I could used to enable myself to wake up! There are plenty of examples on the forum of more formal techniques in developing lucidity etc.

Hopefully your experiences will become not only enjoyable, but something that will add value to your life as welcome and joyful experiences.

Kind regards,

Stephen [:)]

Hey Stephen,

It's not my place to label Yoga anything, but with all of the various types of alternatives, I'm reluctant to ever try it (given SW's caution), and I'm sure you understand why for someone (me) who has never tried it. (ie. why even bother?)

If SW's "ghouls" do exist, I'll definately take some of his caveats to practice. It's not as if I am taking up any midnight rituals or anything. I do find it interesting in regards to what he says about the positions which point your rear-end to the sky...you never know Stephen, and when you live life, you have to discern between certain things with your gut.

I'm sure you're right with your eccentric example, but that seems to be kind of like a red herring -- SW says that those who practice Yoga incessantly for years denote these attributes...and this is from his empirical observation (ie. of friends, of acquaintances, etc) rather than his watch for odd-balls dying from a physical distortion.

Warm Regards,

Folks,

Pardon me going a little off topic!

Hi Amir,

Well I do admit I did have a right chuckle on reading Mr Wilde's article... although the yogic version of the funky chicken may well loosen up a few folk, and you never know it may even help to expel the odd entity or two!

Actually the Plough asana does have benefits on awakening the Vishuddi chakra (5th), and apparently helps with digestion and reproduction for example.

Wishing your gut (feeling) well [;)],

S [:)]

P.S. Never fear I am not going down the road of my Gung is better than your gung argument here! As I have had occasion to meet a few yoga snobs, and they can seem a bit up their own proverbials, but then the same can be said of people in all walks of life [;)]

In regards to protecting yourself from the T.V....it's not really "that big of a deal" in my opinion. There are certain remedies that some people speak about...takyon shields (http://montalk.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=303), or perhaps even colloidal silver? I'm sure just keeping your mind "on-guard" does a great deal.

Hi Amir,

Interesting thread... although I think to take Stuart Wilde's theory to heart on avoiding yoga because he thinks it is dangerous is more than far fetched [B)]

I had a look for his article (see link below), and its as if he had simply taken snippets of various author's work including Roberts Bruce's, thrown them all into a hot skillet in the middle of a crop circle, then invited the UFO aliens to beam a wierding ray into the pot and come out with a recipe ascribing yoga (hatha) as a quick fix for a short life and route to a hollow death!

http://www.stuartwilde.com/Articles/SW_articles_aviod_yoga.htm

Like many here I have practiced various forms of body/energy work like yoga (hatha) and also some Chi Gung. From my experience (however limited) it beggars the question:-

If these is any cause of concern surrounding yoga – it's in low quality training standards which abound more than anything else! Talking theoretically here: if for instance a neurotic, bankrupt, ex cocaine snorting, has been fatie burger eating, TV personality takes up yoga and then becomes ill - What would have been the set of real cause of their listlessness, chronic fatigue and bowel cancer?

By the way don't let me put a spanner on your thread, but that one caught my attention.

Please forgive the rant!

All the best,

Stephen

I've tried meditation before (from books, no meditation classes sessions in my area) It did help slightly, but I still go the other persons headache. I'm beginning to think that it has something to do with my age (15-teenager-hormones :S)

Hi Lucie,

Well headaches can be due to 101 things. From what you said about picking up the other persons headache makes me think of two causes in this instance.

1. Empathically (psychically) sensing the others pain, which will fade naturally.

2. Actually picking up or taking on their pain.

This type of case has often been documented as happening when someone is using their own energy during the healing. It used to be called magnetic healing or similar (if I recollect correctly)! To help to prevent this from happening again - it is more beneficial for the patient and the healer if you act as a channel for the healing energy e.g. ask for the highest source of healing light/energy to pass from the source through you to the patient. By the way I am not implying that you actually would pick up their condition(s), rather by acting as a channel you are very much less likely to be drained following the giving of healing etc.

Cheers,

Stephen
