Paul,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I am sure you will be able to bring great comfort to many in need by the way you express your commitment to this wonderful calling!

For those outside the UK the NFSH is a highly respected spiritual healing organisation. Their courses are very comprehensive and can take several years to complete. NFSH healers are often called to service when all else fails and are welcomed in for instance many Hospices in the UK!

NFSH stands for National Federation for Spiritualist Healers. See: http://www.nfsh.org.uk/

Correct me if I am wrong, but I understand that the NFSH it was in many ways inspired by the great work of the late great Harry Edwards. See: http://www.harryedwards.org.uk/

I very much recommend to anyone interested in healing to at least consider reviewing Mr Edward's lifework. A couple of books worth reading by him: 'The Healing Intelligence' and 'A guide to the understanding and practice of - Spiritual Healing'.

I have had opportunity to visit The Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary in Shere, Surrey, England a couple of times. It is an absolutely beautiful place... just being there would bring healing resonance to even the most jaded and tired soul!

Kind wishes,

Stephen [:)]

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Grief and Sex

Hi Gemma,

Again so sorry to hear about you mum's passing!

From my experience it can very much increase. Although in my case this has occurred also following in the grieving had from the likes of relationship break-ups.

I can appreciate that these feelings are making you feel uncomfortable... There are different approaches to dealing with raised sexual feelings of this type. One would be to - roll with it and do nothing. Another is to vent and find release by what ever means you are comfortable with (in a safe personal environment) ... another again would be say to raise the energy to the heart (centre) or other centres, and convert it into a loving spiritual release rather than just a sexual release. Or any combination of these things! It will ease off in time which ever way you approach things!

The thing here is do what you feel most comfortable with, but I feel that this is not an uncommon part of the grieving process and certainly nothing to be ashamed or to feel really uncomfortable about.

Sorry if this sounds a very simplistic answer!

Kind wishes,

Stephen

He asks how accurate everyone felt the fortunes were, and the great majority of the class rated it highly accurate. Then he has them pass their fortunes to each other, and they all discover that everyone got the same fortune. It's easy to look at general comments that pretty much apply to everyone, or pick out what parts are especially meaningful for you and ignore everything else.

That's great if you find meaning, but don't go abandoning your critical thinking skills.

EDIT: This isn't meant to give you a hard time, I just like to go against the current a lot, and keep people on their mental "toes".

It is interesting how COLD readings work is it not? But then Warm reading are so much more valuable!

LOL,

P.S. Nothing implied regarding this particular thread here by the way!

I was reading on here about vibrations. In another post, it said that it was the beginning of a projection? Is there a way to do this without knowingly trying? I laid down last night and I woke up because I couldn't feel my husband next to me. (I can't sleep if he leaves the room). But my entire body was vibrating. The vibrations on my hands were the strongest and took the longest to subside. About 10 minutes. I felt very relaxed and strange. After my legs were no longer vibrating, I went downstairs and found my husband outside smoking. Any input would be grateful. Thanks:)[:)][?][:)]

Hi Crystak,

Appreciate it can be unnerving to experience feelings as you have described. You are not alone with this as I more often have had experience of the famous vibrations accompanied by spontaneous projections than conscious OBE ones. More so had in childhood, but also on occasion over the interval ever since. If you have time to do some background reading on the subject – there is a plenty of resource available via the main site and more articles to be enjoyed in the file library.

Take care,

Stephen

Hi Erik,

Ah, your poor foot and in Anglo speak little toe is fine. Well obviously as women folk have been telling us all along your brain is clearly located in your toe (or other appendage)!

So in light of that what is happening is simply that your body is associating bed with sleep and not with trance states, and you toe is telling you so (etc) [;)]

There is no need to expect to have success with deep relaxation or trance in any position in particular. Try lying on the floor on say a mat, and if cold use a blanket to cover your self. Other than that stick with the sitting... During the Wales workshop with Robert Bruce last year a number of students had successful OBEs while sitting in what might seem to be plain vanilla everday chairs.

I'll let you go back to the footie!

All the best,

Stephen [:)]

Hi Brandon,

Don't let me stop you with personal pleasures, but to be brutally honest: weed brings no real benefit in energy body development and the awareness you felt is illusory!

However you would find substantial benefit by learning and practicing something like New Energy Ways (tutorial to be found on the main site), or by practicing something more physical like Hatha Yoga or Chi Gung. It's more fun (trust) and costs a whole lot less in the long run!

Enough bah humbug from me...

Enjoy life,

Stephen

Thank you for taking effort to share this deeply personal story.

Suicide and attempted suicide is something that has also touched my life (friends and family).  Although by comparison I can only but feel a humbled by your words!

I am sure your kind thoughts will continue to bring reassurance and be a great comfort to many!

Kindest regards,

Stephen

A pleasure as always. Have you read Memories of Franz Bardon yet? My little copy has just arrived this morning!

Hi,

Oddly enough I am also (slowly) getting through the The Extraordinary Story of the Polaire Brotherhood 2nd edition. You might also enjoy Anthony Borgia's Life in the World Unseen, if not already read. Although I have not quite had the courage to work through Findlay's tomes yet, but hope to do so [:)]

I do have one of those splatter guards but it rests in the bottom draw along with my garlic crusher, soda stream and toasty maker. Maybe my increased psychic awareness is telling me to dust that thing off and use it from now on. Although a splatter guard will not defend me from exploding camp fires and I'm not going to stop standing around them because they are so mesmerizing. They're great.
I'm not really reading too much into my coincidental burns. The above post was intended to be a light-hearted one and I dont really think that my third eye exercises have anything to do with me getting burned between the eyes.
You gotta admit that it is strange though.

Hi,

Yes, strange indeed and appreciate the spirit of your posts.

1st of all you are very welcome to the forum.

Personally I think you are reading into this obviously traumatic experience a little bit too deeply. Can I suggest with sincere respect that you consider a small investment in a Pan Splatter Guard (to be found at any good kitchen hardware store).

In the mean time I hope that you will be still able to flex your 3rd eye muscles with less discomfort from now on and enjoy your visits here all the more.

Kind wishes,
