QuoteDo you think that there are other people in far places who come to earth and do retrievals? Like when that random person appears and helps the old lady across the road.

Yes I do but it may not be considered a retrieval technically speaking. We usually only think about retrievals as an act of helping a "lost" spirit (or spirits) that is stuck in a belief trap. But we can help other entities that are still in their PMR. This kind of help may be what many people refer to as their guardian angel helping them out.

Without doing a search, there are thousands of stories in which someone comes forward from out of nowhere and does something miraculous to save someone's life only to disappear as quickly and mysteriously as they arrived. Even though people got a clear look at the 'helper" it isn't uncommon for there to be no consensus on what this person looked like or which way they went.

I am actually very new to the concept of retrievals myself and I have only had five experiences that I would classify as a retrieval but I have about a dozen more that may fit that occurred before I was even aware of the term. However, they all involved spirits "trapped" by their beliefs and are in no way similar to a guardian angel scenario.

QuoteHas anyone ever spoken with people in there NP experiences about dreaming ?

That's a good question. I have been told many times that I was in a dream but never once has any entity told me about their dreaming capabilities. I would have to guess that all consciousness dreams since that's what this party really is.

I understand that you are curious and we're glad that you are asking questions.

There's nothing wrong with trying to learn a couple of different methods but the Ganzfeld method really isn't one that a beginner will have much success in. It's certainly possible but like Lionheart said, it is better to learn how to tune out or away from the physical reality first.

Beginners get themselves in a bind because they are trying to learn a lot of different practices, like meditating, energy work with the chakras, and a whole list of metaphysics.

One should really focus on meditating because that is the master key that unlocks everything.  :-)

Always keep in mind that we are sometimes visiting a reality that isn't physical to us but it is the current physical reality for the "people" we meet. We can never be sure what their beliefs and culture say about "visitors" that can fly and move things with their minds. They may not trust us and this will ruin everything.

One reason that I have mentioned before on why I usually forget to do some pretty cool stuff like flying and such is the more physical the projection feels, the more I usually hold myself to the physical laws of our PMR. Fear and anxiety play a large role sometimes as well.

The few times that I did do that stuff in retrievals, it was just an instinctual reaction which raises it's own question. Where does the instinct to fly come from?

One last thing to consider is that we never know who is watching and we don't want to show our hand to early and allow them to rethink their strategy.

Now that there are over 7 billion individual human consciousness's today on Earth, I can't help but wonder the possibilities.

Bruce Lipton says that we have reached our apex in evolution as a singular species and that every time this occurs in nature , the next step in evolution is to form a collective.

Thoughts?

Dr. Atwater, the lady who introduces Bennett at the beginning, just did an interview last night. She actually had 3 NDE in 3 months herself. Now that's beating the odds.

Apart from a spoon.

If that spoon weighed 50 kilos and fell from the sky and was to hit you on the head, I think it would make an excellent tool for experiencing the NPR.

There appears to be a good possibility that death can be just as much a learning experience as life is.  Perhaps it's time to come up for a new word altogether. Something like "transition" maybe.

There are a lot of reasons for us to want death to be something more than infinite nothingness but the most appealing reasons of all is that we are presented with so many great mysteries and hardships in life that a reward of knowledge and answers can be it's own heaven, even for those who may go to hell (not that I believe in that).

It's all conjecture, I know, but there's reason to believe that our pursuit of wisdom and understanding continues after physical life ends and depends on the choices we will make then as well as now. Why else would there be ghosts hanging around the "earth plane" seeking justice for wrongs against them while alive? This suggests that if one is unwilling to go to the light, they will be missing out on at least some enlightenment.

Even the belief of reincarnations backs this up. If we were just given all the answers to everything that was and what will be, there wold obviously be no need to reincarnate unless it's just for the heck of it. Then again, that may be the reason for physical life, just for the heck of it. However, the beauty and ugliness of life itself, tells me that there is more to it.

So either our evolution of consciousness continues or the end is more than just a Door's song but instant wisdom and answers doesn't appear to be in the cards for us. Not IMO anyhow.

Since your scenario reflects a sudden and horrific death, I believe that many "souls" will be in a a state of shock just as they would be had they survived. :-o :? :-o

Common conjecture holds that an atheist or a "worm food only" thinker will most likely be the one in greatest shock to discover that their consciousness goes on without a hitch minus the brain and body. A popular belief is that once they realize they had it all wrong, many will suddenly believe that popular religions must have been right all along and now they will be condemned to a hell for not believing in a God. Thus they will be in a hell of their own making if they don't come up with an alternate theory pronto.

Even if their loved ones try to come to them and set them straight, their belief that they are hell bound can prevent them from seeing them as they really are and instead see them as demons and such. Certainly atheists won't be the only ones believing they are going to a hell as not all atheists will fall for that trap either. I think the most important factor is a spirits willingness to go into the light according to most NDE testimony.

This belief would directly contradict the idea that we are suddenly aware of all of our past lives and answers to the big questions since this knowledge if available instantly would surely prevent someone from being afraid of the light since they would know that this was business as usual.

This is all just common opinion and I believe my own experiences support as much but naturally, I can't be sure.

I like these kinds of questions. :-)

I just wanted to throw something out there. Proyect_Outzone wrote a book and has a link to it in the Writer's Corner forum.

It is very informative and highly detailed. I'm not positive but I believe he mentioned the Ganzfeld effect.

Allright then i may need to train for another 10 years to give you some advances in my work  :-D
Anyway, thanks for you responses! I will notify in any changes in my course

You never know. There are more than a few people here that have been projecting a just third of the time that I have yet they are far more advanced in respect to their spiritual growth and astral/NPR awareness.

It all depends on how serious you are and whether or not your willing to accept and explore somethings that contradict  mainstream belief and culture.

Good luck.

QuoteThis first experience is what you'd expect to hear about after 10 years or more of experiences.
It's so rare for a first.

That's exactly what I thought. It actually felt like it was similar to some NDE. He really was blessed to have that as a first one.

QuoteThoughts on open/closed heart with astral projection?

I've actually had some of my best OOBE while I was in the dumps over an ex. I also found that it was much easier to have one. In contrast, the lovey-dovey googly eyed feelings of crushing can bring about the opposite in my experience. This may be because the physical reality already feels like we're floating on the clouds.  .

And one more for good measure  .
#487
There will be times that you are worried about your safety during an OOBE because it feels so physical yet you're aware that your body is safely asleep. This needless worry can cause yet another split and then you become aware of a third reality that you're experiencing and then it's over from all the worrying.

I personally have not gained any insight or benefit from experiencing so many different realities at once but I know there has to be, probably the greatest of all. I am aware of what others say about it but I am not advanced enough to glean the benefits yet.

Maybe in another ten years. :-)

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Pineal Gland

The pineal gland gets a lot of attention because of what science says about it but if I can't take it with me during an OOBE, I don't need it for the experience.

Thanks for giving this thread a bump astrophlakes!!

I have heard bits and pieces of his story and this was a good read.

My favorite part:

QuoteWhat happens when we dream? We are multi-dimensional beings. We can access that
through lucid dreaming. In fact, this universe is God's dream. One of the things that I
saw is that we humans are a speck on a planet that is a speck in a galaxy that is a speck.
Those are giant systems out there, and we are in sort of an average system. But human beings
are already legendary throughout the cosmos of consciousness. The little bitty human being
of Earth/Gaia is legendary. One of the things that we are legendary for is dreaming. We are
legendary dreamers. In fact, the whole cosmos has been looking for the meaning of life, the
meaning of it all. And it was the little dreamer who came up with the best answer ever. We
dreamed it up. So dreams are important.

It's hard to not desire justice, payback, or retribution but if ever there was a way to place yourself under karma's law, demand justice.

I have never places any importance on feeling the vibrations before projecting. Sometimes they are intense and other times I barely feel them if at all. I do put myself into SP but instead of anticipating the sensations it assocciated with SP, I start right off with visualizing some scene to become a part of. I usually "click" out before I even realize it. This process takes between 10-20 minutes usually. Sometimes faster, sometimes longer.

A common "mistake" mew AP'ers make is that they have projected and don't realize it because they didn't feel all the vibrations and stuff first so they discredit the experience as a "dream". It is a major fallacy to assume that your experiences will be anything like the ones you have read. In essence they are but it will take some time to realize this.

It will happen, I see it in your future. :-D

QuoteWonder what I would have learned if   I had put away fear, distrust, and a deserving attitude?

Maybe you learned what you were supposed to learn. A similar experience may be coming in which you will be needed calm and in control and this little episode was a preemptive.

Quotehowever in order to AP I know I have to raise my vibration which almost creates a paradox with this catch 22 desire.

The real paradox is that this is only true if you believe it to be so. I have never spent a second trying to raise or lower my vibrations. Now, I concede to the possibility that I may be missing out on something special, but it isn't AP that I'm missing out on. :-)

I understand that many do and I see value in that, however, I have spent many years doing this and I wasn't even aware of the term.

I don't know.  My mom and I both frequently hear the ringing in our ears (which can be rather irritating).  A few years ago, though, I found that with practice I could fairly well control the volume and sometimes even shut it out.  For me, I can be in a completely quiet room and not hear it.  It does start up now and then and, if I think about it, I can still hear it.  Has anyone else had the same experience?

Quote...But, if you are experiencing ear ringing without meditating or Aping, then it's time to see a Doctor about that because it could indeed be Tinnitus or something else in wrong with the ear drum itself.-Lionheart

When you said you can have psychic abilities, did you read it in a book or have you known people to have developed psychic abilities.

I personally have had more than a few experiences happen to me. They were uncontrolled and happen at random times but there is no other logical explanation for how I have come across the information that I received. I have not tried to develop any ability and I'm uncertain as to what to call them.

Hello there Serenelylove. I'm glad to see that you decided to become a member. I previously stated that I was concerned about their age but I have since decided that their desire to learn is more important. I won't be getting too philosophical or deep into anything unnecessarily.

Feel free to partner me with whomever.

I'm glad to see someone your age trying to help others. And believe me, this is a great way to help someone.

Good luck.

I recently made the mistake of telling my brother-in-law that I intentionally have OOBE. He is a closed minded skeptic but more than that, he is too lazy to put in the work. He asked me what all have I seen and learned from developing this ability, not out of curiosity but more out of a desire to laugh at a nut.

I was not able to convey the importance and greatness of this ability since he had a mocking attitude and besides, he wasn't worth the frustration of having to answer a thousand questions.

So, I decided to take the time and lay it all out so that I may be properly prepared to put a scoffer in his place. However, many new members of the Pulse ask similar questions and it is for them that makes me want to take the time and answer this as I have come to see it.

I have no new information here and it will be most familiar to all of the experienced members but that is where the beauty of this can be realized. Since AP and OOBE are so subjective in nature, I find it to be a validation in it's own right when so many people have come to draw the same conclusions. In the interests of clarity, I will only call it AP instead of switching back and forth with OOBE as well.

One fantastic side effect of AP is that many people often times have an "awakening" of psychic abilities. There are far too many so I can't list them all but here's some of the most common abilities that people have reported to suddenly have or to become aware of in their lives.

*Precognition- This is when you have a "vision" of some future event. It is usually seen in the mind's eye.

*Premonitions- This is very similar to precognition but the key difference is that someone just knows or has a strong feeling that something is going to occur rather than "seeing" it.

*Clairvoyance- The ability to see something that is not there. This can be seen with either the eye or in the mind.

*Remote Viewing- This is the ability to see something in real-time but is not within physical eyesight.

*Reading Aura's- This is a skill that allows someone to read the energy fields that are radiating from people, animals or objects.

*Healing- This may be one of the most valued psychic ability and benefit of AP. Someone with this gift can detect unknown illnesses or disease through psychic means.

Feel free to expand this list or on the definitions of the psychic abilities .

Besides a psychic awakening, most people report a greater sense of just "knowing". This sense can only be derived from personal experience. Otherwise, no one can be completely sure of anything. I've never seen the great pyramids of Egypt but I really do believe that they are there since so many people have reported this to be true. However, I do know that there is a moon in the sky tonight because I just personally saw it. There is a belief for everything so where's the harm in just "knowing" something is true for you?

AP usually leads to a heightened sense of awareness as well. Our non-physical explorations have taught us to pay attention to even the smallest details and this carries over to our waking lives. In addition to that, most report that they have an increase in intelligence. There are no shared conclusions as to why this would be true but many feel that AP helps us to tap in to parts of our brains that were previously underused.

All the techniques and methods of AP require us to increase our visualization skills which is another way of saying that we have to have an active imagination to envision non-physical scenarios which help us lose our attention of this physical reality. If necessity is the mother of invention than an active imagination is it's father.

Many people have a fear of AP for many different reasons but the irony of this is that fear is one of the first things that is diminished after developing this ability. The fear of death loses it's grip on most people who AP because they come to know for themselves that consciousness is not generated from the body. The logical conclusion to this is that a body isn't necessary in order to exist. People who are concerned about losing their religious beliefs shouldn't be. Over half of those who have projected report that their beliefs have been reaffirmed. Their fear of not wanting to anger something that is superior transforms into a desire to please. Those who can't go back to their old beliefs find that this isn't a problem since it is their own personal experience that has told them to change and hold on to no guilt for doing so.

AP almost always leads to a feeling of being connected to the universe/God/Source and an increased respect for life. Life is about having experiences so that we may develop as a consciousness and we see the value in allowing all life to have it's own experience. From this arises a deeper sense of responsibility and personal accountability.

Let's not forget about the fun! AP allows us to go to far away places both here and out of this universe. We see all kinds of beautiful settings and meet the most amazing beings. You can experience what it is like to be a tiger or to fly thru the air like a bird with or without wings. There really is no limit to the possibilities.

AP can't be proven real by science but their skepticism can be erased after a single projection but take your time before deciding for yourself whether or not any of this is objectively real. Either way, you will come to know that you are better off for having developed this amazing ability.

QuoteYou've got to get good at almost falling asleep, refocusing into the trance, almost falling asleep, refocusing into the trance, etc...

This is not only great advice but I think it is necessary to develop this ability if you want to be able and phase instead of projecting from a dream.

It's a fine line that you have to be able to reach without crossing over and falling asleep. Most people will undoubtedly fail and fall asleep many times before they succeed. In an attempt to phase, it gets harder and harder each time you reach that "line" and step back from it. Once you succeed, it naturally gets easier and the time needed to do it shortens but there's always the possibility of falling asleep. However, if you are able to anchor yourself and pull back a few times before falling that occurs, there's a good chance that you will gain your awareness in a dream and project anyways.

I used to place a lot of importance of the way that I projected, i.e. phase or project from a dream, but I no longer place any value over one or the other.

I believed that my OOBE from phasing where less influenced by my sub in comparison to a dream projection but I realized that this was only true because I thought it was. It takes a little bit of "wiping the screen clear" after a dream but that too is as simple as a thought to do so.

A dream is really just a free trip to the astral with no intention required to get there.

Good luck.
