Welcome to Astral Chat! / I've ascended
December 21, 2012, 12:02:16
2012 hit me in the head with an iron skillet, and I've ascended. It's great up here, but a lot of back-breaking work. These mayans ain't no joke... work, work, work... hurry, we have to get these pyramids built ASAP...

Hang-on... my foreman, Mr Quetzacoat-a-something just informed us we're working on a new calendar... geez...

I will send a post card on my first break, which I've been informed is in 126 baktun, however long that is.

Also, I find intuition to be the opposite side of prayer. When you pray with a question about something, use your intuition as a way of receiving the answer. My intuition often lets me know what's up before I have to ask. I pray for others much more than myself.

It's good to hear that you have the determination to pull yourself out of it Cody. Keep at it and enjoy your Holidays! :)

Szaxx is spot on. To add:

Before I make an AP attempt, I first meditate on my intent... I remove all other thoughts and feelings, and focus with deep feeling on what I want to achieve. Once I have that fully realized with a deep desire and feeling, I hold onto that feeling and begin my projection attempt. The key here is feeling, not words or a general expression or repetition, and that feeling stays present throughout the attempt. If for some reason I get lost in a thought, I come back to the exercise and reinstate the intent again through feeling.

I've just acquired the first two levels of the Gateway Experience on cassette along with several of the Human Plus titles, also on cassette.

Any thoughts on how to effectively use these would be welcome.

Thanks,

Bryan

This might help. I know there is more stuff regarding Wave I - it used to be a fairly big topic here.

An example of what I've learned from prayer: if you pray for patience, you don't automatically get patience... you get bombarded with a whole lot of situations that require you to practice patience.

But I agree, it's just a way of focusing your intent.

I've never read his books or watched an entire lecture... just skimmed stuff, along with hearing all about him here over the past few years. He is very clear and concise with everything he says. I don't have any arguments about his material. But I've never heard him say anything I haven't already came across somewhere else. He just puts it together in a nice, more modern package that's backed with personal experience. I can't argue with that.

I can get to a point where I have little tingling sensations (I think that is the right description) and have noticed my lower arms are numb, and yesterday listening to a
certain binaural beat I started getting some light visuals like light moving around in my eye lids a little but that is the furthest I have been.

Those are things that happen as your body is slowly shutting down and sensory input is slowing down. It's a good indicator you're going in the right direction, but it's really just starting. For myself, I had to do it consciously over and over, and little by little all of it starts to become very normal and you stop paying attention to it. Then you can go deeper and deeper with fewer distractions and enter a deep trance that you can project from. All I can say is don't get frustrated and keep practicing.

QuoteHow do I know when Im in the vibration stage? Does it feel very heavy? How do I relax enough to get there?
When I am there should I not be able to feel myself breathing anymore? what should my body be feeling like?

These are things you don't have to worry about. If you get vibrations (not everyone does), you'll know - they are unmistakable, and if you're not prepared for them, they'll surprise or scare the crap out of you. They are that intense. When you're ready to project you will know it. If you're questioning it, you're not there, and it can even end up being another interruption. Keep a passive frame of mind and let thoughts fall away, don't analyze them.

It could be associated with what you were doing during the day (heavy physical activity), or it could be an imbalance working itself out, or maybe the start of a kundalini experience, which starts at the base and rises through your spine to your crown. Your base chakra is the one that grounds you in the physical, so maybe you're loosening that grounding. That's all I got. :)

There isn't any way to describe an experience outside of space & time, so it's hard to wrap your mind around this on a physical level, if not impossible. All incarnations are simultaneous, and your real "self" exists outside of space and time. From that perspective an entire life is seen as a whole, like looking at a single object, and the a self that exists in 1125 BC and your self that exists now can be seen as 2 objects next to each other. They didn't "happen", they just are. The moment of birth is no further away then the moment of death. The part that's most hard to understand are the variables, which I suppose are fractal like: each part of the fractal contains information for everything, but on a physical level only 1 aspect of that fractal can be experienced at a given moment, shaping that self. I guess. Something like that.  :-P

Very nice! The vocals and instrumentals work well together.

I agree - very good work. :D

QuoteDo you think it's possible they know I am not ready or aware enough to have a conversation with them? Are they still in touch with me or have they moved on to higher realms now and don't really stick around where I am at a whole lot?

I've come across 2 people in my life that had passed, though both times were very short and with very little communicated: basically that they are doing more than OK and gave me reassurance in my own life. You hear a lot about people helping the deceased, but they were much more supportive to me than I was to them. I think for the most part their transition and transformation is something that's hard for us to conceptualize, so actual communication might be difficult depending on the situation.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Are you happy?
December 12, 2012, 11:34:24
I'm satisfied with my life. There are aspects of it that make me happy at times, but overall, I would just say I'm content and appreciative of where I've gotten - it could have been a whole lot worse. It's the small things I find happiness in on a daily basis, like listening to Bob Marley at the end of a long day or having a cup of tea on the porch in nice weather. It's those things that make everyday a good day.

I think I'm just echoing what everyone else said, but I'll say it anyways: Being self-conscious can be OK at times, but during social situations it almost always makes it awkward. It's normally because we're afraid of judgement and try to form a picture of what other people are observing... and often it's wrong and just leaves us feeling awkward for no reason. The trick is to stop analyzing everything and getting the voice in your head to shut up. Be confident in yourself and don't care about what other people think... people pick up on that confidence and completely disregard any shortcomings. You know, the goofball with the hot chick.

No one is happy all the time. Life is relative to your situation, and no matter what that is, you're going to have your ups and downs. I think the key is having a balanced life. If you're only looking for happiness and fun, you're probably going to be disappointed, just as you would be if you were only looking for money or sex.

True spiritual freedom is in your thinking. If you really want to break the bonds of society's rules and values, you have to change your inner relationship to them through your thinking, feeling, & willing. It's not just what you do, but how you perceive. Your outer world is a reflection of your inner world. :)

I'm a big David Lynch fan. I think all of his movies are non-physical consciousness inspired. They all have a level of reality that exists behind the surface of events & characters.

"The Holy Mountain", "Enter the Void", & "Izo" are other non-physical inspired movies off the top of my head.

Alex Gray is definitely inspired by non-physical experiences: http://alexgrey.com/

I think there are a lot of other artists that touch on it without actually having a non-physical experience... it just seeps out of them naturally. Or they find it through their art, rather than the other way around. I like artists that aren't afraid to express dark or creepy parts of their subconscious, like HR Giger or Salvidor Dali. Diving into your subconscious is still working on an astral level.

I think the news was that Billy Graham was retiring and his son was taking over. It was a pretty big deal in the news at the time because of his huge stadium shows.

Lucifer is the light bringer... it's the knowledge that illuminates the darkness. It's the snake who temps from the tree of knowledge, endowing humans with an ego. It's not good or bad, but when connecting it to ego, it's easy to see how it can get turned personified into a demon.

If you're going for a classic OBE, Bruce's techniques work just fine. It's true that we're not really in our bodies, but for your current perception as a physical being, it's fine to see it that way while you're in the process. "Loosening" and doing energy work for projection are legit techniques. If you want to phase, holding the perception of going "inward" rather than leaving your body may be more correct. But I don't think there is any argument that when doing a classic/etheric OBE that you are separating from your physical body (in terms of physical space). Space and time may be an illusion, but you still have to deal with it just as you do in the physical.

I also like easy rider alot, haha... again, no particular order

The Deer Hunter
Bladerunner
Easy Rider
Rashomon
The Seventh Seal
Princess Mononoke
Kiki's Delivery Service
Apocalypse Now
El Topo
Enter The Void

You know, I've never seen The Seventh Seal, and I'm a bit ashamed of that. Roshomon made me realize that I didn't put a single Kurosawa film on my list :( . I love The Hidden Fortress. Toshiro Mifune is like the Japanese Steve McQueen to me.
