QuoteThe only part I do not understand is I felt like a pinpoint of consciousness that moved downward and out. I was not aware of an energy body.

That's awesome! I had many experiences before I had one like this. I'm not usually aware of my body but I'm very rarely aware that I have no body. There's a huge difference.

What's cool is that most people usually have this type of awareness in a NDE and the best of the best OOBE. Was your experience short?

I think it can be easy so long as they want to see you as well. But in case they don't, that doesn't mean anything bad. They may be busy or are waiting for the right time to get in touch. Just because they died, doesn't mean they no longer have a life to live! :-D

Don't get down on yourself for missing the opportunity to talk to it this time. Just acknowledging the missed opportunity this time will help make sure you won't miss it the next time around.

SP can get out of control if your too fearful but there's little I can do about that in the moment. The fear leaves me quickly now but I usually miss these opportunities because I'm just usually happy to recognize what's actually happening.

If you can keep it together and not wake yourself up fully, experiences following a fearful SP episode can be amazing.

No one really knows what the limits, if there are any, to projecting. Float tanks are another means of pushing the boundaries.

I've only used binaural beats a few times but the last time that I did, I felt the "vibrations" more intensely than I ever had before. This got me excited and made for an amazing experience.

I have no current interests in using any aids or tools but I absolutely encourage others to use them if they wish. Some people use them to have their "break through" experience while others use it to push their limits. That's all.

Thanks Beedeekin.

From data encryption to a battery power source, who knew?

QuoteI never met the guy to ask this question to. Annoying isnt it?

I don't know Szaxx, we may not have to wait much longer. One thing I'm sure of, we are only being shown the tip of the iceberg as far as where they have or want to take this.

Have the principles of quantum entanglement ever been demonstrated or is it just a theory. Sorry if my ignorance is showing but I'm no scientist.

I understand the concept but not the depth of it's implications.

QuoteQuick question for you,  when your' out and about' how do you travel? Meaning do you use thought transportation, walk or fly?

It really just depends on the situation. I usually hold my self to physical laws so walking is my main mode of transportation. I usually fly only when I am in a fun or light-hearted scenario or when the exact opposite is true. What's weird in those cases is that I'm not thinking about flying but rather I am in such fear for my safety that I just think about doing whatever it takes to get out of the way of, say a large wave crashing down on a pier is one example that I vividly recall. But flying above the wave wasn't my only option. I could have stopped the wave with just a thought or I could have used countless other tactics.

This is why I think it's important to try and get something out of every experience. Although I wouldn't say that I wasted time, I spent many years without fully utilizing each experience. So take every opportunity that you can remember and fly. More than that, "bring" whatever it is that you want to see to you instead of going to it. I've also learned how valuable telepathy is as well as blocking others from reading your thoughts.

I'm not a stick in the mud by any measure but most of my OOBE are serious in nature. I am always "thrown" into the middle of a crazy scenario and I have to gain my bearings quickly or I am being tested. I think this as a lot to do with our personalities and what are individual motives and goals are for having OOBE in the first place.

Everything is really just a thought away. However, remembering that is another story .

Their posts are older but they wrote them when they first succeeded. I have all kinds of advice on the basics but you have reached the stage where you're so close, that you just need that last piece to fall in place.

Reading and thinking about OOBE will help reinforce your subconscious (I don't like that word) and will probably eventually lead to a spontaneous OOBE.

Good luck.
#534
It's just a matter of gaining your awareness at the right time.

I'm realizing that I'm not the right person to be giving advice to people who are struggling to have an OOBE. It was rather easy for me so I don't intimately understand all the frustrations though I do on an academic level. I am not trying to brag but rather I am pointing out the gap or gulf that exists between the experienced and the new initiate. :-)

There are some stickies from some members that detailed their steps to success. Contenteo and PersonalReality come to mind. They give tips and advice that only someone who just recently succeeded can really offer. It always, always, always, comes down to the little things and we each struggle with a different little thing. For Contenteo, I believe he said it was how he was resting his jaw and teeth.

Good luck.

This reality just happens to be the one that we are interfaced to interact with in a physical manner. I've had OOBE where "people" were scared out of their minds to see me, however much or little of me that they could.

This made me think that I was their version of what we refer to as a shadow person. :-)

I'm waiting for the article, " Top Scientists Believe Consciousness Exists Independent of the Body". I'll be waiting for awhile...........

Excellent!!! :-D :-) :-D

I've always enjoyed your beautiful posts and you'll make a great addition. :-) :-) :-)

Nowadays research just means ripping off an idea from someone else.

With the internet and texting, ideas catch on and spread around the world in hours. I bet it was cool to only hear bad news every few months.

See that? One reply and your topic has already been morphed.

QuoteI like the idea. Now then, how do we get into the RTZ.

My thoughts exactly. A few months ago I could RTZ every other time but it's been awhile. If Szaxx can't get there consistently, no hope for me.

It's never happened to me but it does seem to be happening to many people. The thing is, we can't just AP then have the rest of our life exist in a vacuum. Once the door is opened, other weird things get out as well.

Time glitches, clairvoyance, aura reading, empath abilities and healing, the list goes on. We won't all experience the same ones and they will vary with intensity but once you accept that something is indeed happening, the weird will become your new normal.

After my second OOBE, which was spontaneous, I made up my mind then and there that if I was going to hell, then I would go to hell but I was tired of the fear and wanted to know what was happening.

It takes conviction and this has been a long journey but if you're tired of being scared you'll have more of those wonderful OOBE like the one you just had.

Good luck.
#542
Thanks guys, but something tells me the spammers aren't scared.

Bob Peterson explains his first OOBE in one of his books how he split his consciousness into five different aspects of himself and they were all working on a computer program that he was writing. If that sounds confusing, you're not alone. But it makes more sense in his own words.

Is it this one?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2333515/Mermaid-hoax-How-mockumentary-gave-Animal-Planet-biggest-audience-EVER.html

That's it. I don't consider it a hoax but a mockumentary. It was done in a real convincing style. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Something worth trying is to read about 30 minutes before you attempt. I've noticed that this primes me for a projection since I've already activated my visualization skills. I've talked with other experienced projectors and many have noticed a correlation.

I'm sure you are familiar with the many different techniques so it's really up to you to have that "a-ha" moment. If you are getting into SP then it's just a matter of allowing some scenario to take hold in your mind and before you know it....

QuoteI have never yet experienced a retrieval in 30 years. it's not a problem.. I just can't take part in these threads and feel a little left out.  cheesy

My true function in this evades me... yet I am happy nonetheless grin

I have never met someone whom I love and has past that wasn't just a thought form of mine. One of my best friends died about two years ago and many people rumored that it was suicide. At the time I believed this was very damning and I was consumed for months with trying to contact him but to no avail.

I think there are several reasons why I never did reach him, a couple being that he may not have wanted me to and another is that I may have had the wrong intentions but I don't feel this is so with some others that I wanted to reach.

The experience that you wrote about when you saw your mother was one of the most touching since I am a mama's boy.

Another experience that I have always wanted but have yet to have is a meeting with God/Source/Creator.

We don't always get what we want but if we try, sometimes we get what we need. Thank You Mr. Jagger.

Never underestimate the effects of SP. I believe science has done a decent job in explaining how we are affected during SP but says nothing as to why we have the experience. Science never can as that is the purpose of living in the first place, to figure out WHY'S for ourselves.

Personally, SP can be very enjoyable or downright terrifying but it never lasts long since I am aware of the state that I am in. If I have a FA combined with SP, I usually have to change the sheets.

QuoteWas this the start of a retrieval ?

So iv never done one before, But I'm SUPER keen and iv been reading a lot about them on here lately so its fresh in my mind.

This is how it started for me. I read about the retrievals that others had and was a bit envious to be honest. The idea of helping someone like this just instantly resonated with me and I wanted to help.

QuoteIm pretty devastated that i didn't get to pursue it or that i didn't do it straight away, But exited that maybe ill get to start from where i left next time..? Or have i missed the boat..?

I'm inclined to believe that this probably was the start of a retrieval. Not because of anything in particular but more so because our intuition during OOBE are exceptional. So I would trust your gut feeling. On the other hand, we can be completely misled even in the presence of a guide if they believe there is a more valuable lesson.

Some retrievals can take many experiences to figure out while others can be done almost instantly. I believe we are chosen specifically for what we can personally bring to the table. Someone else may have done hundreds of retrievals yet they may not have the particular insight that you have to offer and therefore you may be more properly suited.

Don't waste time feeling devastated. Like our resident retriever expert Szaxx always says, "Failure is not an option." If this truly is a retrieval, you will return and get the job done. It can be difficult for others to figure this out for you since you were the one chosen to get it done based on what you have to offer. But please share more with us. Success is elating and I'm a junkie for these!

That's why this should be used in conjunction with traditional therapy. It should be used medically for this reason alone. If the scientific community stopped trying to prove whether it's 'real' or not using half-assed experiments and looked at the benefits... things would be a whole lot different. Imagine a world where psychiatric therapy involved a traditional one on one approach mixed with metaphysical therapy.

I recently watched a show in which some top companies are using dream therapy and analysis to improve morale and overall performance of their workers. The show was biased but was overall positive in it's conclusions. Many people were hesitant to participate since Americans see a conspiracy in everything, including French fries, and thought this might be some sort of intrusive...well you get the point. But one guy got a huge bonus after he dreamed about a solution to a problem on the production line.
