Ol grimmy is good to talk to. He has problems with Chronos, hates his mood swings. He's only doing his job after all.
It's obviously not your turn yet. I wouldn't put your name on his list though, there's very little chance of escape. Ol Grimmy is very good at the job he's got...

From what I hear, he never calls in sick and has only late for appointments when it gets busy around the holidays. He does show though. His motto is better late than never.

I have met his younger bro, the Rem Sleeper. :-P

QuoteI hope vampires are reading this thread.

We just barely got through fighting off the vamps but now that you bumped this thread, they may return.  :-o

It seems like every culture has a different interpretation of encountering a character form of death in a dream. Most don't link it to an actual physical death so don't worry about anything like that. I know you weren't but I'm just saying is all.

I have a lot of dreams with zombies in them but I can't recall ever running into the grim reaper himself. These dreams are never scary but they can get a little creepy at times.

Does anyone have an idea how free energy would work?

Will huge power stations be built and then tied into the grid? This would make us only have to pay for the maintenance of the structure and not for the energy itself.

Or will we have to buy single units and run individual homes and businesses off of it?

For decades, the US and most major powers rode cheap hydrocarbon energy to the top. Whether or not it is depleting, doesn't matter. What matters is that they are telling us it is and we must therefor spend more of our income on it. Now that countries like China and India have developed an industrial infrastructure based on HCE, the oil cartel has now suddenly claimed that the supplies are running out while the rest of the world says the emissions are also killing our planet. In other words, if you want to use this rapidly depleting and earth killing energy, it will cost big bucks.

Don't forget that HCE producers are not the only one who stand to lose big on free energy. All the so called green energy people will not like us to have a perpetual energy source now that they are investing their own big bucks.

I really like how cap and trade has finally made it possible for our gov to tax the air we breathe. Air was the last essential that wasn't exploited for taxes.

QuoteFear is the only thing holding me back, I'm just afraid of what might be waiting for me on the other side..

To get over your fear, you have to understand that there are consequences for everything we do or don't do. If you can live with those consequences, you can live without fear...Not my words but I don't know who to attribute them to.

Figure out how this applies to you and then proceed from there.

Good luck.

I first heard Peterson on Dave Schrader's show and have liked him ever since.

The only thing that I don't completely agree with and this is just a matter of opinion but he thinks that lucid dreams and OOBE are completely different since he believes that we actually leave our bodies and I believe it is just a different state of consciousness.

In either case, it is important and neither belief lessens the value. One just makes more sense to me but then again, I believe in a lot that some would say makes me crazy.

We come from similar backgrounds and I liked him instantly. Thinks for the link to his book, I'll read it shortly.

I don't think cannabis in and of itself stops people from projecting. I think what happens is that people smoke some and then began to wonder if it will affect their ability. All it takes is a couple of unsuccessful attempts and a lot assume that it's the problem, so it is.

Like all things in life and especially when it comes to projecting, it doesn't matter whether you believe you can or you can't, you are right. :-D

Many people have their first encounter in the NPR with their awareness while under the affects of various drugs, so I don't believe that drugs are the problem...in specifics to being able to project only.

Personally, I like to be as sure as possible that my experiences are as objectively real...given the subject matter. So I would discredit any NPR experience that I had if I was under some type of drug but that doesn't mean it wasn't a "real" experience, of course it was.

Instead of drugs causing hallucinations, I think that they dampen or altogether temporarily diminish (depending on which drug) the part of our brain that normally "closes" off the NPR to our waking life. In other words, drugs can lift the curtain.

Just to be clear, I do not use nor do I promote any type of substance use to project. It is completely unnecessary IMO, but I will not discount their validity and religious value to many cultures.

Here's a tip.

When trying to AP, instead of anticipating what is gonna happen next, try to just experience the current moment. When you stop wondering where you can go, you can be amazed at where you're at.

Seriously.

Good luck

So does this mean he does not have the right to remain silent & they can torture him too? That doesnt mean they will get anything out of him.

There is never any excuse for torture and I hope that the US has learned that listen but I'm not sure how you tied torture to this public safety clause.

In any case, the clause has become a moot point since they already read him his rights over a week ago.

The guy was a US citizen and this would have set a dangerous precedence.

Thanks for sharing that Lion. I love the types of finds. BTW, most of that gold was mine in a past life. How to I go about making a legal claim. I imagine it shouldn't be to hard.

Whatever he says can't be used against him without reading him his rights.  :|

Under the clause where the police think that their is still an extreme risk to the public, even without reading the suspect his rights, his statements are admissible in a court of law.

That's why their consideration to apply that legal clause had many outraged and reasonably so. I don't agree with it entirely but I understand their side as well.

QuoteThere is always something different, the feelings and sensual information is 'different' however I have no memory of normal waking life so it's hard to categorize it as abnormal or dreaming. It's almost as if my abilities have taken a Parabolic curve back to when I was just learning to refine my natural Lucid Dreaming ability. You may have the similar problems, or a better idea as to solving this.

Hi Mikey.
Welcome to the Pulse.

Are you saying that you have no identity during the dream? In other words, you don't identify with being you?

Or you just don't know how you got there?

Here's my take. This is pretty much the same thing as what many call phasing. I use different terms but they really get us all to the same state of consciousness.

I say that I have phased when I intentionally project without losing my awareness from start to finish and I can only do this when I am laying down. For all intents and purposes, I am physically asleep but when the projection is over, I can immediately get back up but I usually fall asleep. If I do sleep, I hardly ever (I think never, but who knows) forget these experiences though or recall them as just a "dream".

If I have an OOBE from which I find myself dreaming and then gain my awareness, I call that a projection and I no longer value one method over the other. I hardly use the term lucid dream because I rarely remain in that dream state once I gain my awareness. But there is a great benefit to remain in that lucid dream without turning it into a projection. A lucid dream is where you can learn to fly, manifests objects and pretty much act like a clown all you like. It's fun and there is a lot to learn there.

I believe that a dream, a lucid dream, and an OOBE are all the same things with different amounts of awareness and control. I don't believe that I actually leave my body either. I perceive it more as becoming compatible with different wave lengths or vibrations even though these terms do not fully describe what I mean. But for the lack of a better term, they work just fine and there's no need for me to reinvent a language that gets the job done.

One last thing, when we do phase, these are the times that we are most likely going to feel vibrations and hear noises that seem to be external, and all those other weird things (Science actually does a great job in explaining these sensations). These sensations really set some people back. If they do, try projecting from a lucid dream. You can get to the same "place" and skip all of that.

Good luck with your explorations.

Physically moving a body part at first may seem contradicting but I can see how this would work. Thanks for the idea. It may help someone out.

My problem is when I have false awakenings. Anything that comes after that usually freaks me out and wakes me up the greater scare of SP. If something startles us, there is very little we can do in the moment to not become scared but we can shorten the length of time that we remain scared.

But alas, I have finally beaten that twice in the last month and I honestly don't know what to say other than I told myself that this needed to stop (the physically waking up part). I still get freaked out but laugh it off. Silly zombie, I am.

Oh, congrats on being a new mother! Teach that girl young so she can become some great psychic.

are you religious? usually fear comes from religion not hollywood.

Fear is a powerful tool and any media, company, government, or organization will use it equally depending on their agendas. That is to say, they will abuse fear mongering to whatever extent they think is necessary to keep their interests in line.

1.) Yes, I believe children can do it as quick as they can close their eyes. For adults, it's a whole different story. It take years and years. I've been having OOBE for 13 years come this summer and I'm no where close. Sometimes I can do it in ten minutes, other times it takes an hour, and then there are times that I can't. I can't force it. Nobody can. But there are probably a few members here that can do it this quickly and don't like to say because it sounds like bragging and that's really the last thing on their minds. It's really a matter of how quickly you can put yourself into a "sleep" like mode and still keep your awareness.

2.) I hardly ever perceive myself in a physical form while others seem to always do. Don't worry about this or make a decision as to whether it's real because you do or don't.

3.) I have no idea what the astral bridge is. I think I know what you are talking about but I'm not sure. As far as the 3D-blackness goes, for me it is just that. It's completely black with no sparkles or anything, yet I just instinctively no my surroundings. I only get there from a lucid dream though and my time there is always short. It's really cool though. I just can't seem to hang around.

4.) No. You can have an experience that is unlike any other we have had and it is still the real deal. Don't make any assumptions about it until you've done it with awareness. You have already projected every time you dream. You just haven't raised your awareness enough to wake up. I'm not referring to a false awakening either.

Sorry if this sounds cryptic, I'm not trying to be at all. It's just that this is so easy that we all imagine that it's not. It takes a ton of hard work to realize this. Some people do that ton of work in a week get "there" and others do it for a lifetime and still don't make that mental connection that they are already there.

Good luck. If you already know some techniques, I suggest that you stop reading about AP and just focus on the methods. It will happen because it already has.

Even though they didn't take a condescending attitude towards the whole thing, they got their digs in when they questioned Sen. Gravel about being compensated for his participation. As if the reporter isn't being paid to "report".

More than the articles, I enjoy the comments. Unfortunately, even when the people can remain anonymous, they still act like it's all a joke.

I think you already have a healthy understanding of where some of these fears are generated--Hollywood.

Try spending ten minutes in the dark uncovered, then make it fifteen and so on. Eventually you will just fall asleep. The mind will not stay in a constant state of fear. Use positive affirmations. THEY WORK!

I just can't get past it's size and supposed age. Any child that lived to be this old and this tiny would make news anywhere in the world no matter how long ago. That is, of course, unless it was part of some Amazonian tribe that didn't have contact with the modern world. But that tribe would still have an oral history.

No matter the case, alien or human deformity, this is unique ans somebody had to help raise this child.
#622
I was purposely being shortsighted because it suited my mood. Disclosure would upset the order of the world so profoundly that I can't really imagine the outcome. My hope is that it would be good.

First things first, govs and organized religion would be scrambling to make our new neighbors fit into their view, at least the view of how they want us to see it. You can't tell me that the Vatican doesn't know about alien life.
#623
All in all, Sirius was disappointing. I could not understand why some people felt that Micheal Greer had little to offer until I saw the movie. More than trying to prove the existence of Alien life, it tried to prove that Greer is a brave, brave man for keeping up the fight.

As much as I want for the truth to be told, I no longer think it's important to me. I already accept it as the truth so there is little to be gained other than an ego boost of saying, "See, I'm not crazy, in fact, you were."

Of course, there are others that know far more of the truth and could probably prove to me why it is important for the entire world to know, such as perpetual energy sources and such. But would an alien species really give us this tech since all we ever do is kill each other with the cool stuff?

IMO, true possession isn't possible even if you wanted it. Perhaps an entity can match your "vibration" or "frequency" enough to make it appear as if it is inside of you but this would only be an illusion. And once an entity is operating on the same "wave length" as your thoughts, you then do the rest of the work for them through your beliefs. In effect, if you accept that you are possessed, you accept that you are no longer in control. You are not your physical body so there is little to be gained from an entity possessing it.

With that said, I know the feeling of the mental duality that you are speaking of. Only my experience was in the NPR and I was the "possessor" or violator as I prefer to call it. It was not by choice but I found myself in the body of a soldier. I was panicked by the war as was he and my presence only complicated the matter. We sensed each other and he clearly felt violated by my presence. I wanted to leave, I really did, but every time I did, the soldier would lose consciousness and succumb to his wounds which were fatal. I believe that I was the only thing keeping him alive. I'm not sure what the lesson was to be had but I learned that we can prolong someone's misery by not letting go since that's all I really did was keep this soldier alive longer than he need to be.

Sorry about that detour.

As far as why your guide would want to possess you, I have no idea as to why that would be so. In my experience, they usually approach you in a manner that is most congruent with your current beliefs and mindset. They will evolve as your beliefs do. Some say this is proof that they are a construct of yourself but that isn't necessarily so. What use is a guide to someone if it's true form scares the bejezzus out of you every time you see it?

Anyways, understand that I am only telling you what I believe and it may not be the truth. Anybody that claims they know the truth is in a belief trap. The only thing I can say with certainty is that we get what we believe.

QuoteAre there not aspects of NPR which exist independently of your beliefs and  expectations?

I think the answer to that is an astounding yes. It's my belief that I encounter the thought forms of others all the time. IMO, there are certain aspects about the NPR that we can't change no matter what we believe. However, we can always change our belief or perceptions of it.

I'm starting to believe that there is only the NPR and it depends on our current form that interfaces us to perceive our current existence as physical. In other words, other entities can experience our reality but it isn't physical to them because they are not interfaced to interact here in that manner.
