I wouldn't rush into christianity simply because some atheist dogmas went out the window. They get too many followers that way.

You may meet some spirits you don't like - 'evil' ones - but I can say some of the worst spirits in the universe will appear very friendly and wise on the surface. It's like ordinary reality in that respect.

Monroe said he projected one time and was inadvertently pulled into the body of a deceased person. The body was dead and the spirit had left it, but apparently it wasn't completely dead - the brain kicked up again and pulled Monroe's spirit inside, as though mistaking him for the original spirit. As a result, Monroe was stuck in a motionless foreign body for a few moments.

There are cases where a foreign spirit seems to have been pulled in by accident - for example when a comatose patient suddenly wakes up and remembers nothing about their life, even though their brain is functioning as usual. Bodies have this way of sucking spirits into them. When you fall asleep, the body lets the spirit loose, but on waking, it pulls you in. This is perhaps what happens when a body is born.

Carlos Castaneda says there are non-physical life forms who can alter your soul's memory and trap you in a dimension. He speculates that this may be the reason spirits are locked in the physical - as the non-physical life forms put you here and exploit you as an energy source.

I guess it comes down to how well-defended your mind is. If you can avoid getting pulled into a body, and ward off malevolent spirits, you might be able to live free, although you would have to find a new energy source somewhere.

I may just have the answer. I dreamt about a 'warp gate' some years ago that was built on the other end of this galaxy. The humanoids designed it as a way of sending objects between star systems, avoiding the long shipping times of space flight. They put gates in a few star systems for testing. When two gates are activated, they 'close the distance' so you can throw an object in one gate and it will come out the other. This was useful because it circumvented the speed of light. An object could cross light-years in a very short time. It isn't traveling faster than light, but simply crossing a warped distance.

I remember it looked like the Hadron Collider.

I later met someone who described a similar 'warp gate' from a dream - it was exactly like the one I saw, and worked the same, but he got to talk to the humanoids personally and they gave a more detailed explanation. The gates used electromagnets attached to a series of rods, all arranged in circles that would spin around so the magnets would oppose each other and change polarity rapidly. (he had trouble describing it) The gates were then powered with extreme energy so the magnets would create a gravitational warp similar to that of a star or a black hole.

Apparently, activating one gate would make a warp with no effect, but activating two would cause the warps to connect and form a tunnel. If I'm correct, the gates could only shorten distances based on how much energy was used. For example you could turn 5 miles into 5 feet with moderate energy, but less energy would only shorten 5 miles to 50 feet, which is less useful. To close a distance between star systems required some extreme energy.

So I guess that's it. Extreme magnetism. I'm sure spirits use similar methods to teleport around.

One time I was asleep and found myself in a Krogers store, toward the back, pushing a cart around and looking for milk.  The store looked the same as always, but I don't usually shop there, and I certainly don't take a cart when I do.

I woke up and remembered that my dad had gone to the store.  By that time, he probably would be toward the back looking for things.  In this dream, I had become my dad for some reason.

I think it happens regularly.  When you're asleep, you lose your individuality and you think in conjunction with everyone else.  Normally you see mundane thoughts and sights, but if many people are concerned with something similar like an event on the news, you can focus on that event and see it from other people's perspectives, then remember it when you wake up.

I'm taking a wild guess here, but I wonder if your mom looked like that girl when she was young.  Maybe you could tell from an old picture or something

^ I was reading this and something caught my eye.  He saw a flashback to Earth's past, in which a race of humanoids became stranded on Earth, somewhere around India.  But his description of the aliens sounded very familiar to me... The aliens were almost weightless and had bright, starry, flexible skin; they were ageless and immune to disease.

Just like human spirits.  It's a perfect match.  I've spent years studying the human spirit's structure and behavior, and these aliens were exactly like us, minus the human body.

He implies that they were our ancestors, somehow.

He says they were wandering Earth's terrain at the end of his flashback, barely able to live in the environment.  I wonder if the aliens stumbled across early humans and learned to possess and control those humans, creating a symbiotic relationship and spawning the half-human/half-spirit hybrids we have today.

We're able to leave our bodies at night.  Doesn't it seem strange for a species to do that?  There's almost no way for a race to evolve the ability to leave itself.  It's counter-evolutionary.

Wouldn't that be strange, if we're these stranded aliens now living in human bodies, jumping from body to body as one dies and the other is born.  It would explain why we have these angelic inhuman forms that are millions of years ahead in evolution.

Here's how it works:  If the person gets away with killing, then similar killings will take place in a wider and wider area.  It's a pattern.  But you have to consider, was the killing justified?  Say, he killed someone for raping his daughter.  If you let it go, or congratulate him, more people will kill rapists and the pattern will flower out.

But the same goes in reverse.  Say he killed someone for being a minority, and you let it go, you'll see more and more minority deaths until the killers are done away with.  If you still do nothing, or if you believe it's not your problem, the killers will overwhelm society and become so numerous they're seen as everyday people, and you're screwed.  "Hey Jim, I just shot an immigrant!  Check it out!"  It happens all the time.

Everyone is a pattern taking place in the universe, and you decide which patterns will continue

I've heard both actually.  I'll bet the older spirits get to choose while younger ones are simply shoved into a random body.

What I find interesting is you were laying on your front.  Most people are on their back when it happens.

Was there anything odd about the way you were laying?  Was your neck or back bent?

Atheists will look at the evidence and say "this isn't conclusive" and then continue running naked in the streets.  I wouldn't bend over backward to disprove their belief system.

But it would be interesting if you got an electromagnetic field meter and left it on while you project.  Once you're a spirit, move toward the meter and see if it acts up.  It would yield some valuable data for ghost hunters

Well lookit this, I did a search for thunderstorms and interplanetary communication and sure enough, there's a PDF article about radio systems receiving signals from other planets http://www.teslasociety.com/mars.pdf - and the signals seemed a lot like lightning bursts, but with sequential patterns.  Interplanetary lightning bursts in sequences.

Just something I found.  I was puzzled, at first, at how lightning could be any sort of communication.  Does it communicate between sky bases and ground bases?  Is lightning the actual communication or just a result of it? Astral messages like the one you heard tend to say very significant things in such a matter-of-fact tone you could take them as nonsense.

But it hit me:  Lightning bolts can be seen from space - their radiation can be picked up by another planet with moderate radio instruments, and one bolt can create several flashes for a morse code.  If someone could set off bursts using the ionosphere, they'd have a fast easy network of interplanetary communication using stellar energy instead of reserve energy.

Interplanetary chat?  Interesting.  It's important to consider these words - or at least record them for someone else to consider, because tossing them aside can set us back hundreds of years.

The Hindus, for example, knew about the evolution process and the Big Bang thousands of years ago.  They didn't have it down to a science - they were merely told about it by outside sources.  Had Europeans considered these concepts instead of deeming them heresy, we could have skipped 3,000 years of biological and astronomic advancement.  Instead we have Stephen Hawking shouting "look-at-me-I-single-handedly-found-out-the-universe-asploded."

Aha, that's the concept archeologists are leaning toward.  One thing I didn't expect: Neanderthals were more populous?  Archeology painted them as a secluded sub-species.  Interesting.

I guess the bigger question on everyone's mind is, where did they come from?  It's normal for a species to separate and cross-breed back together, so why were neanderthals special enough for this voice to tell you about them?

Usually everything looks brighter - like you've got ultra night vision.  Our astral forms can see the low-level radiation our human forms don't

Sounds like a plan.  I've heard OBEs are easier to pull off in areas of high ambient electromagnetism, like when any sort of electricity box is nearby or a lot of cords.  Might be something to experiment with

It isn't any one place - the angels simply have bases here and there, where they capture a planet's spirits after death.  Sometimes these bases are in cumulous clouds or storm clouds, or sometimes out in Earth's orbit.  I've heard rumors that the Moon has a facility inside.  There are entire planets with heavenly environments

Typically they won't let you stay too long - some races will just kick you out for being a foreigner.  It sounds fun though

Nifty.  Yeah I was just giving the stupid version of the explanation so I wouldn't end up writing 10 pages.  The possibility of consciousness grids is intriguing but all the pages I found on the subject were pseudo-scientific.  They all pretended to describe the consciousness grid by alluding to frequencies and atomic structures and all sorts of double-talk, without actually explaining a thing.  I must say I smelled a hoax.  I did run across the Kryon pages, but somehow they didn't strike me as reliable.  "Greetings, dear ones, I AM Kryon of magnetic service!" And the six-paragraph prelude of cultish stuff on each page didn't help.

It wouldn't surprise me if memory data were arranged in grids, but despite my Google skills, I haven't found any info on it that wasn't junk.

Keep trying with that slavery thing.  Just remember what happens to people who do stuff like that

Sure, knock yourself out

Your soul remembers pretty much everything, but if my theory from the 'Dynamics of Memory' thread holds any ground, your memories are sometimes kept on frequencies you can't read in your normal state.

Try recalling the images when you're about to fall asleep.  If they were communicated to you by a spirit, they might be kept on a frequency you can't read when awake.

Just a precaution:  When something acts friendly, that doesn't mean it is, especially when it's an alien.  99% of aliens we run across would like to have humanity killed or enslaved.  Having tried and failed at this in the past, aliens now kindly convince individual humans to be more passive and defenseless.  Whenever they give you advice on living, it's a variation of "you fight too much"

Your second dream looks fine though.  Our memories exist on different frequencies and therefore produce different selves - it's hard to remember one frequency when you're at another frequency, so the two frequencies can act like different people until they join and interact. That's my guess on what happened in the dream
