Personalreality, may I ask why that is "bad news?"

I do agree that everyone is different and each person needs to test themselves.  I definitely can relate to how Mindfulness is feeling just starting out...it seems like there are so many methods, how do you know?  Ask your Higher Self and see what happens I guess  :-)

...it's bad news because Mindfulness didn't want to have to invest so much time.  naturally, bad is relative.  for me, the time wasn't so bad once I realized the benefit I was getting from the practice (especially in my daily life).

who cares.

it's good entertainment either way.

and honestly, i would rather be fully interested and inspired by "entertainment" like this than committing myself to some monastic lifestyle.

so...i've got some bad news....

you're dealing with altered states of awareness and there aren't any clearly defined levels.  consciousness is more like a gradient, a continuum of slightly different altered states.  there isn't one specific state that is necessarily better than others, though states on the "low" (low brainwave frequency) are better associated with astral projection.  states on the "high" (high brainwave frequency) end would be likened to waking consciousness or even a high alpha ecstatic state.  but, because of the infinite variability between different altered states, the only sure fire way to figure out which techniques work for you is to try them.

i feel like your best bet is to thoroughly immerse yourself in the theory of projection so that you can fully understand what it is you're trying to do and then make a plan for the method that is most in line with your particular "style" of awareness.

ahhh saint germain, alchemy.

not everyone.  just enough dead to more easily manage us.

Oh I'm not arrogant.  I'm just right.

:-D

haha.  i'm kidding.  i'm totally an arrogant prick.  i take it all back.

we may not be able to test it either.  we have a boundary that we can't see beyond because of the speed of light.  when you look out into the universe you're looking back in time because of the time it takes light to reach our telescopes.  at a certain point, there is a boundary where we can't see any further because the light hasn't had enough time to reach us and it never will because we are also moving.  so, for all intents and purposes, you could call this a multiverse that we can never experimentally test.  so all we have is the speculative....sorry....theoretical math that implies infinite expansion (and, if you're on board with Einstein, eternity).

I take it you have studied alternative forms of propulsion and energy stookie.

you sound disenchanted.

actually, you sound like a sleeper.  a CIA plant.  dissuade us from further investigation.

i'm on to you.

there is a lot of evidence for experimentation in high energy electrogravitics and such within the context of radar and possibly optical invisibility.  who knows about the rest.
#937
my apologizes.

naive, ignorant, superstitious, primitive, mentally disabled.

please, change out "stupid" with any one of these more politically correct synonyms.
#938
its more likely that the bell was in the same vein as the philadelphia experiment.  the biggest difference being that the Nazis had an idea of what was possible, the americans didn't.  but, whether it was intentional or accidental, they both came upon similar effects.  so time travel......no.  optical and radar invisibility, definitely.  teleportation, maybe.
#939
this is all such bullsh*t.

you're stupid if you really believe that you are invoking demons through a ouija board.  it's a piece of cardboard with letters painted on it.

seriously?

at best, it's no more than a divination system that pulls from your own subconscious.

We sell it at my work and it looks really similar to keys of solomon, but i don't recognize it.  it may be something different.  if no one figures it out this week, I'll look when i go to work.

How does one gather PUL?

Seems a bit contrived to me.

Have you discovered anything else that people call this "energy" that myself and others might be more familiar with?  I imagine it's something I already do but I just call it "charging up my heart chakra".  Any time that I'm performing a ritual, a cleansing, a charging, etc., I begin by charging my heart chakra by recalling emotional memories that are felt in the heart (i wouldn't try to define said emotions.  it's not anything people might call "negative", but i wouldn't call it love or joy either.  i think the best word for it is grace, in a theological sense - undeserved mercy) and then I transfer that energy buildup to the object/tool that i'm working with through my right arm/hand.

have you considered masking your failures as a human being with drugs?  It really does the trick.

lol.

seriously though.  i'm sure that you are sufficiently awesome.

you sir need some inspiration.  find what inspires you and flood yourself with it.

always makes me feel better and more confident.

Thanks for the references

google some numerology.  it will give you an idea of some of the "energies" and characteristics associated with these kinds of numbers.  this could imply an "atmosphere" for that moment in time that drew you to notice the time.  maybe you see 1:11 (11 being a master number and 1 being a number for leadership and independence) and it happens at a time when those are the qualities in yourself that you need to focus on or something.  You can pretty much turn anything into divination if you try hard enough.  It's all about seeing the connections around you and acting in unison with them.

I'm sure if this goes on long enough Hitler will make an appearance too.  ;)

Well, now that you mention it....

I would say that the bad spelling is not because you forfeited high school, but rather because you smoke weed. :-P

That's what spell check is for.

Hasn't ever disrupted my spelling ability.  I actually think that I'm more articulate and better at spelling when I'm high.  But what I think and the reality of the situation may be two very different things.  lol.

I stopped giving AP tips a looong time ago

I don't necessarily disagree with that decision either.  But sometimes I just feel compelled to try to help.

Ultimately though, I think experience is the only true teacher.

When I was more actively trying to project (which lasted for a period of a few months after my first successful exit until I had some health complications that prevented me from practicing for a while), I could pretty much achieve conscious exit daily.  For a while I could do it anytime I tried with little to no difficulty.  Since then I have had difficulty getting back to that point, but I've been out of practice for the better part of a year now.

It is quite easy once you've learned to do it, but that first time can be tricky.  For me it feels like it's almost an accident at the moment of exit.  My typical procedure has me laying down in bed (usually in the afternoon, around 2pm - 4pm was my most successful time) and going through some trance induction techniques (usually inducing a sensation of falling).  I would spend the next 45-60minutes narrowing my focus to a singular focus (though in that state it felt like 15-20 minutes at the most).  At some point I would drift nearly to sleep (in fact, I used to think of my practice as "pretending to go to sleep" because you need to be that deep).  Then, almost out of nowhere, my consciousness would start to flicker rapidly between awake and asleep.  I don't know how long this lasted or how many times my consciousness flickered because it's a very fuzzy and confusing state of mind.  But, eventually, I would pop back to conscious awareness and feel my body buzzing (or vibrating).  At this point I would use my intention/will to raise myself upwards.  It is hard to explain, but when you experience it you'll know what I mean.  You kind of just use your mind to force your body up in the air.  After a few seconds, when I felt that I was sufficiently separated, I would perform an exit technique like rolling out or doing a backwards somersault (my favorite and more successful).

I think the key through this part is to make sure that you maintain a singular focus of mind.  This can be hard, especially the first couple times, because this experience is exciting and frightening.  But with repeated trials you'll get it.

lol, nothing.

we got to this point in a round about way.

I'm gonna say that you ARE pathetic, but not because of this.  You're pathetic because humans are pathetic.

This doesn't make you pathetic, it makes you human (which does indeed make you pathetic, lol).

I know it's discouraging but it's hard to resist.  There is the possibility of a biological reaction that you can't avoid.  The idea is that when you're returning from a dream reality, you're coming back from a place that is unfamiliar to your physical body/brain.  So, upon return, when you're still "between worlds" so to say, your physical body perceives this as a threat and reacts by stimulating your sympathetic nervous system (ie fight or flight) in preparation for the impending danger.  Within moments your body realizes that there is no danger, but it's too late, the damage is done.  By activating your sympathetic nervous system, your body goes into reaction mode and floods itself with all those awesome chemicals (like adrenaline) that prepare you to handle the perceived danger.  This effectively ruins whatever trance state you had.  The chemicals in your body during trance are almost at the opposite end of the spectrum from the chemicals released during a threatening situation.

So it's not really your fault.  It's a natural reaction to an unfamiliar situation.  HOWEVER!  The more you practice, the more your body becomes habituated to the experience and learns that you aren't in any danger when you're projecting.  It may take a few tries, but eventually your body gets the hint and stops reacting like that when you try to project.  So it isn't even about a conscious, rational fear.  It's these unconscious, instinctual fears that everyone has that may be interrupting your practice.  Even though humans are pathetic (in a cultural sense), the human body is still amazing and it can help you if you teach it what to do.  One of the things that I did was repeat affirmations multiple times a day to the effect of, "I am always safe in my projections" or "I am free of fear when I project".  I also repeat these types of affirmations upon waking in a scenario like the one you described.  It helps to reassure your body that it's ok and nothing will hurt it.

Let me say this.  Exit-techniques are done after the initial separation.

The initial separation seems to occur naturally at a certain point in the exercise and can be facilitated with your mind by "willing" or "intending" for your consciousness to rise above your body.  It's kind of like a willful mental push or pull upwards.  You may even feel a tingle or slight buzz as this part happens (and it often comes right after a short period of flickering consciousness in which you feel like you're going from waking to sleeping and back rapidly over the course of a few seconds).

Once that part has happened, THEN you use exit techniques such as rolling out or sitting up or something.

Or you can do what Xanth crams down all of our throats and try phasing.  Phasing is a visually based technique that essentially allows you to move fully into a meditative visualization which then transforms into the OOB environment.  It's certainly a much less "shocking" separation because there is no real separation to speak of.  One moment you're here, the next moment you're there.
