Ha, Cannibalex, Southbend is where I went to university!

Did you/do you live there, or were you in school as well?

I'm from fleet (hampshire) and i now live in farnham (surrey) as i'm studying design here.  just had reason to visit southend a few times! (apart from that photo, it wasn't massively worth the journey) :P

May i enquire why, of all people to try and meet, would it be osama bin laden?

lol.

who cares.

people fuss over the most trivial things.

in the grand scheme of your life you really find the investigation of an imaginary figure's sexuality to be important?

come on.

i hear santa clause is a transvestite.

lol.

I think jesus did exist, but what most people don't realise about the bible is that it is a story.  Each 'miracle' has come from word of mouth stories passed on over many years.  The new testament was written between 100 and 300 years after christ died.  Is it so unbelievable that in three centuries there wouldn't be mistranslations.   This also helps as there is a believable story behind eveyr 'miracle'  even in the old testament.  For example moses splitting the red sea to free the slaves from the egyptian army.  The slaves (it goes without saying) had nothing, and thusforth were lightweight, where as the army are on horseback wearing armour.  The army thusforth sink into the sand, and the slaves can walk relatively easily across the marshes.  The book of Exodus dates back (estimate) to 1441BC so is it so hard to believe that this story has been mistranslated over 3462 years?  (This is just an example from the top of my head, obviously not involving jesus)

So i think saying jesus was imaginary is an outlandish statement, he was very real and people of the time (until this day) consider him the son of god, which is even more outlandish, I think he was just born to a, frankly, slutty mother who couldnt admit to joseph that she clearly slept around.

I've gone off on a bit of a tangent here, but to conclude;  (In my perception)  Jesus was real, Just misguided.  and to bring it back to the real topic, i don't think it matters at all if he was gay.  The dogmatic religious institutions around the world arn't going to open their mind to the concept.

Hallo CANNIBALEX and welcome (back).
I remember you. Good to see that you've returned. Are you still interested in OBEs and astral projection or have you taken an extended break?

Regards  8-)
Grey

Well i must have joined the first time round when i was 14, so the 14-19 gap is quite a busy little time.  always had an interest in OBEs but i've had very little time to practise, and it's only in the last week i've decided to get back into meditation and the likes

these aren't as exciting, but they are pictures i took for a texture study that i used later in some faux painting.

I put together a texture study in the form of a manually bound book earlier in the year, it's good fun shooting textures.

Been a member here since 2005 or something coming and going with the wind,  but i've matured a lot and aim to post more often and pick up where i left off on my own personal journey.

anyway, a little bit about me;
name is al, 19, full time art student in farnham UK
part time work in a pet shop
i play (and dabble in) lots of instruments
i brew ale,
photography/drawing, which you can check out at creativedaily.wordpress.com, which is my personal although it has been lacking recently as i've been busy at university.
most importantly, i'm a friend

feel free to ask me anything else,

i would have thought someone who is so "very aware of his high capacity of thinking and analysing" would have a better grasp of spelling, grammar and logical debate.

that aside, the community is here to develop themselves and help each other, not to prove a thing.

This is an incredibly old thread i started a long time, but since then I'd had no more experiences until I had a short lucid dream brought on by the exact same circumstance of being away from home and having to get home on a deadline time to fulfill my responsibilities for that day.  Again i was just home all of a sudden with no recollection of the journey and realized it was a dream and became lucid.

About projection for almost 3 years, and my biggest barrier is that i fall asleep first.

Any tips to stay awake?

Okay, to start off, I have not been on these forums for a long time.  I've been interested in Astral Projection and OBEs for a long time, and i find it facinating, although never coming close to achieing it.

But last night, after being at a gig with aload of mates, i managed to find my way to my girlfriends house, so i slept there. I was kind of fretting about how i was going to get home today so it was on my mind a fair bit.

Then i drifted off, and i was at home, in my dream, and i thought "Hang on, how did i get here?" And from that moment i realised i was dreaming.  For some reason my chest felt tighter and warmer than a normal dreams, but like confortable.  It was like i was wearing a nice warm jacket.  So i'd reached a lucid dream, which is a great success as it is.  I remember reading in alot of places that if you are in a Lucid state, then just by wishing to Project will make you leave your body.  So i said to myself "I want to leave my body" but then just thought "I doubt that will work", then I managed to fly, except i remember finding it difficult to control, and i just kept getting higher, so i stopped and came back down.   I also remember reading that if you have a flyng dream, it is highly possible to be an Out of body experience.

Anyway, i landed and decided to fight some zombies.  (I play alot of video games)

Then i woke up, grinning.

I'll be happy if i can learn to control my dreams. then i can do anything

I good into AP and OBE about two and a half years ago.. Gave it a try, then school work started to get in the way.  I want to retry doing it but i cant even remember most my dreams, let alone realise when i am dreaming.

Where shall i start?

1) your physical body will not alter.

2) i seem to remember reading, that you have more than one subtle bodies.  i can't find for sure, but im fairly certain you have more than one subtle body.

3) i don't understand the question

i don't think it's coming back

so i havent attempted to project in a long time.

i was at my desk, and like slumped over [totally the wrong possition to attempt, but i couldent be bothered to move]

i was listning to some long beep sound, from a website i was refered to off this forum.

i began to get extremly calm

i could feel energy moving up and down my whole body, my hands began to feel swollen and bigger than usual (?)

my hands began to tingle, like a non-painfull pins and needles.

i couldnt move my hands, kind of like sleep paralysis,

but like
mentaly, i couldent move them
if i really tried hard, i would have been able to

it was strange

after that, i began imaginly scenes or scenarios, and moments later i forgot them, and i cannot remember them one bit!

i seem to remember hearing talking behind me (no one was behind me)
i remember my left leg twitching every so often, i had a surge of energy on my neck just under my chin
the energy flow went on,

i also remember feeling like i was poked on my right cheek and told to project

no matter what, i just couldent leave my body, it seemed impossible, not fear or anything.

somehow it all just ended and i open my eyes.

i was replenished - super calm, went down stairs to ask what was for dinner, not realising i had a red mark down the right cheek from where my head was on my arm.

any help on leaving my body?
