I don't mean to sound disrespectful, but why are there so many people (mostly teenagers) trying to convince themselves that energetic development is just like DBZ? I've been practicing energy work and martial arts for years, and what I've seen on DBZ seems like a ridiculous exaggeration (but entertaining nontheless [:)]). Why all the emphasis on "ki balls" and developing new "techniques". This is obviously a synthetic energy development system created by teenagers trying to emulate Goku. Don't you guys get discouraged by the lack of results? I mean, how many of you actually have shot a fireball or levitated? What's wrong with the traditional systems that emphasize internal balance and spiritual development, as opposed to the egoic pursuit of "powers".

I have not been keeping up with the forums, so I apologize in advance if these questions have already been dealt with in previous threads.

I am curious about a few things. It seems as though the "grey aliens" that are seen in the typical abduction scenario have a lot in common with negs. Many abduction accounts involve the abductee being paralyzed and/or taken out of body. Also, one of my favourite authors, Stuart Wilde, claims that they are transdimesionals and that he can see them with clairvoyance. It is interesting to note that he has had to self publish all his new material after mentioning this piece of information in his book "The Sixth Sense". If one is to accept that they are astral entities capable of manifesting in the physical, then does this also mean that the same countermeasures (garlic, running water, LBRP) will be effective against such beings? I've been having distubing dreams about such things for the past five or six years. It would be helpful if anyone could provide me with input/advice.

Thanks,
Malcolm

Does connecting the tongue to the palette really make that big of a difference? I learned NEW and the full body circuit without connecting my tongue, and it worked just fine. I have come across information in books, though, that suggests that the connection of the tongue to the palette is paramount. There was even a diagram showing the difference in energy between a tongue-connecting practitioner, and an unconnected practitioner. I think this is a bit of an exaggeration though. I recently tried connecting my tongue during the FBC, and, aside from working the energetic structures in my tongue, it didn't seem to make that big of a difference. Any thoughts?

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Auric Sight in Mirror
February 21, 2002, 17:05:46
I have a question:

Can someone with auric sight see their own aura in a mirror?

I am asking this because I have come across exercises that instruct the viewer to sit in front of a mirror. Does this really work? I've tried this several times over the years with minimal (no) results. I read in Robert's manual that the aura does not have the same properties as light, and thus cannot be reflected (I think this is what he said). Does anyone care to expand on this?

Thanks,
Malcolm

Whenever I consistently practice energy work and OBE training, I usually have about two or three spontaneous OBEs every month. They are usually quite short and I never really get a chance to do anything. They are almost all the same - I will suddenly become conscious in my room or just in front of my house. I immediately know that I am having a non-physical experience. I will then get excited and one of two things will happen: 1.) I'll be pulled in a certain direction and wake up immediately. 2.) Reality will dissolve and I will wake up. At the time, I am convinced that it is a geniune OBE. But afterwards, I usually find some problem with the experience that leads me to believe that perhaps it was just a Lucid Dream. My last OBE on Feb.01/2002 is a perfect example. It's a bit different than the other LD/OBEs in that I maintained full control over my mind and managed to prolong the experience. I'm still not sure, though, if it was an OBE or a Lucid Dream.

***
Morning of Feb.01/2002, before waking. Estimated time: 2 minutes.

I became fully conscious and aware while on the roof of a house across the street. I was sure that this was an OBE and I decided to clear my mind. I maintained this "blank slate" mind-state for the entire OBE (2 minutes). I concentrated on my surroundings to absorb every minute detail. I noticed, at this point, that my vision was slightly blurry. It was also sunny out, like a pleasant summer day. I hopped off the roof and fell slowly to the ground. When I landed, there was no impact. I started moving up the street at running speed. I noticed that all the houses were in their proper places. I then turned down an alley. In real life, this alley is a dead end, but in this experience it led to a rural location of some sort with houses placed very far apart. The grass was green and I remember feeling wind (I think). I stopped moving and tried jumping onto the roof of one of the houses. I jumped up about 3 feet and was pulled back to the ground, landing with zero impact. This was a little disappointing. I decided to put some real effort into the jump, but I only managed to get about 6 feet off the ground. I felt very clumsy. I woke up soon after and recorded the experience.
***

I was positive at the time that this was a real OBE, but I soon found some flaws in the experience. As I stepped outside a little while later, I noticed that the ground was completely covered in snow. So why was there no snow in the OBE? I'm thinking that it may have been a Lucid Dream instead. There are elements of LD and OBE in this experience and it's very hard for me to tell the difference between the two. So, here's my question to everyone: Do you think it was an OBE, or a Lucid Dream, and why?

Thanks,
Malcolm

This may sound like a silly question, but what exactly is spiritual development? I'm guessing it's related to meditation, since they are both topics of this forum. Is it something that can be measured in any way? I'm assuming it's not merely the development of psychic/occult abilities. I'll also assume that there is a difference between religion and spirituality. Is the goal of spirituality to become a better person, to unite with the God-Force, or what? Wait a minute, is spiritual development the same as spirituality? Perhaps I'm using the wrong terms. Anyway, I'd like to hear anyone's opinion on this matter.

Hi. I've been curious about something for a very long time. Is it possible to visit places around the world (while OOB) that are off limits to the physical body? And, more importantly, how accuarate is the environment that is perceived by projected double? For example, take that room behind the ganterbrink (sp?) shaft in the great pyramid. If one were to go up the shaft and pass through the "door", would they really see what is in the room on the other side? Is it possible to explore the mysterious sites of the earth (and solar system) without one's belief system getting in the way? I realize that it is perhaps unwise to discuss such things on a public forum. I will therefore only ask if it is possible, without asking for the results of anyone's experiments/travels.

Thanks,
Malcolm

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Real-Time Sight

In the first section of Astral Dynamics, Robert says something about real-time sight, and how it is useful to develop this ability. I've read AD twice (it's my bible ), and I have not found any specific exercises that deal with this ability. Does it develop naturally with the regular practice of trance meditation and chakra work, or is there a specific exercise that I need to put into practice? I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

I have some questions concerning the core image removal process. I have preformed the removal with success on one occasion. I visualized the entire thing from start to finish. I had to actually create the image in my minds eye. I also created the ugly root-like structures and faces on the other side of the image. Are these images supposed to appear spontaneously in the mind's eye, or are they deliberately created by the remover through visualization? Also, how much time should the remover spend on the procedure? I spent two hours, just to be safe. Is this overkill? Can it be done in 10-15 minutes?

Thanks,

Hi. My name's Malcolm. I'm 20/M, living in Canada. I've been practicing NEW for 2+ years. It has greatly improved the quality of my life, and I am eternally grateful to Robert Bruce for providing me with exercises that work! I've always been curious as to whether or not it is possible to deliberately move energy outside the confines of the Physical/Etheric body. Qi Gong masters claim to do this when they heal a patient. I have also heard stories from semi-reliable sources about Qi Gong practitioners sending bad energy at each other, sort of like an energetic fight or attack. I was told that there are "Masters" out there who will do this to you if you practice energy work in public. I'm not overly concerned with this, since I do all my energy work in private.

Here are my questions:

1.) Can energy be deliberately moved outside the confines of the Physical/Etheric body? (and how is this accomplished?)

2.) What are the possible positive applications of this practice?

3.) Would someone be "attacked" by an energetic bully for practicing NEW in public?

Thanks,
Malcolm

I spent about two weeks on tedious limb work before moving on to the two part circuit. I had no major blockages and I felt very comfortable with this transition.

Hi,

It was not really my intention to limit anyone's beliefs of what is and is not possible. I personally believe in possibility of levitation, telekinesis, etc. and I also intend to experience these things at some point in my life. The problem with this DBZ system is that it is based on what you WANT to be real, not on what has actually been experienced personally. I doubt that any of you have directly experienced, or know someone who has experienced, DBZ-like phenomena. Personal experience is everything. Trying to shape reality around a belief system is self-deception, and it will prevent you from understanding things as they really are. I'm not saying that you shouldn't try to develop these abilities, but at what point will you stop (assuming no results are achieved) to move on to something more rewarding.

Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / videos
February 18, 2003, 13:25:44
I think it's great that auraseer has uploaded the videos, since it's more than most people are willing to do. I didn't see any "ki" in his videos, but I wouldn't have expected to, since cameras are not clairvoyant. Maybe he really is doing a "ki ball", in which case the video is real regardless of what appears on camera. I highly doubt the "ki dash" has anything to do with ki and the "powering up" video is really just the light above him. Why do you think his shoulders are lit up while chest is dark? This is because his chest is covered by the shadow from his head (an indicator of a light directly above him). Also, the ki dash video is shot in the same room (same chair, dresser, etc.) and there is a shadow directly below him (another indicator of a light directly above him). Also, poor digital video quality creates distortions which are not ki. Proof shouldn't come through videos - it should come through personal experience.

I just downloaded a clip of david blaine levitating. I doubt it's real, since he asks the viewers/camera not to move while he's doing the trick. If he really could levitate, then the angle of viewing would not matter. If levitation is possible (and I believe it is) it would require a very advanced level of mental/energetic development. Otherwise, we would all be able to experience it.

I once saw a yogic flying demonstation on television several years ago. It involved several people "bouncing" in a full lotus position. They pushed their knees against the floor to jump as high as they could while retain the lotus position. Some made it a few feet off the ground, but none of them defied the laws of physics.

I think Robert said that he has levitated before in an earlier post?

If I had the facilities, I would provide you with footage, but for some reason I don't think you would be interested in watching me lie on a matress for 45 minutes doing the full body circuit, or sitting in a chair for 30 minutes circulating the microcosmic orbit. There is nothing visually spectacular about this type of training. In fact, it can be repetitive and even boring at times, since you are repeating the same energetic movement/cycle over and over.

You are probably looking for a video of someone flying or breaking boards with their mind. You will not find anything like that. Anyone who shows you pictures/videos like this just wants attention, as it's much easier to doctor photos and lie about abilities than it is to actually develop them.

Hi. I'd like to start by making three points in Stuart's defense:

1.) The copper wire defense system that he suggested is supposed to be hooked up to a low powered battery, which would not be dangerous. This reminds me of Robert's running water perimeter defense.

2.) The UV light bulb that he suggests is a dark purple light known as "Black Lite". I have one in my posession, but I rarely use it. They will light up white, and other neon colours, and can also be used to see invisible security features on paper money. My point here is that they are not dangerous.

3.) Keep in mind that I didn't want to type up the whole chapter, and thus had to be selective. It is perhaps for this reason that the text does not appear to be edited properly.

Now, the quotes that I posted above suggest that UFOs and their related entities do not necessarily come from advanced civilizations on other planets, but rather other (astral) realities. There is a lot of UFO literature and abduction/contact reports to back this up if one knows how to interpret them. I believe that the problem lies in the "scientifically-minded" UFO researchers (no disrespect intended) who are unable to accept the possibility of higher levels of existence. Jacques Vallee is one of the few who is willing to accept such possibilities. (Dr. Jacques Vallee's books, Messengers of Deception and Passport to Magonia are excellent. Messengers details the history of UFO related cults such as Urantia and explains the manipulative nature of UFO contacts. Passport suggests the link between modern UFOs and fairy lore.) Anyway, this is just what I believe, and I'm not interested in getting into a debate. I am, though, interested in finding out two things:

1.) Has anyone here had experience with the Greys through clairvoyance or while OOB?

2.) If these beings are in fact non-physical entities, as has been suggested, then would running water, garlic, LBRP, etc. work effectively as countermeasures?

Thanks,
Malcolm

Mobius,

"The Sixth Sense" was published in 2000. To my knowledge, he has only written two books since then, both of which he has had to sell online as e-books from his web site (www.stuartwilde.com). According to a radio interview (archived at www.newsforthesoul.com/stu-1.htm), he couldn't find anyone who was willing to publish his new "weird" stuff. This is not surprising though...

I'll post a few quotes from the sixth sense. Maybe he's onto something, or maybe he's lost it. You decide.

p.75
"In passing, I'd like to say that I don't think UFOs are necessarily from other parts of the universe. From my experience, I feel that they are interdimesional in nature. The Grays certainly have an etheric indentity, as they can come through walls. The famous French researcher Jacques Vallee (Close Encounters of the Third Kind was based on his life) suggested that the whole UFO phenomenon is a control mechanism. He felt that the UFO entities are an inner phenomenon - that is, beings from another dimension wanting to establish a power over us in order to lead us to certain conclusions. There are loads of abductees, channelers, and so forth who have stated as fact that the Grays and various UFO entities manipulated human DNA in the past to create modern man.... Meanwhile, a lot of writers have bought the story, and the idea has entered modern UFO mythology...."

"I think it is more likely that the UFOs are interdimensional, toward the demonic end of the spiritual ladder, and that they fly about to kid us that they have a special power and technology. It's their way of lording over us...."

p.76
The symbology of the UFO phenomenon is very important at this time, and it's not an illusion. The UFO entities are definitely here. I've seen two UFOs up close, and I've seen Grays on a number of occasions, and I absolutely don't buy that they are Space Brothers helping us along.... What I think is fascinating is that abductions, and the UFOs' attempted control trip over us, so closely reflects our modern societies....

"...The other thing that is confusing is that the UFOs seem to have a solid reality, a semi-solid reality (the plasma state), and a non-solid etheric reality.... It's interesting that we don't have even one decent on-the-ground UFO photo.... Perhaps flying saucers have no solid reality - only a plasma or semi-solid identity."

p.77
"One thing is for sure: If the UFOs were extraterrestrials here to conquer us, they would have done it by now.... So one can deduce several things from events so far: They don't want to conquer us, or, more likely, they can't. It's our minds or our bodies or our energy they want to control, not the real estate. Or, whatever it is they want from us they must be getting, for they wouldn't keep reappearing if they constantly failed to get whatever it is they're after."

"....On one occasion, a silvery willy, 30 feet wide, hovered for several minutes over my house.... I decided to go for the camera, and as soon as I had that thought, it began to move ever so slowly toward the southwest. In less than a minute it was gone. I got the impression that it knew what my intentions were."

"....It wasn't that long before the Grays showed up in my life. (So if you are fascinated by the phenomenon, be ready for them to show up eventually.).... The first experience occured one night when I was lying on the bed, wide awake, reading. I became aware of an orb of energy hovering near my knee. It was definitely etheric, not solid...."

"After that, the Grays showed up on a regular basis. Two once walked in the front door. I noticed them immediatly, and I think that spooked them because they turned and left. On one occasion, a Gray was standing close to my bed, just watching me; I flipped my concentration through its eye, trying to etherically penetrate it. I was shocked to discover that there was nothing in there - blank, no emotion, no feelings, nothing, just empty space."

"I've been out into the astral planes a lot over the years, and I've seen ghosts, dead spirits, and all manner of weird entities, but the Grays... are the most spooky. The astral world is one of phantasmagoric ghouls, and so on, but the astral, when you get used to it, has a very unreal quality about it. The Grays are seriously real. Over the years, I've also encountered angelic spirits, unconditional love, and wonderful inspiration. And I can't help thinking that if the UFOs and Grays are a good thing, they would feel good. There's no point contradicting one's feelings. That is always a recipe for disaster."

p.78
"...Here is what I think I've found out. I use the word think, as in their now-you-see-it, now-you-don't world, it is very hard to be catagorical. I'm almost sure that Vallee was also right when he suggested that the fairy kingdoms and that Grays'/UFOs' world are part of the same dimension or phenomenon. The Grays have an etheric identity - if they have a solid identity, I have never seen it.... [UFOs] are not necessarily flying metallic craft, but 'flying beings' like, say, a complex air-spirit that can shape-shift itself and change to look like a ball or a craft...."

"...I think most abduction are etheric in nature. I know abductees report returning to bed to find grass is their sheets or their nightdress is on the wrong way around. This would suggest a physical abduction, not necessarily an etheric out-of-body one. However, maybe the Grays want us to be confused. There is the famous case of a middle-aged Australian woman from Victoria who was abducted from her car in the presence of two UFO researchers who were not abducted. She never left the driver's seat. So that instance was etheric in nature."

p.79
"...The Grays have an agenda that seems demonic to me, but it may not be demonic to them - much like a scientist who has no personal animosity toward the mice he's conducting experiments on...."

"...However, my feeling is that if the UFOs are farming anything, it is energy they are collecting - human etheric energy. How they tap a human's etheric via abduction is beyond me..."

p.80
"...I'm still not 100 percent certain if the Grays operate only in the etheric or if they can shift between the nonphysical and our physical reality. I have only had one incident that got me wondering. I was in Bath, England, resting in a hotel after a long day at a recording studio. I couldn't sleep; I was still a bit wired from the day's work. Then I felt the energy of the room change. (When the Grays show up, a room's ambience gets thicker - it takes on a milky quality. I have never seen it as milky, it just feels that way.) A being was standing motionless between the bed and the door. The room was quite brightly lit, and since you lose sight of the etheric under bright lights, I couldn't see the being, but I could feel it. Anyway the room had definitely changed, which is a telltale sign. I was tired and a bit irritable. So I screamed at it "F--- off, you little piece of sh--, or I'm going to get out of bed and punch yer effin' light out!" Not very galactically embracing, I must say, but I wasn't in a very caring, sharing mood at the time."

p.81
"The energy of the room instantly changed as the entity backed off, and all was clear. However, I woke up in the morning with two snakelike pinpricks on my arm. They were bleeding ever so slightly. The odd thing was that the blood on the pinpricks wouldn't coagulate. There were two tiny red dots on my arm for several days. So, "F--- off you little creep" perhaps only works to a certain extent..."
*****

He goes on to describe the different ways in which they can mess up one's etheric body, aswell as the chakra system. He then suggests countermeasures such as ultra-violet light, and electrically charged copper wire wrapped around a bed. He says though, that the most effective defense against the Grays is to feel positive emotions such as unconditional love and to project those emotions to them.

I hope this was interesting.

Ben:
"When I'm laying down, waiting for sleep, I get to that 3-steps-away-from-sleep point and I kind of focus my vision with my eyes closed, and try make it like I'm looking at something a few feet away past my eyelids. This normally has me seeing my room, but from a different angle then where my head is at (my head is turned right, and I see the left side of my room). Also, this turns into me seeing random clairvoyant images eventually. It's pretty cool. Good luck. Ben"

I've been playing around with this before falling asleep. Is there any reason why a large eye appears in my mind's eye?

Thanks,
Malcolm

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Auric Sight in Mirror

I, too, can see what I once thought was the etheric aura (in mirrors, and reality). I now believe this to be an afterimage, mainly because it is only visible on one side of my outline at a time. Allow me to explain. I will stare at myself in the mirror while keeping my eyes defocused. In a minute or two, my eyes will have drifted ever so slightly to the left or the right. The afterimage of my outline will travel with my eyes and give the impression of a hazy greyish white "aura" coming out of one side of my body. I can also cover my eyes and look away and I will see the same "aura" as an afterimage in my mind's eyes (if I concentrate, that is). So here's my question for you Mark: Does the etheric aura that you are seeing expand from your entire outline, or only one side of it?

Thanks,
Malcolm

Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Chakra Work
February 23, 2002, 13:52:45
Here's how I stimulate my chakras:

1.) I will take a giant brush (imaginary) and place each awareness hand on either side of it. The awareness hands will be open and straight, parallel to each other. I will place the tip of the brush against the chakra. I will move my left hand up and my right hand down. This will cause the brush to spin clockwise. When the handle reaches the base of my left hand and the tip of my right hand, I will reverse the direction. This is hard to explain. 2.) I will also take the index and middle fingers of each [awareness] hand and dig them into the chakra. I will imagine that the chakra is elastic, like a rubber band. I will pull both hands apart horizontally, feeling the elasticity pulling my fingers back together. I will then pull my hands apart vertically, feeling the same elastic force. I will continue alternating until the chakra is fully stimulated. This works very well for me, and it's the most effective way of stimulating the chakras that I have experimented with. I realize, though, that this may be subjective and I don't expect this to work for everyone else.

I use the following exercise to move energy up through the chakras:

I like to imagine the chakras as small balloons (about four inches in diameter) connected to each other. When I move energy from the base to the navel, I will imagine them both as airtight rubber sacks connected by a rubber tube. The base chakra (balloon) will be filled with energy, which I will imagine as either air, or a thicker substance. The navel chakra (balloon) will be completely empty. I will take one awareness hand and place it around the base chakra, and I'll grip the navel with my other awareness hand. I'll start to squeeze the base while releasing the navel. I'll usually feel a very strong flow of energy from one to the other. I will then proceed to the navel and solar plexus, then to the solar plexus and heart, etc. until I have reached the crown. I will then repeat this process over and over again. It works very well for me when my chakras have already been stimulated.

I hope this helps.

Hi Two Bears!

Thanks for the reply.

"It isn't wise; because what you send out can also be returned. In "Recovering The Ancient Magic" Max Freedom Long doccuments an Evil Kahuna 'ano'ano that was killing a young boy via the death prayer, and another Kahuna returned the curse and killing the evil kahuna."

This sounds a lot more like ritual magic than energy work.

"I have read some of the Mantak Chia material; and do NOT recommend it."

Would you mind sharing your reasons?

Thanks,
Malcolm

Thank you Alex. The information is much appreciated!

Thanks Donni. The NEW book sure sounds great. If it's anywhere near as good as the online tutorial, or AD, then we're all in for a treat! Another question:

3.) Will the NEW book touch on Kundalini at all, or will that be left out in favour of an all Kundalini book?

Thanks again,

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Auric Vision

I did the same thing as you a few years ago and it became very easy for me to see afterimages (auras of colour). It is interesting to note, though, that I didn't see any astral auras until I was well into NEW development. Even then, I've only actually seen one astral aura to date. I saw it around another person about ten feet away while I was using the etheric wrap technique on my left thumb (to heal a blood blister). For what it's worth, I'd suggest trying NEW while practicing aura viewing exercises. It is very easy to do both at the same time, as neither one really requires that much concentration.

Hi Tia,

It truly is unfortunate that most people equate metaphysical development with insanity. I feel extremely lucky in that I have a small group of friends who are all tolerant of my weirdness. I once had a girlfriend though (big mistake) who didn't like my interest in paranormal subjects. I think she felt deceived because she originally thought that I was a "normal guy", but I later turned out to be a "weirdo" . Glad I got out of that one!

"I'm starting to feel like my interest in these things is becoming a dirty secret"

I think this is one of the reasons why practitioners assemble into groups/covens - to provide moral support and to reinforce each others' beliefs, interests, and discipline. I believe that metaphysical stuff is the best stuff, and it's strange that the majority of the earth's population thinks the opposite. Strange, but not surprising. Aren't we all conditioned from birth to be as "normal" as possible so that we'll fit into the popular reductionist paradigm of modern society?

Take Care,
Malcolm
