Oi oi!
how ya's doing. ive got a little niggle that needs ironing out for me.
basically when i get to the vibe stage during ap i sit up during the vibes and get out of my body but i have masses of doubt of whether im actually getting up and not ap'ing so im a little scared to jump out my window...like before i came out of body looked around to see myself and low behold i wasnt there...Reality check!!!
however thats not my main concern, during my aps vision is extremely blurry almost like underwater but this feels like normality during the ap and also my experiences are very very short :(
i read somewhere that leaving the body 'during' the vibe state uses alot of energy and that waiting for the vibes to pass before splitting conserves energy thus allowing more time to travel. i just need some clarification on this from an experienced aper...if its true then ill wait for the vibes to pass but i dont want to do it incase it messes up something that already or partly works for me during the vibes.
all help appreciated
kind regards folks

Howdy folks, i can project almost every time i attempt within certain hours of the day but i have a few questions about it. As oppose to the vibrational state prior to projection, i get exploding head syndrome, ull find info on this on wiki but it all leads to the ugly world of science. does anyone else get this, unless you know what exploding head syndrome is i guess it could be percieved as vibes and it certainly isnt painful. also one last thing, whilst im quite successful during an attempt i cannot stay out long for the life of me! i get out my body (rollout tech) jump down my ladder (loft conversion), jump or rather float down the stairs and at this point im either fading and realising it so its back to body or i make it out my front door and onto the frontyard path and start to fade. ive tried jumping through the roof in my room but i bang my head >< any thought folks?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / 1st exp?
February 08, 2010, 12:00:18
afternoon folks.
ive been trying to oobe on and off for years and recently started to practice again with some rather decent results.
basically ive not tried anything different from what ive done in the past but im able to get the energy bursts in my head with roughly 3 second intervals between each burst. after about 5 bursts my head is about explode and my whole body is vibrating, an exp im used to from spontaneous encounters. what im asking myself is 'why now?' why am i having some moderate success. i dont know what im doing different. also i think i may have had my first concious oobe, but the more i think about it the more i doubt. this happened yesterday whilest practicing next to my gf. basically i got the bursts of enegery in my head which lead to all over vibes, i then wondered how to get out...i decided to try the rope technique...why...its never worked before. well anyway surprising i was out of my body, i could see but the room was dark yet it was daylight when i attemped approx 11 am. my vision was that of being able to see underwater but without the blur...kind of wavey?? lack of a better word. i turned to my gf who wasnt in the position she should of been on the bed.i turned around and my tv wasnt where it should have been. i decided to see if i could jump through my ceiling...i jumped and banged my head, not what i was expecting. finally i jumped over my banister (my room is the attic) and floated down my ladder and noticed it got progressivly darker and then i woke up. for a first exp i wasnt overly excited like i thought i should have been, but i definatly had control yet the more i think about it the more i doubt that it was an oobe. so im posting here to see if some of you guys can shed a little light on my situation.
thanks all o/

side note before i forget. i clearly remember saying 'clarity now' to improve my vision. nothing happened. not sure how important that minor detail is but i'll leave it to you guys.

I did the courses at mysticweb many years ago, when i was pretty young say 16/17. I must say it wasnt till i got a little older that i realised the whole thing was incredibly cultish. I remember them saying you shouldn't discuss your experiences with anyone or else you would stop having experiences etc. The methods they taught where basic stuff like visualisation and focusing on breathing and heartbeats.
Im my opinion i think your definatly best hanging around here and reading first hand experiences from relaxed people who seem to have their heads screwed on properly.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Odd nights
March 05, 2006, 04:44:32
OK guys, i quit trying for a while in fear i may have been trying too hard but now of a night stuff seems to be happening all by its self, almost everynight this week i have the feeling of getting dragged back, like I'm getting sucked out but i feeling really heavy. at first i thought it was someone dragging the duvet off me. next I've had the feeling of being slightly lucid i think or rather it felt like i was trying to get out because i was trying to get up and i did with a little success but i felt like i was getting dragged back towards my bed, i didn't open my eyes cause it was night time and I'm not too happy with the dark. The weirdest experience i had this week was... when i was watching American pie the wedding on TV and there was a news interval for half hour so i thought id turn and face my wall and get a quick half hour sleep in, as the experience goes i fall asleep 'i think' and I'm tossing and turning because I'm hot and the duvet doesn't feeling the same, kinda like slidey duvets you have in summers cause it gets hot at night, so I'm tossing and turning and when i realize the duvet was different i was zipped back to reality to find i wake in the same position as i was when i nodded off, nice and comfy facing my wall and American pie back on again. i could of swear-ed i was tossing and turning so as you may understand i was shitting bricks at this point so i turned on my light and tried to collect my thoughts, and now i need your thoughts.
What the hell is happening to me at night!?

Hey guys, i browse here often but rarely post and now I've got a problem I've decided to leave my shell and put it forward to you guys.

Basically i can relax and get to a point where my whole body is kinda heavy(ish) this takes me about 20-40mins which does me nice cause i enjoy this period. Then the bad part comes, i lie there and nothing happens, I've try a method (rope), I've stared behind my eyes, I've tried doing nothing and still nothing. I'm not asleep because i can still hear the world around me to be honest I'm wide awake just relaxed. After a while i decide to cut it out and get up feeling rested. Ive also tried franks hypno cd which is great as it reduces the time takes me to relax in half but still has not sent me west.

What you think guys, I'm not trying to hard but have a will to project. All help appreciated.

PS, id also like to add, i don't get swept away with mind chatter, I've overcome this quite well I'm just lying there thinking of projection or trying to feel whats going on, which in most cases is nothing but a nice relaxing feeling.

Thanks again.
