David Icke's "and the truth shall set you free!"

I really enjoyed reading David Icke's books, and alot of the other literature he has produced. Its odd how people can go through their entire lives beliving what their told, never asking questions, never knowing the "truth", so to speak, if it is indeed the truth. Personally its one of my favorite books.

I'm not sure about David Icke's books. I've read one (the one about the lizards, jews & illuminati) and it seems like a load of rubbish to me. A lot of the things he presents as "fact" are simply his opinion, but he is clever to present them as the "truth", ha ha...

I know him in the context of his old occupation...I think he was the goalkeeper for Coventry City FC (? or another club) before he became a writer !

Yea, some of the things he says are a little outrageous, but then some of it also seems believable too, like the "4th dimension prison" stuff. I could see that happening.

That there are entities or whatever in the 4rth dimension that manipulate us, and keep us from reaching our full potential. He says something about a frequency that blocks our minds from transcending into other dimensions, and that human beings are meant to be multidimensional beings, but that frequency is keeping us imprisoned in the 3rd dimension, and the only way to reach the others is by either being born a spiritual person, or becoming more spiritual and having an open mind, and realizing that we are being manipulated.

I may have not explained it well, but his theories itself are not explained well either so....

I havent reached the chapter(s) about the reptilian species, but I wouldnt be surprised if it were true. I just started reading about conspiracy theories (go to www.abovetopsecret.com) and David Icke is not the only person to mention of an intelligent reptilian shapeshifting species.

    i read an article a while back about mr.icke and his connections to very right wing(neo-nazi type)activist organizations...it was in reference to him coming to B.C. in Canada to do a seminar and the booking and promos for him were done by some right-wing group....i will look really hard for the article...anyone else hear anything about this stuff??  on his views, i think the reptilian thing could be looked at as an actual manifestation of "aliens among us"; or maybe it is a way of saying that most of the human species is being manipulated to constantly run in the "fight or flight" mode.  limbic region of the brain, which runs this process, i've heard called the reptilian brain...hmmm....

im currently about 1/4 of the way through 'The Biggest Secret' by David Icke....

this books speaks alot about the reptilians and Brotherhood and such... in fact its that book that completely changed my outlook on things and got me looking for other answers.

ive been unable to purchase anymore of his books in australia (my mother bought it when she was in texas).
i hope to get more somehow soon.

My opinion:

I think people like David Icke really makes people question their knowledge and surroundings(often that can hurt).

And from own experience of his material i can say that i really enjoy it, alot of things he talks about really feels right.

There are alot of things that he talks about that i cannot prove in an instant, but that is the same with all information.
You have to see it for yourself.

Thinking that i know everything about the world just because people around me say "this is how it is".. then i limit my view of the reality.

Only when i open my mind to new information.. then i can understand more.

The best way to make people stuck in a belief is to make them believe that when they open their mind to new view they will loose their sanity.

Just because you have good feelings from a persons material doesnt mean you are caught up in the entire thing.
You still have your own thinking machine.

There is an entire whole issue if you get forced to believe something.
Than if you read and agree.

I think his material is very accurate.

I am interested in David Icke and have discussed him with a mate who is quite into his books - but the thing I find a bit poor (even quite disturbing) is how much he rants against all the fear based systems while completely creating his own. He tells us in no uncertain terms just how awful the world is, that its run by a load of reptilians and etc etc etc and that there is nothing you can do about it other than to spread the word! (while simultaneously raving about how this whole planet is controlled by fear) Pffftt!! IMO you fight evil where you find it, and spread the light as much as possible. We KNOW there is evil in this world! Who cares what face it takes? Further - there most certainly are things you can do to fight for whats right:
- Mararishi effect - meditate and spread the light to your local area
- Help the research into advanced technologies that would cut the strangle hold the world is currently experiencing. All such research (ie into things which are truly revolutionary and really do matter) is not done in universities, but by independant fringe researchers in their garages, sheds, etc. Free energy (eg zero point), anti-gravity, rife machines, ORMUS (anything related to) - all of these things have the potential to shatter some huge and very parasitic systems. And they all need more people like you and me to push them forward.
- Help improve yourself, help other improve themselves, generally be a Good human being. Every little bit helps.
- Oh yeah, and dont obsess about how evil the world is....

To answer your statement!

David Icke doesnt create fear.
What he talks about is something that many people agree and know about.
It has been known for a very long time.
If that makes you scared,.. then that is something you have to deal with.

Knowing what is happening in te world doesnt create fear.
Knowledge is power.
If you create a belief that makes people feel that they dont have any power to change their world around them, if you make people afraid of higher powers, if you make your child afraid By forcing a belief that makes them feel they are less worthy etc.. if you make people feel that they have to come to you when they need answers, then you create a fearbased belief.

What David Icke and others like him are doing is not to create a belief, he is just telling people what he has come across.
He doesnt say that he has all the answers, he is just speaking the truth from his standpoint.

From what i have seen,read etc is that he talks about that we are very unique and powerful beeings.

This society would look very differently if people knew that they are not "flesh that dont have any power at all and should let people with moneypower control the world".

If everyone was taught in school that they dont have to live like robots..work work work to stay alive and then grow old and die.
If we are taught in school about OBE, Lucid Dreaming, Spiritual Knowledge(just to mention something powerful of knowledge to humans).
Then we wouldnt have to seek wisdom from world leaders to fix the problem, we wouldnt look at organisations to fix the problem.

What David Icke wants to give out to people is knowledge.
What he says is that we are not doomed, we are not powerless, we are not less powerful than those on top of the pyramid. If you as an individual step out of the "mind prison" that most people live in.
Then you would express your individual uniqueness, you would grow more spiritual and more powerful than you can ever imagine.

If you are not stuck in a fear based society etc,.. if you know that you have great power within you.. then you will understand your full potential and evolve.

Yes, he talks about reptilians etc that controls the societies.. but he doesnt say that we are ordinary humans with no power to step out of it.

Its not about fighting a higher power, its about taking back the knowledge of power that we all have.
If everyone knew they are great beeings, then they dont have to feel like a slave, then they wouldnt be afraid of dying, then they wouldnt depend on others to seek the truth.

Aaaaahh I would have to respectfully disagree! I listened to an interview with david icke once on...umm lets see....news for the soul radio (http://www.newsforthesoul.com/moreshows.htm) - the presenter, bless her, started the interview by saying something along the lines of "David, many people find your ideas terrifying, but I think that they are infact very liberating and positive, your thoughts?" and he replied with "RANTRANTRANTRANT I'M TELLING PEOPLE THAT THERE IS AN EVIL REPTILIAN GOVERNMENT CONTROLLING THE WORLD RANTRANTRANT". She handed him a Golden Spoon to feed people with, showing that he is infact not fear based, and he totally either missed it or threw it back in her face. He is not orientated towards liberating people (positive), he is orientated towards making people afraid of the current situation (negative). You could say "aware" instead of afraid, but thats not really the way he presents it. He seems to me to be presenting it more along the lines of some sort of sensationalist story, used to grip as many people as possible.

Well, thats just what I think anyway!

I have only read the first 2 chapters so far. I just want to know what you fellow members think about this book and your opinions on this book are.
