Squeek, as a Recruiting Officer I say go to college and get a 4 year degree.  A masters is ok midcareer, but once you get a PhD you're unemployable [;)]

Computer Science is fine, but Computer Scientists are a dime a dozen.  From the influx of resumes I'm receiving every day, half of them are out of work right now.

With your IQ I think you should think of engineering or physics.  Pick a phenomenon that fascinates you (electromagnetics? metaphysics? astronomy?) and go for it.

Also, get a well-rounded education.  Learn a foreign language. Most scientific types can't write worth a d*&%.  You express yourself very well, so you will have an advantage and go far.

"so I don't stress out everyday and kill myself?"

Damn. In that case I have no advice.

Squeek,

Things do get harder in a lot of ways after high school and college. Work, paying bills, supporting a family, and so on is very hard. The best advice is to realize as bad as one day might seem, there is always the next day. It's been said that the only constant in life, is change, and it sure is true. Just keep your chin up, and if things get too stressed, just remember that it will pass before you know it.

Very best,

Hehe anything you do is basically contributing to the system...which is the government.  So personally, I have chosen to go into digital art/design...although I could've done anything I wanted.

Soooo thanks for the good advice! Time for me to reply!

I'm actually planning Software Engineering...  I wanna program video games for Nintendo, ya know, combine two passions into one!

And about the well-rounded edumacation... I've finished with Spanish in my high school.  3 years of it.... ugh.  I wish I could remember some of what I learned!

I hope I never have an interview...even though I know I will.  Online, I may seem cool, calm, and collected.  But in person...  [xx(]  not even close.  That's the reason why I prefer a programming job to a social job.  Don't mess with programmers, they'll hate ya forever! :D

LOL! I'm not planning on killing myself, ever.  TOO much to live for, ya know?!

If you like computer programming I recommend electrical engineering. I have a friend who does programming for computer games. The thing is that to get a job like this you need a lot of math. Electrical gets you that. Electrical engineers also have the highest hire rate. They are snatched up after graduation faster than any other engineer."

Ergh... notes.  My only true enemy [}:)]  I am not a note guy, at all.  Note taking is just...I don't even know how to describe it.  I don't learn that way.

I hope college isn't all about taking notes. Or studying.  I don't do either of those in high school.

You mentioned math?  My true love, math.  The one thing where answers never change through time.  1 + 1 will always equal two in math.  I looooooove math!  [8D]

What about applied mathematics? Im thinking in terms of a joint major of computer science and applied mathematics.

Hi... As you may know, I'm a senior in high school... and I just realized that life is gonna seriously get way harder for me in the coming years.  SOO.. does anybody have any insightful advice for me, so I don't stress out everyday and kill myself?  [|)]

PS - I'm planning on majoring in computer science... if that helps -.-
