Euphoric Sunrise

I don't know much classical music, but i do have Johannes Brahms' Hungarian Dance No.1 In G Minor and i love it.
I mostly listen to death/black metal, as well as rock and straight up metal. Bands like Rush, Dream Theater, Death, Emperor etc.
"The soul is never silent, but wordless"
* Emperor - The Tongue of Fire

"Guided by voices" are the best band around, without contest. I won't listen to any arguments suggesting otherwise.

"under the bushes, under the stars" lp is a good introduction to their extensive back catalogue. If you then become hooked like me, you will find yourself searching out the 5000+ songs written by Robert Pollard.

I'm also listening to John Coltrane at the moment, but I'm not a big fan of the long, noisy solo interludes, i prefer the laid back tracks like "Naima".

anybody into classical music should really like these if they havent found them yet.. i've been listening to summer for the past week or two practically non-stop, and maybe i'm just a freak, but maybe you guys will like it too..

'summer' from vivaldi's four seaons is near the bottom. most anybody should recognize the first movement of 'spring', whether you knew its name or not. it's on a lot of tv shows and commercials, but you rarely hear summer, and i can't even find fall or winter (maybe someone can help?). fastforward it to 1:53 if you want to hear the best part. joe satriani's done a version of it with bass and drums added in (guitar replaces violin). you can probably get it off winmx or kazaa easily. that's how i first found it. im a big baroque freak [:D]

so theres my bit.. what kind of stuff do the rest of you listen to?
What is the sound of no leaves cloving?
