Both James and the people under the post acted rashly and immature. Okay James should have given a better reason but then again don't try to recruit people and don't force your beliefs on others a belief is exactly what it says it is an opinion. people get emotional about beleifs and will fight for them I sota have my own but I just say them at then let it go if there are questions I answer them. (politely) I do not yell (or I try not to) in my opinion James should have not locked the post without a warning to calm down and take it easy. But the topic did get very heated I respect James posistion and know it takes alot of work and restraint. Also you should not flame people for their beliefs (everyone) but just because you dissagree does not mean you should get mad and do something uncalled for I have my beliefs about 2012 but I just say here is my belief take it or leave it I don't tell other people they are stupid and childish for their beliefs. I have stated my opininon and I hope that we can all just move past this issue. I appreiciate all the people that read this and take some of this to heart if you don't like what I have said I apologize if I have offended you in any way. I do not defend either party. Let me start by saying, wow, this thread grew very fast! And this may be alittle long.

Secondly: Hi, my name is Aries. I am 19, and graduated early at the age of 17. I am not stupid, or immature, I have a open mind, and do not try and push my own believes on anyone. I have not bashed anyone, flamed anyone etc etc, I do not make fun of people for there believes.

you people haven't even graduated highschool and your arguing with someone prolly more than twice your age,

and another thing that topic was F**king useless you had no actual facts backing any of the statements you where claiming
not only that but you begun fantasizing in "what-if" scenarios like "IMGOINAFIGHTINTHE WAR EVENIF I DIE!!!!"

you are obsessed with this roleplaying game you are making up stories and letting your imagination take over,
not only that but your stupid ONe sentence postings like

relay no actual information and only cause the reader to become less intelligent than they where before they had read it"

I respect James S, he has valuble input, and I dont hate him or think he is stupid, I think that he shouldnt have closed the topic thats all. Someone can be a respected person and still be wrong.

As far as learning about the mayans in school, and getting all our ideas from anime. That is BS, I didnt learn anything about the mayans in school, and I have said nothing that has been a idea based of an anime.

In closing. I think all of you need to rethink your statements towards me and the people that posted in Rise to Action, sure there has been lots of thins on it in the past, but IM A NEW MEMBER. And I dont intend to search thrue thousands of posts looking for info, frankly I dont have the time.
Most of you have personally offended me by posting such things as volcom did above. If that was your goal then congrats.. but if your trying to defend James then I think you need to rethink your strategy.

I've been watching the thread with a watchful eye as usual, and all I can find are contradictions and hypocrasies. No need to list them, go ahead and find them all for yourself.

But what I will say is that this heated battle/debate/discussion we've got going on here isn't about your belief system of the future, it's entirely about how you go about it! As Kakkarot pointed out, there are multitudes of topics that have been abandonded, simply to have another new one placed on top of it. Once either side sees it they either say their good comments about it or their bad comments about it. And trust me, that's the only thing that happens. It's always a debate.

Here's what I'm thinking we could do to resolve this. Either there is a "truce" of sorts where a singular topic is kept open concerning this and never any more, a chat room is made available for you, or you go to another forum.

And I apologize for any spelling / grammar comments I may have made. I just wish my debate would be heard by more people and they would start to realize just how annoying it is to me to see English demeaned like that.

Personal arguments don't go anywhere except from bad to worse. Threads with these kind of arguments will be the ones to get locked. Even if they start out dealing with important issues, topics that degrade into personal or tag-team bitching sessions are a waste of space and will be axed.

Finally, in agreement with what Squeek said - its not about your beliefs, its about how you go about it! That's what matters here.

Aries, you should never be concerned about being ridiculed unless of course your posts are non-sensical. Or when you have to defame others to stand up for your beliefs. Disagreements occur but the people I respect are the ones that deal with it in a logical and curtious manner. It is those that get defensive that tend to irk me the most because they then start to attack others. No one on this site should ever have to be worried about having to take crap from someone because of their opinions. If it does occur that is a job for the moderators to take care of. This site was created to allow all sorts of discussions to take place with out fear of harassment. It is a sad situation when it occurs but when it does we all just need to take a step back and figure out what we can change to prevent it from happening again.

Also I am getting bent out of shape when a person who doent believe it comes along and starts adding personal attacks. Such as Volcomstone. Stated in a very loud voice homany pimpels you had on your nose. And meant to hurt you with that remark. Would that make you feel bad or imbaressed. The point I am trying to get across is that don't you even think that it's silly you got offended by someone however many miles away from you, which basically knew very little about you, and which basically you know very little about him? In this whole experience you can easily see the high ego's of people at work, defending and attacking.

One more thing that gets me is that some people here TRY and gain respect on an online Forum. Why? I don't understand this at all...do you really need ego food that bad as to take it online? I'm sure, no, i hope, most of you see that obtaining respect on a Forum is not why you joined, but you joined this forum to learn.

Well I'm personally sick of all this arguing on this board. This used to be a much calmer and welcoming place before all the younger members joined. Unfortunatly I only had a couple of weeks here before that happened.
I'm ashamed to be associated with the younger members (being only 16 myself) and I think it's about time you all just quit with all the fighting.
If you want people to respect you and treat you as a mature person, act mature! Arguing only makes people think less of you.

I am new here but not new to this subject. The whole 2012 thing is wrong it was just one prediction which may or may not happen, if you want to believe the 2012 prophecy then trace other prophecys done by the same person and see if they came true.
I already do this and by my research it all kicked off in 1996 and is leading towards 2009 when it will be over. I also have predictions with over 295 Premonitions and 14 Predictions happened in 2 years this Month and i have seen an attack on england which many psychics believe from there own predictions and research that is most likely will happen some point this year or early 2005 but there is supposed to be an event worse than 9/11 in 2004.
