well, true neo, but i'm getting flustered myself with all the little kids who come on here, make something up and then say it's real because "anything is possible and if you don't believe that then you are closed minded and don't know what you are talking about" and making silly comments like that to back up their beliefs.

and to really explain why their ideas are wrong, without hurting their feelings, would take up an immense amount of time (becase we'd also have to make sure it is written in such a way that the younglings who don't understand much about metaphysics can understand us).

and that is another point: there are lots of people who get into one or two aspects of metaphysics and then try to validate their ideas by bringing in things they've barely even heard of. how many topics have you seen in the past few months talking about opening the third eye so these little kids could see demons?

or how about using ki balls to blow everything up? these kids hear one or two things and then let their imaginations run wild and actually forget that imagination is not reality.

and to try and tell this to ever kid who doesn't understand is more tiresome than it's worth.

You're wasting energy on the wrong issues guys, do I have to waste mine to prove that? 2012 may or may not come, simply because I believe that even if you can see the future, that's only 1 possible path for the physical, but that's besides the point. The reason the topic "A rise to action" was locked -
In less than an hour and a half, Aries, Neo, Clow and GothicDragonX filled up two pages worth of pointless patting each other on the back and psyching each other up.  Hence my comment that this is a discussion forum, not a chat room. You'd all turned the topic into something that was not worth anybody else's time reading! Add to that the fact that there were also two other threads going on about the same topic. If there was some actual intelligent discussion going on about the topic, I wouldn't have locked it.

Why I locked Neo's thread –
Neo, try and convince me that you weren't going to drag out the discussion ad-nauseum ! I stated the reason why I locked it and I wasn't interested in discussing the matter any further. Lighten up man! I've seen a number of your posts recently and you seem to have lost all your sense of humor. If losing your sense of humor is what it takes to train for some future war then COUNT ME OUT! Wait till you've been on this planet a little longer and you'll see just how often some group who claims to know the future predicts some horrible end to the earth or life as we know it. Thousands if not Millions of people were convinced that we weren't going to see past the year 2000. So tell me how these 'prophecies' you hold so passionately to differ from them?
There's been a lot of people on this planet studying end of the world prophecies a lot longer than you've been around, and they haven't gotten it right yet, so what makes you so sure you have? Besides, nobody can know the future because it hasn't happened yet! Yeah, it's a real simple statement, but even to the most complex theories of quantum mechanics it still holds true. Think about it!

About the use of the bible as proof for this war :
If any of you have actually read the bible you'd know that all the end times stuff in Revelations it tied in with the return of Jesus. I don't know how many misguided preachers I've heard try to put a date on this. The bible itself has something quite clear to say about this:
Mark13:32 But of that day or of that hour no one knows, neither the angels who are in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.

Anyway, I could go on a great deal more here, but I don't want to bore anybody to death, and I've got a headache, so I'll leave it at that for now.

I have never been so angry and entertained by a bunch of children in my life.  I'm 17 for those who don't know.  And i'm looking back at most of the kids here and thinking, no wonder "grown-ups" don't respect our age.  No wonder they keep saying, "Kids these days...".  I have personally been offended by the way these children spell and talk to people, which is with the UPMOST disrespect!

you're right clow. there wasn't a single person who made it up. it was two or three (my memory wanes on the issue and the energy forum is now gone so i can't even reference the specific thread). and it wasn't three or four years ago, it was about one and a half, and it was just made up because a few people had some "bad feelings" about some future date and someone else just came up with 2012.

and i was not a part of it (volcomestone []) but i did witness it's beginning here, then it's inception on ki-teachings, and then it's move to the astral society and veritas. that is why i think it is so sad; it is based upon conjecture, wishful thinking, and just plain bullsh*t.

there is no substance or truth behind it, and if you kids who think there IS can't even come up with one shred of GOOD evidence, then why bother believing it? people have said in other places that this war is prophecied in "all" religions and holy books and texts, yet they have not given even a single quote or example from one of those religions, holy books, or texts. If the discussion is topic-locked, and you feel it is unfair, it is very easy to take the discussion off-forum.  There's mailing list, alternate forums, usenet newsgroups, yahoo discussion groups, and web-page annotations (blog-like).  In all of them James can't lift a finger to stop you.  Depending on your strength of view and how much effort you are willing to put into it you can discuss/recruit/inform at least as much as you do here.  

I don't call it abuse of power until entire catagories of threads are nuked (not just frozen) on the basis of the poster's identity, then banning the poster, then poster's IP, anyone who mentions the poster, or the original issue.  That's not happening here.  

Let's face it.  Some threads need to be frozen.  We've all seen it - out-of-control threads, threads severely off-topic, trolls, misinformation, and newbie chum (aka munchkins).  It's the moderators job to keep the forum neat and clean, removing these annoyances, and *anything* else that annoys the *majority* of the forum readers.  Performing that job, while it my annoy you to the nth degree, keeps the forum stable for the majority.

Remember the saying "Do not meddle in the affairs of moderators (or dragons), because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup."

Wow, what a limited view! The future has happened. There is no past, present or future. I can't go 100% with your statement regarding that nobody can know the future. It is possible and there have been prophecys that have come true.

However, I think that your missing the point. It doesn't have to be a prophecy as much as it is a prediction. For example, I can most likely be correct in predicting that if the Earth gets a few hundred million more miles closer to the Sun that society would come to an end. Perhaps the Mayans predicted that when the age of the aquarius, when that certain alignment of cosmic energies occured life would change in a way we can only fathom.

I've always believed there was true science in the occult, that it wasn't so magical as people belived. I think it has rules, and ways to learn how it operates in relations to the physical plane. What if this certain arragement/alignment of celestial energies has some unknown effect on our astral bodies? Many credible Astral Projection authors believe that even that Earth's (low powered) magneto sphere has a moderate effect on projection.

Power lines and other forms of ELF and EMF radation has had tremendus effects on projectors. Eygptians built pyramids to channel higher energies (in my opinion, I cannot prove or back up this statement) underground running water intersections are thought to be energy havens, crystals, rocks, etc are also believed by some to possess simliar qualities. So whats to say that cosmic energy of some sort couldn't pull the (magnetic? electro magnetic? energy?) fabric of astral worlds (how about the physical plane and a negative plane) together. Maybe it creates a rift between worlds. I think it's possible, albiet I always find it unprobable that the "end" is coming.

The one thing that gets me about this is it seems so illogical. Yet deep down I feel it right. Empathically I know this war is coming. This theory seems like it fits with my own experiences.

The world is coming back to lost knowledge. This entire metaphysical movement is proof that things are changing spiritualy for mankind. It's only growing, it saddens me to think one day this knowledge will no longer regarded with awe and respect but of common knowledge. It reminds me when I lost the Internet to commerical exploitation. *sighs* Even I have been "training" for the war now. But I'm not on mankinds side. Let the demons come and purge it's disease known as humanity.

While I agree that in the wider view past, present and future are all parts of the whole, while in this dimension we're limited to experiencing this in a strictly linear manner, so for us it still holds true that the future hasn't happened yet.

This is one of the things that's come to my mind about this whole war situation, and why I really dislike people speaking with an authority  as if its a done deal.

I've considered this when thinking about possible knowledge of some far off war that may have been channelled from beings whose dimensional state allows them to see our timeline as a whole. The only thing here is that although it might be possible for some beings, and indeed some tallented precognitives to be able to see this war as a future possibility, like any future event, it can still only remain nothing more than a possibility.

Consider our timeline as being like a river that feeds into many different tributaries. At a point in the future very close to the observer, the possibilities are fairly limited, so the timeline is like a wide flowing path with few diverging paths. As the observer looks futher into the future, that main path splits off more and more, until they're looking far ahead at mass of different paths, ever splitting into smaller ones, which split again and again.

At some far distant point there is possibly a path that leads to a to an event like this 2012 war, but the further back from it you're looking, the smaller the probability is that you'll end up travelling that exact path. When someone is given the ability to see a future event, either by way of channelling outside help, or through precognition, they are only ever able to see one possible path.

Unfortunately a lot of people place great faith in the ability of the future being able to be accurately predicted because they have witnessed a fortune teller, prophet or precog that's accurately hit on an event who's path we managed to travel on. The other 99% of time when a prediction like this comes true for an individual, its usually through self fulfillment of that prediction.
