hello

last night when i was laying in bed i wonderd
the most people on this forum all have something in common
they all have their opinions and cool standarded sentences
can it be that they are here to show off their ego-overrated opinions and throwing their sentences around to get an extra boost?
this would mean that their experiences beeing out of the body is just something they come up with to be special? they watch spider man movie, now trying to be spider man?
"experience it for yourself man!" you people feel so cool saying that? because it underlines that you are doeing something special which everybody should do
maybe you never been out of your body, it is lucid dreaming, just one topic, not 1000th?
who knows who knows

tell me what you think about this, or do you feel that urge of beeing better then others? tell me about the experience of wanting to be special, how does it feel? did it really cause all theese minds to come up with crazy theorys?

its important to clarify this because many people maybe see this forum and think that there is something amazing here, also would waste time on this

I haven't been on this site very long, the reason i fell apon this site is i was terrified after my first experience and i needed to talk to somebody who has had a similar experience. So i googled and found this and thank god i did as i'm not afraid anymore. I don't think these people are ill at all. I'm not sure who you are but what is the reason you are here ?

None of these theories are crazy, some are even scientifically based. Many people here are rational, but not the kind of rational that you understand. It is a "thinking-out-of-the-box" rationality, which is not shared or understood by left-brain materialists - like you. Try to see the bigger picture, try to gain a holistic view and you will understand. As long as you don't try, you will not understand most people on this forum. You see only a narrow-minded little picture and the dogma dictated to you by the 'mainstream' and people you call 'scientists'.
And why always indirectly insulting people who share their experiences here? Isn't it rather YOU that wants to feel great here?
My suggestion: if YOU want to feel so ego-boosted and great (and I guess that's the case here) why don't you go back to where obviously you came from? I guess it was a James Randi forum or any 'skeptics society' or any similar 'club'? There you will find a lot of like-minded "little-picture-rational" people and many will applaud your views there. Then your ego will feel great. It seems (unlike most people here) that YOU really need this.

I know I'm spinning my wheels here, but forget the theoretical science involved for a minute... is it that difficult to imagine a dream in which you're fully aware and lucid? This is a legit question that you should give some thought to and answer if you wish to understand.

@OP Please accept that the out of body experience phenomenon DOES happen. Hence we can clarify that this forum is useful for people who DO experience this phenomenon, to come forward and share their experiences with people who show interest, curiosity and even guidance.

Let me clear the entire scene up now :: Try to imagine please OP, that your ordinary, habitual lifestyle becomes interrupted by an event which appears to you in every way as reality, yet you know deep down it is not because that is not where your memory last left off. The experience shocks you firstly, it creates feelings and choices which you never before knew you had, its refreshing and even makes you believe that there is more to life and reality than first meets the eye. So you come here, with the experience and you ACCEPT this "unknown", that is exactly what it is, an unknown because no scientist so far has proven or dis-proven completely the causes of it.

So now I question you thee further... If they haven't done that, what are YOU going to do to change the records? Let me also say that I am not against you, but that everyone who believes something , believes they have sufficient reasons to have that belief. So really what you are suggesting is that they have a deeper motive, relating to their ego, to talk happily about these things and make such a big deal out of the whole thing? Okay, well my take on it, is that, they have been "inspired" by the whole idea and experience. Its warped their emotions, please do not hate or attack these people, just understand them, have empathy, and although you may be correct for having the will power from your perspective to ignore the emotional, experiencing FACTORS which contribute to a person having these beliefs, they however, do not have that will power or understanding.

Now this little topic brings me on to talk about the guy who took the side of the "thinking out of the box". I think because you come across to be an intelligent man, I can put it quite simply to you as this ... " None of us know how many boxes we are in , Neither do we know how many boxes someone over the internet, or someone sitting next to us are in " . So before you are so eager to use the term " thinking outside the box ", please bare that in mind.

I am very interested in the OBE subject ... however I have come to accept that I cannot control the minds of any individual, so if I have any problems or disagreements with another persons' view, there is nothing I can do , except show my opinion and try to help others to understand what I do. ( This is also what you are doing to myself and others, and I thank you incredibly for that )

Now narrow-mined or not, I'm so far a materialist assumptionist and i'm proud to say that. Second to that, we are not special or gifted in any high form to my knowledge, other than the force of evolution.

Firstly, maybe some people have nt projected and there just full of excrement but i guarantee more than half the people online has had genuine astral projection experiences. I have been mentioning this a lot lately but for the sake of your ignorance i ll mention it again............... in the opening chapter of one of monroes books he says that the layman will soon realise to keep these experiences to himself in order to prevent grieve from people just like you or from been considered mentally ill. so you see in everyday life there is not many people who will openly have a conversation about this. I read a recent post on here about a guy getting maced because of conversing about this and hey even if they did decide to converse with us regarding projection they probally would not know much about it because they have nt experienced it. so here is a great place for us because we can ask questions and get good answers and share stories about our experinces with like minded people.

Now then mr psychologist lad trying to analysis all of us why dont you tell us why you are on this site filled with as you stated "mentally ill people with ego centric pertsonalities who think there special" . why do you wanna be in a forum of bullshittters? mb its two types of people , people who seek definate answers and comfort from a truth
and people who don't seek a definate answer, accept the world to infintely crazy and many many possibiltieis.
but why they would do that ?

i think its a counter - force to the control of their lives by the government ( behavioural world they been brought up in )
they feel like they been controlled entire life -- so they have to create crazy views to counter that feeling
they been told to belief things, that's a form of control too

when he says "constructs" "structures", he means like :: materialist constructs, but that's wrong no? we saw the atom in a picture , the atom is real, you can't say no to it

its like they don't even respect a ball moving, and the consequences of a ball moving to even bother them - like oh its fake, the ball isn't really moving its just a picture !
but that's reality ! what else are they seeking for.
i am open to more features inside the "world system" .. i just don't see any evidence for them yet, that's all

ok this person right here seems to feel attacked by my post, is he ashamed? did my post hit in the black? why else would he feel attacked? i even talked in a very powerless way, still he feels attacked and comes here to throw around with his opinions and assumptions
