Hello everyone!

So I have read and noticed that when I try to have an astral projection experience or meditate, that I hear a rumbling sound. This sound has been compared, and is the same rumbling sound, as the one we hear when we yawn if I am correct. I also believe it has something to do with the pineal gland(?). I've also found that I can make the rumbling occur by closing my eyes and focusing on the region in the center of my head between my temples. Could this aid me in any way? for AP?

Edit: when I say I can make it happen, I don't just mean through meditation. I can do this at free will at any time.

It has nothing to do with your pineal gland.

All 5 of your physical senses are ALWAYS processing something.
You're always tasting something, even if it's just the inside of your mouth.
You're always feeling something, even if it's just the warm air around you.
You're always smelling something, even if it's just an extremely neutral, non-smelly smell.
You're always seeing something, even when you're eyes are closed.
AND... you're always HEARING something, even when it's completely quiet, you're hearing the sound of "no-sound".

That's what you're hearing.

Remember that your senses don't "stop" doing what they do just because you're not paying attention to them.  You can, however, "ignore" those 5 physical senses... this is, essentially, how we project.  ;)

Ah okay! Thank you for clarifying. To clarify further, do you think focusing on the rumbling would help me project in any way?

Most definitely!

See, another thing to understand is that there is something that most people haven't noticed about *ALL* projection methods out there... and once you figure this out, you will better equip yourself for doing it.

They can *ALL* (yes, every single one of them) be broken down into "something you do to focus your attention away from this physical reality".  That's all they do.

Even the ones where you're focusing on something physical.  It's not that you're focusing on something physical... it's that you're focusing on something to the exclusion of everything else.
What you're doing is pushing everything physical away from your conscious mind.  This is what people mean when they say to "go within".  However, it's not REALLY going within... it's also not going outside yourself either.  This is why the term "OUT OF BODY experience" is misleading, because you're not going out of your body.  As Tom Campbell suggests, it's probably more correct to say it's an "into your consciousness experience".  LoL  You're simply moving the perspective of your consciousness "away" from your 5 physical senses.

There isn't a technique that exists that doesn't do this.  It's all about focusing the mind... then holding that focus for an extended period of time until this physical reality drops away.

So yup!  You can use the sound of "no-sound" to do this.  It's extremely effective for most people.  But, as everyone is different, some things work better with some people than with others.  So just experiment!  :)
