Energy raising and OBE

I have been practicing an OBE tecnique similar to vhat R Bruce decribes in his APbook. He says that the order of the elements of the exercise is this:

1, Relaxation
2, Full body energy circuit
3, Going into trance
4, chakra stimulation and energy raising
5, energy body loosening(optional)
6, attempt exit tecnique if you feel the exit sensations

Hovever, I am doing the chakra stimulation+energy raising before going into trance (after the full body circuit). I knov that Bruce says that it is better to do chakra stimulation in trance but I am doing it in this order because it is still very dificult for me to get into trance state and I can not remain in trance, vhile doing the chakra stimulation part.

I have never managed to get to the exit in this exercise (I have never even had strong exit sensations). That is vhy I am asking,
Can someone tell me if it is possible to do a successful exit if the execise is done in this order(doing the chakra stimulation+energy raising before going into trance) ????
Thanks for ansvering

I just want to comment on something else he has said in various places- If chakra stimulation is too intense (that is, energy work can be stimulating and disrupt your sleep patterns)- all energy work (except energy raising) should be done separately during the day, and not as a 'regular' part of the projection routine.  Also, when he says that energy work is best done in trance, this is in terms of energy body development and feedback sensations, not necessarily to improve projection.

So you're not wrong, there are a lot of variables in this routine.

One more:  Even though energy body loosening is optional, I personally consider it essential, and a mistake not to do it prior to an exit attempt.

I have to agree with the energy body loosening.  I know that RB says it's optional in Astral Dynamics and because of that I always assumed that meant unnecessary and probably irrelevant.  I thought it was something that might be a good way to strengthen control of the astral body but ultimately wouldn't effect how well I could leave the body.  Now I really strongly disagree with my old sentiment.  Energy Body Loosening is one of the most important parts of my practice now.

I also want to say that through my practice I have determined that the energy body loosening itself is a form of energy raising.  A big part of the whole energy raising process is to bring attention to different areas of your body.  Your attention is what can direct energy.  That's why the full body circuit is just rolling your attention around your body in a circuit that ultimately stores that attention energy in your solar plexus (not the solar plexus chakra).  When you do energy body loosening exercises you are using your attention to move your energy body as a whole.  From my experience this does a lot to raise the energetic state of my energy bodies.  It's like rubbing your socks on the carpet and building up static.  When you move your energy body you are loosening it, but you're doing it against a degree of resistance.  As you do it more (in one session and over time) it gets progressively easier because it's like you're heating it up thereby allowing it to slide more easily with less resistance.  This practice itself has not only generated a lot of exit sensations (like vibrations), it has also carried over into my daily life by enhancing my sensitivity to subtle energies.

In my opinion you can use energy body loosening as a substitute for the whole energy raising process when you're short on time.  I know it may sound weird, but if you think about the principles behind energy work, the body loosening has a lot in common with a lot of the other energy work practices that RB teaches.

In reference to your actual question, there is no right way to do projection practice.  I started out doing RB's method and nothing else and it helped me energetically but I still wasn't progressing in the OBE department like I wanted too.  So I moved on to other methods and techniques and practices and I've made a lot more development through them.  The point is that there are tons of different ways to achieve OBE.  And in truth no one else's method can ever work for you.  The basic framework may work, but when it comes down to it, there are infinitely unique subtleties about the way you perceive your experience that will make your practice different.  And that's what makes OBE work hard.  There is no right way to do it, there is only your own way.  You can't learn your way from a book, you just have to get in there and try.  Through trial and error you will begin to formulate a process of things that you find successful.

Take the methods you read about and follow them very loosely.  Be prepared to have to tweak and edit them.  That's how you'll be successful.

I have also been practicing OBE techniques similar to what R Bruce describes in his books. Here is what my daily routine looks like:

1) Martial Arts / Stretching / Relaxation (60 min)
2) Begin trance meditation
3) Chakra stimulation & energy raising (45 - 60 min)
4) Full body energy circuit (30 min)
5) Energy body loosening (10 - 15 min) (Here is where I project)
6) End trance meditation

When doing the projecton sequence, I only do energy raising in the begining (after relaxation and before going into trance). I never return to it during the exercise.
When I feel that I can not go deeper into trance, I simply do some body loosening for a few minutes, as It might triger some exit sensatios. If I feel some of these after loosening, I attemptan exit. However, I have never managed to have even a partial separation yet.

Is it possible that if I include some energy raising before body loosening, It will help to have stronger exit sensations (loosen the astral body more)?

In my opinion, energy raising does not help much. The key to projection is to be in the right state (calm, relaxed meditative/trance). In this state, body loosening and/or an exit tecnique is enough to triger the exit sensations and the separation itself. It is not necessary to do energy raising once more (since I already did it once in the begining).
However, I am not sure about this.
Can somebody give any suggestions? Am I right or wrong?

It may be different for everyone so it's difficult to say which way is right and which way is wrong. I raise my energy the entire time I'm in the trance state. Then After about 30-60 minutes I usually begin to see through my closed eyelids and then I am able to separate my energy body and fly around.

From my recent experience I think that doing more energy work will help your projections be stronger, more stable and controllable.
