Dream Machine

Has anyone ever tried a Dream Machine? the thing Burroughs and Gynsin made. Did it work? Do you know where to buy one that isn't $500?

It's actually not that hard to make your own.  There are instructions at http://www.10111.org/dreamachine/ that I used to make mine.  It does take some time, but it's time well spent.  It seems to put me into a trance almost immediately.
