I would like your opinion on an experience I had this morning. I woke up at 8am and at 11am decided to lay down and listen to some isochonic tones with my eyes closed and remaining as still as possible. About half way through the tone I felt a little tingly sensation mostly at my feet but I could feel it in my hands as well.

I concentrated on the feeling and for no reason decided to imagine I was sliding backwards and forwards to my breathing. I must had lost focus because the next thing I remember was floating on the landing ceiling sliding backwards and forwards.

After a few seconds to realise I was probably In AP and for me to stop floating I decided to try and walk through a door but wasn't able to so needed to open the door instead. After this I had a false awakening before finally waking up at 12pm.

My question is because I only felt a tingly sensation and didn't float out of my body like all the other stories I read does this sound like a proper AP or just a very vivid dream. If this does sound like a AP that would be so cool because this would be my first conscious attempted AP

Forget the stories you have read. Those stories are based on that person's interpretation of what is happening. They are only guidelines/blueprints, but are not written in stone.

I don't ever feel the sensation of floating out of my body during a Phase session. My belief is I am going into my consciousness, not coming out of body and because of this belief I perceive what happens to be completely different than many books say.

When I tried to do what the books say, I found myslef having too many problems, by trying to control the situation, instead of just SURRENDERING to it and ALLOWING it to happen.

Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)

Thankyou for the advise.  :-)

Even if it was a dream, the moment you tried to take control and became aware you crossed that line that was never there in the first place. What makes it an AP is your awareness, nothing else.

Awareness and your control is the only thing that marks the difference. I first realized that fact because of this forum and it actually killed my buzz so to speak. I actually believed my projected self was out there exploring the universe.

But the truth, at least how I see it now, is even cooler. It''s more accurate to say that your consciousness and the universe are one so you never have to go anywhere in the first place. At least that's how I'm coming to see things and based on my experiences in the NPR so far, it fits better than any other idea.

It doesn't matter how you view it right now. The benefits are still the same and so is the amazement.

It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.

You hit the nail dead on the head with this entire statement/post here.

This is why we try to stress importance of "change your mindset, you change your reality"!  :-)

That really makes sense, I guess I was trying to complicate things more than I need to. Even that I've been trying to AP for more than 4 years I guess I'm still wet behind the ears (English saying lol) when it comes to AP and you guys are really filling in the gaps for me.

I think you'll be amazed at how quickly you're going to start phasing now. It's just my opinion, but I believe it has taken you so long to gain your awareness because some part of you still believed the experience was not real. Although a person trying to phase for four years directly contradicts my belief.

I phased twice without intention and so I always knew it was possible and it didn't take me long to phase intentionally. I have a little advice for you and of course, you should take it with a grain of salt. But after four years I'm sure you have already read plenty on the subject.

Read what Frank Kepple (correct spelling?) says about the process of reaching the NPR and stop before he get's into his interpretation of what the NPR is if you haven't yet. I strongly believe that he is correct but it's better to form your own theory and then compare it to another. It helped me to overcome a lifetime of religious beliefs that were holding me back and the revelation is very profound and life changing.

I've been phasing for over twelve years now and I was still very ignorant until I found this website. In fact, if you read the few posts that I have made, you will see how quickly I have accepted my new real reality. It's not because I'm gullible or easily influenced, but these guys and gals here simply nudged me into seeing that I had already arrived to the destination.

I do not like to talk about my exact experiences because everything we see and learn in the NPR is for us subjectively but I will give you a small example of how quickly things changed for me.  One of my guides was a beautiful female angel with wings and all, whom I relied on the most.  Once I changed my thinking in this reality, the very next time I phased she was no longer a she or an angel. He is more like a "troll" in his most comfortable form.  He changed his appearance to his normal self because he said I no longer need to be comforted with my old beliefs but I instantly recognized him as my guide because of his energy. He was relieved to lose the womanly figure to say the least. Take from this what you will but do not accept it as the truth for yourself. Much thanks to all and proceed with amazement.
