over the past week or two I've been experiencing the vibrations more and more as I'm falling asleep. what im doing is trying to stay conscious as my body falls asleep and the hypnagogic (hope i spelled that corectly) imagery starts to come, but I always end up losing consciousness. even though im losing consciousness ive been gaining it back shortly afterfalling asleep and i wake up with the vibrations all over my body. from others experiences is this a good method, and also, if i continue to do this do you guys from your own experiences that the vibations will come more often if i kep it up? ive had three experiences with the vibes so far, all using the method described above (not fully aware when they come, but becoming aware when they do). the first experience was 4 days before the second, and the third just one day after the second. im hoping that ill get to the point where i can catch the vibes every night, is this a logical hope or not? also, once im in the vibrational state what is the best way to get out of my body because last night i just ended up waking up since the vibes were giving me a feeling of terror, or impending doom (they didnt so much the first two times but this last time i felt like there were evil spirits in the room or something)?

I'm not sure what method you're talking about.  When you get vibrations, what do you do?

No.  Vibrations are side effects of the preprojection experience, a signpost that you are about to have an OBE, and at first they tell you when to start an exit technique (or an energy body loosening routine.)  But they are not something you create or exercise for.  When you start to project more and more, chances are that you will get less and less vibrations.  This is because vibes are nature's way of telling you you are shifting vibration or phase.  Once you get to do it more and more, they become less strong, not more.

The terror is a side effect of energy body expansion.  Your 'animal senses' tell you there's 'something else' in the room and the fear reflex sets in.  This is common, and an indication of separation/expansion.  It's something that you get used to, if not 'comfortable with'.  But it's part of the package.
I find that when I have vibrations the rope tech works well, if you keep doing it and don't stop.  Other techs work well, such as the waterski method. or 'climbing stairs'- anything that externalizes the energy body.  Some people try the rollout method- this works better for me when the vibrations are very slow.

Drift

Try remaining fully active in your mind for the first part. The body will start to sleep around 30/45 minutes of complete inactivity so just keep thinking about something particular, planets, space whatever, something conducive to a nice state of mind.

Once you feel the body reach that moment, you will know when that comes aside from everything else your perception changes to a very detached almost removed kind of sensation, thats when you want to start playing. I dont like that technique I think its not needed, just stay with the mind when the body goes numb and try different thing, think of blackness, a black blanket coming down over you, think of the air all around your touching your skin and the energy that makes air what it is, think of floating, try them out theres many ways.

At one moment you are going to be hauled unceremoniously into an OOBE and after that its all much easier.
