I had just gotten out of a shower.
I felt somewhat relaxed.
So I took a seat, lights on, and closed my eyes, recalling the feeling I would get when I would meditate.
Instantly I felt numb. And heard a wavering in my ears (similar to the hemi-sync sound), along with a pronounced high pitched hiss.
After a while of embracing it, I opened my eyes and moved my body and it was all gone.

Does this mean anything?
Is it really possible that in those types of conditions, I could really achieve anything at all in that short amount of time.

Also, I heard something about gently focusing on that hiss to bring you to vibrations.
Any experience with that?

Also, thank you in advance guys.
If it weren't for this forum, I don't think I'd be anywhere near where I even am.

Still working on my first projection.
Maybe tonight will be the night.

It's hard to say. It's possible for things to come on that fast under the proper conditions, but for the most part it's not that common for a beginner. But it shows that your being observant and it's giving you something to experiment with. Doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong. Next time if the feelings stick around, keep going until something happens or it dissipates altogether. Good luck!

Thank you!

Shouldn't be too long before I have a somewhat interesting experience.

Like Stookie says,
you've observed a couple key aspects already, and yes, the proper conditions can appear rather quickly and unexpectedly.

Keep in mind that you want to always maintain a curious, yet impassive, unemotional attitude when exit symptoms start happening...just let the process unfold and see what happens next, always trusting that you are safe and secure. It can get noisy and freaky! Just roll with it!

Devour as much information from this site and its archives as you can. It all serves to help direct and correlate what you are likely to experience...it sure did for me and still does. Like you said, 'without it I wouldn't be where I am'...I couldn't agree more.

See you out there,

EV
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

:-D

I'm going to take all I've learned and go for an honest attempt tonight. *I have an reversed sleeping schedule from what most people have*

And thank you so much for the vote of confidence.
