You can't help but return to your body.

You don't necessarily have to think about your feet. For most people, just thinking about the body is enough to bring them back to it.

Robert Bruce's rope technique is something that has to do with tactile sensations (it's like visualization for your hands). There's not any actual "rope" attached to people.

These noises you're talking about, not everyone experiences them. Some people do, but they don't always hear voices, either. Like me, I've only heard noises once, and it sounded like a piece of paper being ripped in half. You're not frightened by paper, are you? And they only seem to be present during a noticable seperation. Not everyone has the   vibrations.

You can  go however far you want, really. So far, no one has hit a limit and told people about it.

You might have trouble spooking someone, though. Unless they're more in tune with their psychic senses, no one will notice you. Then again,  that one Bob guy did say he left a bruise on some lady...

Also, are you fat or something? Is that why you use two "D"s in your emoticon? To represent a double chin?
I need a signature that isn't stupid. :/

I've been projecting for about 13 years (I still feel like a beginner),and from what I have noticed,it seems that the only limits as to how far you can go are the limits you create from fear.

even the slightest half-thought about being fearful will send you straight back to your body.If you want truly unlimited travel (near physical dimensions, and astral dimensions furthur in vibration from the physical) you have to develop a certain fearlessness while out of the physical.this can be achieved by the simple realization that conciousness is immortal.

there have been times when I encountered a very annoying 'static' in the earths magnetic field that seemed to be made of everyones random thoughts.you never really get a sense of how many people have the most useless thoughts rambling around inside them until you hear millions of them at once!

and you also may get sounds on the borderline state.things like screams, crashes, people in your room, animals (cats, etc).

the main thing to keep in mind if you really want to try OBE travel is that any slight fear about the situation will automatically set up a fear barrier between you and your goal.

also:if you are taking any medications, they can make it very difficult to achieve projection.I know all about this unfortunately :(
The musical conciousness is mind beneath the sun.

Hi Serenity,

Please don't take this the wrong way but if you are fearful of returning to your body and some of the things you may encounter while projecting, you might want to wait.  May I suggest reading a few books if you have not already done so? They have a calming effect when you read about the authors projecting hundreds of times and returning safely. Once you have truly realized that nothing serious can happen to you, then go ahead and attempt it.

IMHO,

I don't want to sound like an idiot...but I am really ready for Astral Projection, but I am having doubts about whether or not I will be able to reutnr to my body afterwards.
I have heard that if you just think of your feet whilst in your astral body, you are willing yourself back down to tyour physical body but I hate my feet so I don't want to think about them too much!!! XDD;;;
Eeep...the whole rope thing is a good idea, but I don't think I have any rope... >_>
and apparently you hear astral wind and voices, and you can encounter other bodies when you are astral travelling...I have made my mind up that today I will do some astral travelling, but I am wary of what I may encounter.
One more question: How far can you go?? do you have to stay close to your body or can you travel miles, spook the hell out of someone, then return? XDD any replies would be appreciated.[/black] [:)][:D]
