Thought I'd give this a shot.  I've got a few experiences that I'd like to share and compare.

Getting outta my body isn't too difficult to do, it's when I'm out of my body that things start getting difficult...  My last projection was on my right side laying down.  I woke to find myself getting up off a couch...where I was laying on my left side...totally different environment...but similar to my home...the wall texture seemed the same anyway.  There were people around doing things, and the the configuration of the room I woke up in was like my livingroom in certain respects, just alot bigger and the furnature was totally different.  I remember focusing on the sensations of touch, feeling the walls and floor beneath me...  I remember trying out different things, like changing my perspective to walk on walls and such...but I remember doing 2 things.

1. I would always accept whatever I see as being somewhere that was familiar to me.  It wasn't my livingroom, and I was surprised not to see my body when I got up...but I immediately accepted this.

2. I couldn't keep focus.  I would focus on one sensation, then I'd lose my sight...then I'd have to stop and try to get interested in seeing things again before I could again see what I was doing...and there were times where I guess I was drifting along for a while until I woke up again.

I figure stuff like this is where I'm mostly dreaming, but how do I stay conscious throughout the experience?

When I get out on my back, I'm usually in the same place...but I just can't see very well, and some things are still distorted...same issues really...

Also, is there a good place to chat about stuff like this?  Nobody I know ever does any out of body stuff...I'm the only one.  LOL

I think it really depends on how much awareness/consciousness you have. One thing I can confirm is that commands work. Intend your vision to become better and command out loud "CLARITY NOW". Keep repeating that with as much intention and strength as you can muster, and your vision will become crystal clear.

Try examining your scenery in more detail, touch things, smell things, listen for sounds and 'absorb' yourself in the experience as much as possible.

Hope this helps!
