Concious Projection

I can project into the astral from a lucid dream no problem. I lucid dream most nights, so thats not a problem either. The problem is that doing it this way has severe limitations to me, and a high risk of falling back into a dream or waking up. From a lucid dream I maintain complete control for about ten seconds, where i fly as fast and as far away as I can in my attempt at freedom, after those seconds it all changes, i lose control and thats that.

In comparison, the 1 time I have conciously projected, it was completely different. I had all the sensations, the rushing as I exited, I could feel my heart chakra humming away, I was SUPER aware of everything around me, like I could actually feel it in a way I've never felt anything before. at least 2 minutes of full control before returning to my body and recording every single detail.

I'm making no advances in projecting from lucid dreaming, it seems to be a bit of a cheat way, I believe that the only way to progress is to master concious projection, this is where I call out to you guys for HELP! Whatever I did that one time to achieve the perfect projection, I've never grasped it since. Any time that I've gotten close, I can't peg what I'm doing differently. I get to the point where I can feel my astral body moving back and forth ready to pop! and then it stops and I get stuck feeling like I'm in 2 bodies at once, both still connected to eachother...it's annoying. From what I've described, do you have any clue what I'm missing?

I've recently taken a long break since my last attempt, trying to recharge my energies or something, and every time I think about trying again, I really don't see the point without some fresh info. Thanks in advance

Hey, I'm disappointed nobodies been able to help me out yet, just thought I'd check in with an update. I've kept trying and the situation is pretty much the same except my heart starts to pound real heavy. real slow, but real heavy. I'm talking beats so forceful my whole body feels like it's pulsing, any insight on that?

Lord_Dark_Forses

i had the same problem, i projected from a LD for about 5-6 seconds

hey, have you ever tried while lucid dreaming to transfer into another body and then from that body make of the dream a ball and put it in your pocket, then try to AP, remember that withing that ball you are dreaming, but in the body that you transferred into is not you, you are still dreaming, and the body that you created is just a vessel that is APing while you are in the dream which is in your pocket <.<!

So i'm in a body I created, my dream body is within the dream which i've put in a ball in my pocket, and then I'm trying to project from this newly created body?

If you ask me, theoretically, I don't think that will have any differing result to just projecting from my original dream body. When I project from a Lucid dream, i leave that dream behind completely and appear by my bed, but as I've said it's choppy and doesnt last in comparison to concious AP. What difference is your method supposed to make? I suppose I could try it, it couldn't hurt, I'll let you know if I manage to pull it off.

it happend to me just a couple of days ago, i AP from LD and i was there next to my bed, i know your problem, for some reason i cant focus enough to maintain myself stable afte APing from the LD.

but the thing about what im telling you is that keeping the idea in mind of keeping alive the dream in a ball while you hang around in astral is that "part of you is dreaming" but not your APing double you "APing double is fine".

Once i was trying to put my self into a thought form, and it was actually working but i didnt know that i was working xDDD because i got REM every time i was transferring myself into the thought form, and i thought that the rapid eye movement wouldnt not let me AP into the thought form, but then two days later i found out that i just had to ignore the REM until i was successfully into the thought  form vessel. Since them i have been wondering how would it feel to be inside one of my thought forms bodies xDDD two head in one body xDD.

Hello Loppoppy, have you read any of the many informative primers here? They will help you to consciously aware Phase. If I were you I would try it from a place different then your bed though, bed is a place we have trained ourselves all our lives for sleep. I awaken quite a bit in Lucid Dreams and also almost every morning now awaken in a dream that I decide to go back and change the result of. But, my favorite way to experience the Astral is Phasing. Xanth and Frank Kepple have excellent techniques on that here. If you haven't yet, I would watch part 5/5 of Tom Campbell's video on YouTube as well.
Good Luck  :-)

I was thinking about the first time I had an OBE and what, if anything, I could tell you that would help. I remembered that it had been a rough couple of nights due to my son constantly waking me prior to my first OBE. I began anticipating his coming into my room so I was sleeping lightly and not so well. I was waking frequently on my own in addition to my son waking me. It was during one of these light sleep spells that I found myself paralyzed and being pulled out of body without trying. After that, I learned about conscious projection. The times that I have been successful, it's been a similar pattern of waking on and off (with my alarm clock first then on my own) until it happens. But instead of anticipating my child to disturb me, I'm anticipating vibrations or a feeling of floating. The last time I projected, my alarm didn't even go off to wake me. I found myself spontaneously floating above my body. I guess because I was anticipating my plan to attempt an OBE that night, I automatically went into one once my body hit that light sleep phase after a few hours of deep sleep. So, in a nutshell, anticipation is what helps me bring about a conscious projection. Maybe try setting your alarm to go off a few times during the early morning hours for a few nights in a row with your only goal being to learn to sleep lightly in anticipation of the next alarm. I hope this helps.
