Had my first OOBE last night!!

  Oh yeah!! Been trying for a year, and finally it happened. It was so crazy! I would like to recount my experience.
I was relaxing and relaxing, thinking about random things, focusing on my breathing and "the noise" My body because really relaxed, I mved into a more comfortable position- I was on my right side when it happened.
I fell asleep- crossed the border between awake and asleep without really realizing it. Suddenly the noise got really really loud, and My head was spinning. I tried not to think, not to judge anything, but to just ride it out. The noise changed into a sucking sound like the sound of someone sucking through a straw. It was as if God himself was sucking my up. I put my awarness twoard my feet, and they got pulled up my body while my head got pulled down. Then Bam- I was out! i literally shot out of my body and could deel myself floating around my room, still spinning and spinning. I was nervous to open my eyes, thinking that it might end the experience. I snuck a peak and saw myself floating under my desk, which i Passed through. A few seconds later I re-entered my body and woke up. It was so amazing.

The technique i used is something I made up myself, the inspiration just came to me while i was relaxing in a meditative state. I pictured my consciousness as a sheet of silver liquid. In my mind the silver was on top, then there was empty space. At the bottom there was a great purple haze of energy that was my sub-conscious. I told my conscious mind that I needed a small part of it that would agree to keep very silent and stay awake. A little drop of silver fell and landed on the purple. It made a little puddle. I let the rest of my silver conscious mind float away and shortly after that I fell asleep and projected.

I am truly so excited and grateful for the experience. Now that I did it once, my confidence is so much higher, i know i will be able to do it again. I can`t wait to open my eyes fully next time and hopefully explore the astral world.

So would this be considered an etheric projection, since you said you opened your eyes and saw yourself flying around your room?(your projection reflected back at you?)

When you 'snuck a peak" while out of body did you
a) open your physical eyes and see your astral/ethereal body floating from the perspective from your physical body or
b) did you have astral vision and see yourself floating from the perspective of being outside of your physical body?

Hey Grey,

I was outside of my body, a few feet away from my physical body which was lying on the bed. So i guess it was my astral vision. Weird thing was i could feel my hands and arms but could not see them. I am going to really open my eyes and take a look around whenever I project again (hopefully tonight!)
