Have you been given a special name or given a mystery?

Hi everyone. Thought I'd probe the forums and ask if anyone has been given a special name while in non-ordinary reality. Take it one step further and please share if you've been told a word you're looking for the meaning of or have been looking for guidance on other missing info/mystery.

Example: I was once told by a earthy/native-type shaman in a cave around a fire that I was to learn the "sacred fire dance" and he shouted "ahoyo!". I have no clue what those are or what they mean. Aho is the only native american word that is close I know of, which basically means "i agree" or "amen", but there was a definite sound at the end. Pronounced like ahoy-oh.

There is lots more I could share, but let's hear it from you!

You have to realize that "words" and "language" are actually meaningless physical reality concepts...
As such, it's not the word that holds the meaning... but is the non-physical Intention behind it that is what's important.

This... is something you might not ever find out.

I'd meditate on it... focus your mind and simply ask the question... then remain open to however the answer comes to you.  :)

Thank you for your opinion. I feel that information is given to us in ways that we can or eventually will comprehend. Not all of it makes sense immediately, but as you say, the more you delve into the mystery and meditate, the more it makes sense. In this way, I find personal joy in the mystical journey of knowledge, so the question is meant for fun discussion regardless of one's belief.

I should clarify here that my stance of "following the white rabbit" is one based on personal experience. I have discovered new ideas and concepts through shamanic drumming/journeying in non-ordinary reality that once I have delved deeper and looked into what was then a mystery, found meaningful connections and explanations. I admit that the possibility of me knowing such information before hand is there, but remote. Honestly, it could have been a dormant sliver of knowledge, though I feel that the journey showed me something that I hadn't known before and once I learned more, new worlds opened to me.

I wasn't questioning the source of your knowledge.  I was providing you with a method with which you can find the answers to your initial post that you haven't been able to get to yet.

You *DO* know everything... well, not consciously, but you do have access to the sum of the information contained as part of the consciousness of this reality and all beings experiencing it.
You're consciousness, and as such, you have access to everything consciousness contains.  You only have to learn how to "listen" in order to access it.  :)

I totally get what you're saying. With respect, you're missing the entire point of this thread, which is to have a discussion on cool mystic knowledge & experience, not how to obtain personal insight on said stuff.  :-D

Xanth explain yourself a little more. He doesn't understand where your coming from.
Cosmic let me try to help a  little with this. In shamanism though it varies in external appearance most cultures agree to the one source philosophy. What Xanth is suggesting is to go closer to that source. Now because we come from different philosophies you'll hear us use different terms.
What I call God he calls the System, the Emerald tablet and the greeks called the One, or the source. In order to find out what your looking for you have to go closer to that One...Basically the method is meditation. Meditation takes on different forms depending on culture. Shamanic trance for example is a form of meditation.
If your following shamanism generally the search is done by vision quest. This is a period of time set aside anywhere from four days to a year to meditate fast and search for the answers your looking for. The total fasting periods are usually not over 9 days. 4 is the norm.  Singing praying, drumming, and dancing are ways of drawing close and wearing down your physical defenses.  In that time your searching to get closer to God which will bring you closer to the answer your looking for.   You have to persist til the answer comes. Now as I said the fasting: only if your healthy and can tolerate it. It's usually without food and in some cases without water. Don't do the total fast without help and supervision someone has to make sure you don't hurt yourself in the process.
Most everyone who has had intense spiritual experiences have some knowledge that is different or special. In some cases it cannot be shared. Knowledge should be checked over time for accuracy. As you get closer to the Source your accuracy and perception will improve and it may change.

Blue and Xanth are right, the mysteries/names revealed to you are based on perceptions of the energies you received.
The thing is, mysteries are more of a personal matter. Even tho we all had a wish to understand certain things in life, everyone takes different ways.
The mystery evolves for everyone into a different one.
Fasting are traditions in shamanic cultures, it's a way to force the answers to come to you by letting everything go.
When you are totally exhausted and you feel like you can't go any longer but you have to continue, your body will shutdown and you will be revealed the vision you needed.
This is a very effective method but it's not recommended unless you are under supervision like blue said.

Don't worry about people who don't answer all your questions on your topic, most people here will try their best to answer you but ultimately, you have to find the answers you seek by yourself. We will try to answer it, but sometimes we need to use other examples to help you find better answers.

For me the mystery was revealed to me as signs that I later understood, tattoos, etc... I had probably one of the weirdest awakening on theses forums. But like I said ultimately you'll find your revelation by reading stuff online, eventually, finding the thing that fits the descriptions of the projection you had. It will be very clear when you understand the meaning of your visions and find you way.

I never had a vision where someone called me another name tho. If I did, I don't remember it. Maybe because I don't care as much about my astral name as to what I am supposed to do down here hehe. Sure it's interesting but it never was a priority for me.
Hope that helps!
And welcome to the forums!
