I try to astral project but I have never really felt real vibrations. I only get tingling and the pins and needles sensation in my legs but I think that is just because me not moving and the blood having difficulty to reach some places. I can feel my body getting pretty heavy and stuff and my hands feel in a pretty different space twisted or or above or below my body. How do I get this vibrations? I pretty much lay down relax listen to the pitch in my ears not thinking. But no vibrations at all. Sometimes I get this feeling as if I was rotating horizontaly counter clockwise. I tried to ask for help from my angel or astral guide but that wont really help until I get the vibrations and I am ready to separate will it? Anyone has some times?

Lionheart

You focus is deeply rooted in your physical existence at the moment (which most people are as well). So because of this you are ultra sensitive to any changes.

The pins and needles you are feeling are likely do to be inactive for a short period, but are NOT the vibrations that can and usually do occur during a AP attempt.

Just to give you my own "Welcome to the NP (Non Physical). I was using the video below and after about 45 minutes of doing what he said, I felt some light vibrations. The vibrations got heavier and heavier. Then I heard what sounded like a Helicopter landing in my room. By now the vibrations were so strong I was convinced there was Helicopter about to crash on our home. It scared the "Beejeebus" out of me" But, I could wait to do that again, lol.

The next time wasn't so extreme though.

You don't need vibrations to AP. Feeling vibrations means that your focus is still on your physical body. You need to come up with some kind of "Mental technique" that takes that focus away. Like for instance, saying a Mantra, or breathing techniques, visualizing, creating story plots. There are all kinds of techniques you can use. You can even create your own personal one. No one knows what works better for you than you!

Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)

Thanks Lion. Will try it out. His descriptions of what I might see kind of freaked me out. And I was over the being afraid stuff.

Loosh

The first time I felt the vibrations it was as wild as a rickety roller coaster, I was like what in the heck is going on and then once I realized what was happening I woke up. The next time they were light and sort of pleasant even.

ToXiPhobia

I feel jealous a little of your guys. You get vibrations easily. I tried to follow the instructions on the video provided but the red dot from the flame just fades out and disappears. :/ Mhmh :/

Just an FYI...
You don't *EVER* need to experience the vibrations in order to project.
It's simply not a requirement.

I know but how do I know I am ready to project then?

When you find yourself somewhere other than where you expect to be... you're projecting. :)

Xanth is correct.  You do not always get vibrations.    You guess and you take a chance.   If you ap you ap and if you do not ap, you do not ap.   I imagine something and that is when I know I can ap if it works.

So If I dont get vibrations nor the floaty feeling do I think of for example being close to sun or looking on earth from space and my vision will activate?

It's a bit more than just "thinking" of it... you have to really place the Intent.  In other words you need to REALLY have the desire to visit/see what it is you're looking to see.
Then yes.

But it's even more than just that... it's about losing yourself physically in that moment.  Allowing yourself to "go".

Sigh...it is really hard for me to try during the day. All those distractions and noises... I can manage to silence the conversations in my head but trying to silence songs is really hard for me. And also I think that my breathing is disturbing me which is really odd because I breathe silently but I suppose my mind makes this Uuuh ahhh sounds when i inhale and exhale. And I read its difficult to try  at night.

For me if I get the vibrations, it feels as though its my head vibrating more than anything else, its usually accompanied by a buzzing sound sometimes quiet and sometimes extremely loud, sometimes the vibrations have felt so strong that it feels as though my teeth are chattering :)

What method are you using? As a novice I have most success from sleeping for around 5 hours, getting up (you should be in that really tired state where you really don't want to get up but force yourself to) stay up for about 15mins and then go back to bed.
Usually I fall asleep for a few mins and then regain my awareness which is when the vibes start.

Hope that helps

I try to listen to the pitch in my ears. Or try to visualize blue sheep and not think about anything just seeing a blue sheep. I would like to try that low sleep method but I am too lazy to wake up in the morning. I might try today. How do you regain your awereness? DOnt you just continue to sleep?

Try holding your breath and observing what that does for your surface thoughts?  :)

When I hold my breath I stop thinking completely. The problem is..I cant hold my breath for 10 minutes or so to achieve the vibrations :P

View your body as a chunk of Swiss cheese with holes all through it. Then ALLOW the sounds to go right through you. Meditation in general teaches you how to not just shut these sounds off, but instead to just watch them go by. Just as it teaches you to ALLOW your thoughts to flow. But not to get caught up in them. When you begin to do this, you will find that they aren't an issue anymore. The deeper you are in a NP focus, the less physical distractions you will encounter. Daily practice will help you greatly with this.

You also always have the option of using a Blindfold for the light and ear plugs or Headphones to quiet the sounds around you during daytime attempts.

I just tried to project. After a while and a slight black out I felt my left hand in a weird position. Guess its nothing releated to astral projection because it didnt feel floaty or anything. It just felt kind of distorted.

I usually lay there just doing some calm breathing and attempting to "notice" any changes in the blackness of my eyelids and then I fall asleep, I then wake up maybe 5mins later but I wake up in the mind-awake/body-asleep state which is when I might experience vibrations (sometimes I don't)

It doesn't work all of the time but it worked a lot for me when I was first starting out, infact I projected the first time I attempted it like the same day I found out about all of this lol and I would often have maybe 2 or 3 a night....

It has slowed down for me now so I have been trying to meditate and try other techniques. Unfortunately I have not yet been successful using any of those other methods.

You can still look for signs, such as, if your body is starting to feel lighter or feels different in anyway.    Your breathing is calmer and more relaxed.   Your mind is starting to feel more relaxed.

ToXiPhobia

Thanks urshe. I will try this tomorrow morning (couldnt do this today because I went to sleep at 4:30 am).

Suzy usually when I get this slight vibrations ,,if they are real vibrations...I start to breathe faster and more shallow.

Astralsuzy

Just assume it is a symptom and try to ap.    It will not do any harm.   Give it time as the first few times we can muck it up.   It sounds like you are close.

Yap. I tried to deepen the feeling. Just every single time I achieve this, something in my room cracks and I dont get scared but I twitch and the state just vanishes.

Lionheart

ToX, It sounds to me like you are at the "hyper awareness state" of this practice. Whereas every new sensation or occurrence knocks you back to your physical focus. It's like two steps forward, one step back.

This also shows that you haven't quite confronted your fears yet. But like a fine wine, it gets better in time.

You need to learn to TRUST, then just RELAX, RELEASE and LET GO. ALLOW what's going to happen to happen.

This is much easier said than done. It takes patience, perseverance and a lot of practice to be successful with AP.

Lionheart gave you good advice.   You need to ignore the twitch feelings and the crack sound.   This is when you have to forget about your physical body otherwise you will not get out of your body.   The process will end.   I know it can be hard to do but that is how it is.
