Voyage to Velis

Hello Astral Pulsers! This is my first time posting around here... I have been looking for people who share the same interest as me in OBEs and lucid dreaming. I have tried to share my experience with relatives, friends, coworkers, facebook friends... some people do seem to have an interest in these things, but most just think this is insane, that I have been doing too much drugs!... The thing is I have been a poly-drugs user for over eight years... this all started when I wanted to explore reality back when I was 18. I had my first sleep paralysis experience a few days after I tried psilocybin mushrooms and started to lucid dream pretty much at the same time. Over the years I went through an hell that I just can't start to describe. Against my will, I have often found myself seeing things from the low astral. When I was addicted to methamphetamine, I took a video of myself undergoing extreme pain... when I checked it, still being in an altered state, I was shocked to see there was a cloud of self-transforming red flammes with an evil expression anchored over my head. It was raging and enjoying the more and the more as I struggled... I came to understand that it was the spirit associated to methamphetamine. Then I just had enough and decided to get off. I have nothing more to be taught by drugs! I went through months of withdrawals from benzodiazepines and opiates. When I started to feel normal again... I went to bed and it happened, the vibrations filled me and I just knew it was my chance to go out-of-body even though I knew nothing about the inner vibes. It is a huge motivation for me to stay drugs free - why would I use drugs when I trip sober? I have been successfull at projecting about 5-6 times. On a few occasions, I could not make out of the vibes; some beings pushed me back in my body or I felt minor or intense pain at trying to do so. Here's my first experience:

Voyage to Velis

I wasn't really tired, but I decided to go to bed to respect my sleeping schedule. I fell asleep quite fast, but then all of a sudden I was filled with a sensation of inner vibrations, a sort of intense buzzing went through all my body. I have no idea why, but I understood that it was my chance to attempt astral projection. It wasn't easy, it was tough, but I was able to free myself from my physical vessel attraction. I found myself next to my bed, but there was nobody to be seen. I floated a little bit around and I went back to the vibrations stage. While making my research about astral projection, I found out that it may be impossible to see your physical body because of the astral frequency on which my consciousness goes when projecting. I also learned that I need to get away from my body as fast as possible to avoid being sucked back by my body magnetism.

I went back to the stage of vibrations about five or seven times. On one occasion, I saw myself lying in bed, but I looked younger and I was wearing my glasses. I seemed like a teenager. I read that it could possibly be my etheric body or something like that, which can take on a very different appearance from my physical body. Every time I had a lot of difficulty in keeping my eyes open. I was often blind and I had to force on my eyes with my hands to see... apparently it is another effect of the attraction of my physical vessel. Next time, I will simply go away from my bedroom as fast as possible. It's exactly what I did next... I went through the roof and found myself outside where I met someone with who I work, but he seemed different, he always had a huge smile. I often meet familiar people with huge smiles in my lucid dreams and they always smile back at me when I tell them they are inside my dreams. "You are wrong, we aren't inside your dream!". I believe they are the higher selfs of my relatives. In any case, I was with this person in what seemed a different landscape in front of my house. They were trees and a lot of things made out of wood. I asked my coworker David how this place was called and he told me I was in "Velis" or something like that. It is a Latin word meaning "you"... but it's also the word used in the "Dievturība", a Neopagan religious movement, which mean (!) astral body. While being with my always and ever smiling friend, I also tried to fly upward, as high as I could, but when I wanted to go higher than the roof of the house in front of me, I became scared. Next time, I will let go because there's no need to be afraid! Fear can only be an obstacle that will enchain me to the low astral.

Returning to the stage of vibrations, I then went out by a sort of panel made out of wood that was in place of the patio glass door behind my house. Once outside, I heard my neightbor little girl shooting "Mama! Mama! Mama!". I decided to call the young girl: "Marie!" and then she started shooting "Mama! Mama! No! He found us!" I thought that she was afraid of me, but then I met a strange creature lurking around. The creature was humanoid, gray in colour with purple lines like some kind of tattoos. It looked a bit like Gollum or Dampé in the Zelda games: http://zeldawiki.org/Damp%C3%A9 It was hairless, skinny and had long arms and legs and seemed strong. It was also tall, maybe about seven feets. I asked him a question and as he was answering, I was took out of my astral projection. I cannot remember the words we exchanged, but I think the young girl was afraid of this creature who looked a lot like the wendigo or some sort of orc. I think he was off to go working, to curve stone maybe because he seemed to be holding a sculpture tool. Also, my neightbor girl is very often shooting out when playing outside, and she is often calling for her mother. I wonder what's going on there...? Otherwise, I remember contemplating the nocturne sky from which I gazed upon a very shiny constellation. It is certain that I will reiterate this experience very soon! And so I did the next night after I started a onieric diary (which was one suggestion I got from a class teacher in a lucid dream) and passed the day reading about astral projection... and that projection was even more profound and beautiful! Listening to astral music is incredible! It sounds so similar to listening to music while on psychedelics drugs... which lead me to think that while in a psychedelic state, the various dimensions of the multiverse overlap within our consciouness.

Well that was my first experience... By the way, every time I come back from the astral, when I turn on the light to take some notes, I can see what I came to call the "rainbow lights", the full specter of the light around light bulbs. I also started to speak with myself in a strange way in the following days... in my mind my tone of voice seems more wise and it tells what's going to happen or what to do (stop smoking cigarettes for example). I love this, it's like I am in touch with my higher self! Lately, I have been trying to meet my guide, to teleport with my thoughts... so far I have been able to fly so high I could see the planet curving. With time I will get the hang of it I know. It's just too bad I relapsed into opiates in the last few months... it totally kill my abilities! I decided to quit because it's killing me to use this stuff... after two weeks, I am almost done with withdrawals. I want to acquire healing into the astral, how is it possible, what should I do? I pray a lot for this to happen. Any comments, tips, anything really would be cool! I really needed to share but I will make sure to read a lot here before anything else! A most interesting OBE and thanx for sharing it here.
Journeys to exotic astral realms like Velis are relatively unusual. This Has happened to me several times but I have never been fortunate to meet a guide there or even to know the name of the place. So I consider you somewhat fortunate in that respect.
The next step for you might be to deliberately return to Velis and to learn more about it. Perhaps there was a reason that you went there?? Maybe there are beings residing there that want to meet you?
People tell me that there is always a reason for an unusual out of body experience. Now that might be true, yet in my OBEs, I have never be able to deliberately return to any of the exotic astral locations which I have visited and actually am still unsure why I was there in the first place??

thanks for sharing this. i've had very few "experiences," and i'm still unsure as to whether or not they were actual OBEs; however, your OBE shared some similarities with mine. i haven't seen any other people or beings other than a single floating head of a man in my room, and he also smiled when i looked at him. and another time, during my most memorable experience, i gazed upon a very detailed night sky which contained two different moons and other vivid stars.

so nothing too shocking, but i figured i'd point out the slight similarities of my few and early experiences.

Hello everyone and thank you for your warm comments! Grey, are you suggesting that the always and ever smiling friend I met could be a guide? In my lucid dreams and my few astral projections, I always meet them! A few years ago, I met one... it was my best friend at the time, but the big smile and the warm attitude, made me realize he wasn't my friend. I asked him "Who are you?". He took my hand in his and as we holded hands he told me "I am you". Everything turned to blackness and I felt a feeling of elevation. That was a very beautiful experience! In any case, I really want to go back to "Velis" as soon as possible. I am still unsure as my purpose on Earth and I want a guide to tell me... well thanks guys for reading and for your comments! Its awesome that you found the link on the internet to that word you got during your OBE.
It happened to me once, but during meditation. I was trying to contact a guide of mine forthe first time and in my minds eye I saw this humanoid, female'ish, blue, shimmering beeing. I also got the feeling that he/she had an Indian connection (like in the country India). Then I tried to ask him/her for a name and I got "Dalu".
When I googled it the only translation I could find after alot of searching was a translation of the word Dalu from Indian - Telugu to English.

I was amazed about the translation. It fited perfectly with what I had percieved during my meditation.
Brilliancy, lustre of complexion, prettiness, a shield. A banner, a flag. - Coincidence? I think not

I think these are to amazing to be coincidenses. I congratulate you to a magnificient journey with awesome finds!

That is a really awesome, I am excited for you. Also, congrats on getting off drugs. I too had some amazing trips where the veil between this realm and the astral were very thin. I also saw some incredible enlightening things, but the fact that some bad trips really put you through hell and the effects these drugs have on your body made me stop. It's almost like taking drugs is just the quick easy way to experience these amazing OBE's, because we are fully capable of doing it sober it just might be a little more difficult. Happy travels!

Yes, that is quite possible. Or, this person could simply be someone who can impart a lot of important info on a one time only basis. This is another type of spiritual guide --- a being attached to one specific astral location not to a particular person.
