Okay, so this happend about a year ago, I wanted to get some opinions on this particular experience. I was lying in my bed attempting to project, I had never done it and this wasn't going to be a projection either but what happend about 30 minutes into the attempt as I was very very relaxed buzzing etc. This harsh voice from my left side about 3 feet up whooshes down and back up on my right side with a whispery rash scary kind of voice saying "The ring, the ring, the ring" 3 times and then went away. Was I reaching clairaudience was I hearing voices from "the other side". I did this another time during one of my attempts but it wasn't nearly as scary of a voice nor startling, I don't even think this entity or voice was necessarily aware of me or was focusing itself on my being, this voice was rather focusing on itself a very hearty deep mumbling kind of voice. Are there any opinions on this? Does anyone else hear the occasional voices when trying to enter the astral?

I think you watched to much "The Ring" to be honest. If the isn't it it was most likely just hypnopompic hallucinations, which are normal when trying to project or when going to sleep.

I'd say it's the "voices of the other side". I've been experiencing much of that prior to OBE and with time have learnt that it's best to ignore it. There is a lot of beings who are not interested in us evolving and experiencing and do their best to scare those who want to try something different than the ordinary 3D life. Loose the fear and send them some love - they'll dissapear in no time.
Good luck!

I don't think it was hallcuinations. The thing about hallucinating is that you see or hear what you think so what makes this different from hallucinating is that I was not thinking my mind was clear with no thoughts. So I would conclude this as something external based on the philosophy of this website. I've only seen that movie once and that was in theaters.
