My First Astral Experience?

Ok, so last night, I was pretty tired, and really couldn't be bothered trying to AP. Yet, for some reason, at some point during the night I think I actually did. I dreamt I was in my room. Well, it sort of resembled my room. The basic elements of furniture were there (bed, desk) but there were a few things missing. Anyway, at some point I became lucid and the dream became ultra vivid, like, I could make out the fine details on things and it was almost to the point where I could have mistaken it for "real life". I wasn't doing anything remarkable, just walking around the room, and, yes, putting clothes away. I was affraid that if I tried to do something cool like fly out through the roof or something, I'd lose concentration and snap out of it. So I pottered around the room for a minute, before I decided to venture out into the rest of the house. I put my hand on the door handle, I could actually feel the cool metal, it was amazing, I even became aware of my "astral limbs" so to speak. Like, not my physical limbs, but... you know. Anyway, I opened the door and stepped out into a pitch black hallway. The only light coming from my room behind me, somewhat illuminating the hallway. But the second I stepped out into it, everything became blurry, very blurry and everything went pitch black. Im guessing I woke up at that point, either that or I had another dream that I don't recall. So I guess my question is, would you call this an actual astral experience? Because it was almost as vivid as looking at my computer screen right now, I could feel my limbs, I could feel the environment around me it just didn't last very long.

If it was, then I'd be pretty damm stoked. I've been trying on and off since... Januaryish. So if it was, then this would have been my first actual experience. Not including lucid dreams, and vivid dreams that weren't lucid.

Tips, advice, comments would be appreciated!

well....... its hard to say.  Usually these things are pretty clear cut.  Your experience sounds like a dream that went lucid AND you going to the RTZ in an projection and then realizing what your astral body was doing half way through.... Any way you dice it your on the right track and should have an actual projection any day now.  Keep it up.

It's the realm that most closely resembles waking reality.
