What this an astral travel?

So, not sure if this was an astral travel or just something that my brain conjured up.
This wasn't a dream I was totally aware that I wasn't dreaming, and this I can say was not a Lucid Dream.
I was standing my a house just aware that I had to wait for someone to come and visit me. All of a sudden someone just floated right down in front of me pretty much appeared and floated down like 5 feet. She looked at me and said hello earthling. I looked this person up and down, not quite sure why but I felt like I knew this person just not sure how or why. I looked over and seen a chair and we both sat down, I looked at this person and asked if they where an alien. To which she replied with a yes, I was even more curious so I looked at her and asked to see her alien form, she told me it would freak me out so she rather not do it. She told me I could ask her any question and she would have the answer to it. So I asked probably the stupidest question I could ask this alien. I asked if there was other intelligent life forms out there, she replied very fast with a yes. I also asked if people had ever traveled to an alien world and she looked at me and said no. She looked at me and said if you would like to see it all for your self you can. I was happy and said yes. She sat very still and didn't even move her eyes and with in a few seconds I was warped to outer space floating right outside of earth. I could see the moon and if I turned around I could see our home planet.
The alien told me I could go anywhere, so I took her word for it and flew right out of our home galaxy. I was flying at a really fast pace, the experience was so amazing that there is no word to explain what I saw. I could see multiple words and thousands and thousands of galaxies. It was just so amazing, I wish I could have been there forever. The alien told me it was time to go back home and I was warped right to the edge of planet earth. As I floated down to earth the alien gave me a amulet and told me I could use it anytime to come and visit her. Was this my spirit guide? Astral Travel?

It sounds like a guided tour. The thoughts you had before this will tell you more. If the trip or something related was part of your thoughts it may have been manifested for you.

Hi there GodlySmith, welcome to the forum.

Let me address something quickly... from reading the first bit of your post, you've seemingly put yourself into the usual narrowly-focused "this is what an astral projection is" box.  I'd highly suggest tossing that box aside and opening your mind to other possibilities.  I've found that most people have too narrowly defined their projection experiences.

You were in the non-physical AND you were "totally aware"... what I assume you mean by "totally aware" is that you were YOU.  You had what I call a "waking awareness".  A waking awareness is the awareness you have right this very second while reading this post.  You're awake... you're aware of who and what you are, with full recall of all your physical life and memories.  THIS is a waking awareness.

When you have a waking awareness in the non-physical, it *IS* an astral projection.  Or as I call it a "non-physical astral awareness experience", because projection isn't something you DO, it's a state of consciousness you ARE.  There's a big difference in those two statements.

That was most definitely a projection... and as Szaxx said, that sounds like it was one hell of a nice guided tour. 
You met an entity of "some" kind.  Was it your spirit guide?  No clue really.  We have no way of knowing or verifying anything you experienced... so for now, just enjoy the fact that you had a great consciously aware experience in the non-physical and saw some really cool stuff.
