DayTripper

Hello All,

I've been practicing AP for almost a year now, I practice as much as I can although sometimes I stop for a while. My recent experiences have been the closest I've had, I am able to reach a trance state fairly quickly, and then I use the method of focusing on a day dream, phasing I guess. At random points when im so lost in the daydream that i forget what I'm doing i feel a rush come over my body and I think im phasing into the dream but then nothing. I can usually get to that point 2 or 3 times but never seem to fully experience an OBE. I also try doing the rope method but none of the exit techniques seem to work for me. Today I reached a point where I needed to swallow and I tried and it was like nothing happened, like I was disconnected from my physical body, and yet I still could not experience the astral plane. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone give me some pointers? I'm getting very discouraged.  :-(

Thanks!!!

Hello Daytripper, don't get discouraged. Stay the course and you will reach your goals. I Phase twice a day and never once have I needed to "climb out of the body". That is the reason I chose to Phase, I found the typical "climbing out of the body" technique way too much focus on the physical body for my liking. You are in the Astral when you are getting lost in a Daydream. Phasing is changing your focus from the physical to the Astral. How you do it doesn't matter as long as you are losing your physical focus. You can use mantras, count from 1-100, use Binaural Beats/Isochronic Tones, etc.. I like the Bin Beat/Iso tones myself. After a couple of minutes listening I just create a image and let it grow. It could be an adventerous one like flying in the mountains or a calm one like sitting by a river just watching the water flow in the gentle current. One technique that I have found lately to be of great help is talking to myself about what I wish to accomplish, my intent.
Here is a video that will help you attain that focus. It's pretty extreme, but it works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sxvb9pgkrvI&feature=related
Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)

Hey Day-tripper!

Stop phasing attempting at night.

I say time and time again and again. Conscious exit OBE's are the practice of people progressing from intermediate to advanced. Newcomers are not ready for them ready for them yet.

Do a drowsy exit OBE. Yeah it takes discipline, but common. How bad do you want this?

This will show you what the phasing process feels like. It'll allow you to find it easier when you do these night attempts and make more progress.

To add to that:  Do it in the early morning, when half of the battle (going into trance) is solved.

Thanks for the tips. I have tried in the morning but I always seem to fall asleep, I'm not much of a morning person. I'll just have to keep practicing to not fall asleep. I'm really hoping to get the experience soon, it sounds incredibly beautiful and has always interested me. All your comments are greatly appreciated  :-)

So many people don't understand that only 1% of your mind is in your body to start with and all you need to do is focus away from your 5 senses, until you accept these simple truths you will always struggle against your programming

Could you explain what method you use to focus away from your 5 senses? Do you stare at the blackness in front of your eyes, daydream? I think that may be one of my big problems, I can't stop paying attention to whats happening physically because I feel like those are the indications of projection.
