Some of you know me from years ago. In 2002 I learned to move things with my mind, which you can see in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKJGb4RNRB4 I met some of you in a mental way (you might call it "astral" but the word is not well defined) many times, including in the place we mentally created called Astral Pulse Island.

I forgot most of your names, but I remember some of what happened. I might have thought I just imagined it, but some of you told me about what I did and I remembered. I think Tayesin was one of them (I read from my old posts)...

Astral Pulse Island has a pyramid. We were inside it (I forget how we got there) and It was dark inside the large room. I saw a gold colored statue of a sitting elephant. I saw some of you as colored blurs of light. Most of the people who were mentally at Astral Pulse Island could not get into the pyramid. They were flying around outside it. Some were on the ground. Its kind of like a party, but in a telepathic and blurring of reality way. One of you asked me what the thing was that I saw as a statue. I said "I don't know, but I'll figure it out." I took the statue apart into 50 pieces. The pieces were floating in the air and circling around each other. I quickly put it back together and said "It's a light switch." I didn't know how it turned on the lights at the time, but when I activated the light switch, the top of the pyramid (which was the roof of this big dark room we were in) lifted up and I don't know what happened to it after that. Then those who could not get into the pyramid found it easy to get in. I came back a few times other days and found the top of the pyramid was back, but what remained was the ability to easily get into that room inside the pyramid.

Astral Pulse Island is something the people of this forum made up, and through a lot of telepathy and other paranormal stuff, we slowly caused it to have some reality. It became a place we could mentally go to interact with each other, and after it, we would talk to each other through chatrooms or this forum to verify we had seen the same things, and we had seen the same things too often for it to be our individual imaginations alone. I helped to create Astral Pulse Island in 2002.

If any of you want to find me there again, try to mentally connect to the gold colored statue of a sitting elephant (the light switch, controls the top of the pyramid), because that is where I had the strongest interaction. In theory, that association should be enough even though I haven't thought about it for years.

I've come back to this forum to explain some theories and science experiments that explain some of the paranormal/astral/whatever-you-want-to-call-it things we do, and after that I'll explain something I'm working on thats kind of like Astral Pulse Island but is more connected to this part of the universe (often called "physical"). Through some advanced psychology and artificial intelligence software, and a network of many people using it through the internet, observing statistics of their thought patterns and adjusting its responses to influence them in certain ways... I think that I can create a global telepathy network, and various similar mental abilities. I do things the normal way at my job, but on my own time I'm a mad-scientist.

I'll explain more about these theories and experiments and plans for the future of the Human species in later posts. For now I just wanted to see if anyone remembers me or these things I wrote about, like what happened at Astral Pulse Island or how we created it.

Hi there Beavis,

Welcome back to the Astral Pulse.  :)

I look forward to reading those later posts.

Haha, hi Beavis, I remember you from back in the day.

Several of the old major posters have returned, including Nay, Tayesin, who is off and on, Tvos, and others. Still missing Frank, Noleaf, and MajorTom.

I remember your videos about spinning tin foil wheels under glass

Welcome back!

Welcome back!
The good Major has been back in spurts. :)

Naykid

Yes, MajorTom has been here, but he's a bit busy with his own website, http://www.explorations-in-consciousness.com/forums/index.php  There are a few oldies there.  :-)

And now...Beavis.   Holy cow, you little shite!  How have you been?   :-D

beavis

Naykid, I've been Insane In The Membrane... In the years since I left this forum, I've been building software, learning artificial intelligence, and things like that. Now I'm 1 of the few rare people who simultaneously has technical and paranormal skills. What will happen when I combine them?

beavis

I said "I'll explain more about these theories and experiments and plans for the future of the Human species in later posts." Here's the summary of it (I'll post details later):

Greytraveller

Hi Beavis
Yeah, I remember you. Good to see you've returned.
Have you been back to Astral Pulse Island?
I've tried to get there several times yet can't seem to do it. If ever I do get there then I'll look for that elephant statue.

testing

well, what happened to the picture of the Island?

Hi beavis, I know you  :-D

beavis

Greytraveller: I was much more skilled at that kind of thing in 2002. These days its hard to tell the difference if I just imagined it or if it has any reality to it. I have to learn through observing statistics of my thoughts. But for the mad-science things I'm building, I only need to know how it works and remember what I did, so I can automate the process for a lot of people and computers at once. These days paranormal things happen at random times more often than when I try, like a few months ago I accidentally knocked a 2 foot piece of the drywall ceiling (which had been cracked for years) down by thinking a certain thing.

testing

thanks beavis...wouldn't it be easier to meet up in a place that already exists in waking reality?

beavis

testing

so... you don't think it's worth it for people to meet somewhere on earth? I said it would be easier not easy.

beavis

I meant its better meeting at Astral Pulse Island (or other places outside our normal reality) because of what we can do there, how it works, and what we learn from it.

Not sure what this means. I don't see a gold elephant anywhere on the API picture so how could I possibly connect to it? I'd imagine having about the same luck trying to stick a plug into a wall outlet while totally blindfolded and unaware of my surroundings.

The golden elephant is something Beavis apparently created and left behind "inside" the pyramid.  If you go there and see it, you'll know you're in the right place. :)

Ohhh, gotcha. Thanks for clearin that up...

beavis

When I got there the gold colored statue of the elephant appeared to already be there. Maybe I just made that part of Astral Pulse Island stronger, or maybe I put it there and didn't know it (which is common in the way minds work). Its hard to know which parts were real and which parts were illusions created by my brain, but after talking to Tayesin and a few others who say they were there with me, I know at least the gold statue of the elephant and the big room it was in was seen by others.

The picture of Astral Pulse Island is only the first idea to put in your head so your thought patterns align to others, so when paranormal things happen they are organized in a way we can experience together. You could just as easily use a random picture or word or anything else. It doesn't mean where it takes you is anything like that. It is what we make it merged with what was already there.

Welcome back beavis !

Pretty good TK video you have similar in quality to those of youtuber darrylsloan.

Like you I've been studying AI secretly. AGI would be more correct term. There are only a handful of people in the world who know this 3 letter word, its a big thing. Also I'm secretly keeping an eye on transhuman stuff and singularity stuff, which are somewhat more popular these days.

The purpose of getting into AGI is to know the possibility of creating an artificial consciousness like our own. (whether it is physical or non-physical is not of any concern). Or how to get something closely resembling it using machines. Other purpose is to study the possibility of transferring our consciousness to non-organic substrates, so that we are freed from the need of dying.

I've not yet tried going to API seriously, but now that you have recharged this forum, I will ....
I just got an idea of creating a 3D version of API, something like a game. I have a good command on 3dsMax to create realistic models and know enough programming to put it into an open source 3D engine like Irrlicht. So we will have a game (just like Secondlife) where we can put stuff that is there on real(?) API, so that you can walk around the virtual API and train your mind to do it while in Astral. Much better than a photoshopped picture you have now.
I'd like to know if you or anyone else here is interested in this....

beavis

Why secretly?

I'm 1 of those rare people working on AGI (Artificial General Intelligence). I chose the user-interface of realtime interactive music so it could access subconscious psychology easier. Most people think I chose music because its mainly a music program and I don't plan for it to become really advanced. They see things in the context of how businesses do things, usually giving up on major improvements the first time they find a way to repeatedly make profit. AGI means you don't stop making it more advanced until it is the one doing the programming instead of you.

"There are only a handful of people in the world who know this 3 letter word, its a big thing."

I met some of them when I lived in California. They tend to think I'm nuts because of the psychic/paranormal/etc stuff. I'm logical like them, but I have other ways of thinking too, more on the experimenting side instead of calculating. Ben Goertzel is the only one I know of who is working on AGI and also thinks of ways to possibly create an AGI that has psychic abilities. I recently responded to some of his writing here http://hplusmagazine.com/2011/01/18/is-god-an-alien-mathematician (Submitted by Ben F Rayfield on February 6, 2011 at 3:21 am.) but the writing about AGI and psi is various parts of http://multiverseaccordingtoben.blogspot.com

I don't know if API is still there, since I haven't been there in years and am not as skilled as I used to be at navigating out there or going out there at all. A 3d version of Astral Pulse Island (API) would probably become a subject of argument about which things are and are not there, since naturally API is not 1 place but a lot of versions of it that gravitate together depending on who is there at the time. Its part of the multiverse. Creating a simulation of it could confuse people more. The entry point is supposed to be thinking about the picture at http://astralpulse.com/astralpulseisland.html Extra entry points would not be a problem, but I don't know if your simulation would be an entry point to API or to something else.

I thought about making an API with Hammer editor but I decided against it since I only kind of know what the front of it looks like.

I figured it would be easier to try and create an astral version of a game environment that I already know inside out. I used to try and phase into the de_dust and dust2 maps from counter-strike source. There are so many people out there who know those maps intimately that it might be relatively easy for us to make an astral version if enough of us got together.

Nono, that's a great idea!
Adds your own personal flare to it.  That should actually increase your chances of visiting API.  You'll just perceive things in your own personal way.  :)

Summerlander

Hi, I'm Summerlander! I'm a mod in Astral Viewers. I think I've been to this island. I think I also saw Frank Kepple there building things. My experience is on AVers.
