Dreams of Future Events?

Was wondering if anyone is experiencing dreams of future events. In particular I am interested if anyone is having dreams of earthquakes, especially in California. Reason I am interested is because Drosnin in his original Bible Code book published a matrix which indicated a major earthquake for Los Angeles California in 2010. This doesn't mean it will happen, only that it is a probability. In any event, would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I once dreamt one of my friends having an accident in a soccer game. The next day i tell him this, and he says he was playing a friendly match that day against another team. Of course, i didnt know anything about this match.
Nothing happened to him.

I think it is not possible to dream about the future, but maybe you can see the future in other ways...

Isn't there a major fault line under California?  Well, I hope they are well prepared!  When's the last one they had one?  Scientists should be able to predict how long before the next one should be.

There are many ways to see the future.  Humans need to sharpen up.   :-P

Here's an interesting link from Newscientist:

http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn19712-is-this-evidence-that-we-can-see-the-future.html

Also, dreams may facilitate precognition...

Let's take a look at the evidence for psychic dreams. How strong and credible is this evidence? Is there a collective unconscious that connects us all? Can dreams transcend space and time?

THE EVIDENCE:

Apparently, when people start comparing dreams on a regular basis, telepathic links are seemingly uncovered. If these "telepathic links" are a product of coincidence, then this sort of coincidence happens quite a lot! What's more, sometimes dreams seem to display the reverse of memory...precognition!

Joe Friedman conducted experiments involving Dave Ashworth, a young man at the time who undertook a parapsychology course in London in the late 70s. It was observed that while vague dreams tend to be a recap of events, memories or thoughts that one had during the day, 'psychic' dreams tend to be vivid or have a distinctive 'feel' to them. In the majority of these peculiar dreams, a "tracer" was found which appeared to denote its psychic nature to the dreamer. In Ashworth's dreams, the tracer was a grey cat. Other individuals had different tracers such as the dream happening in an environment perceived to be a place of power. To read more about Joe Friedman's experiments with "psi", click on this link:

Then there is the case of the Temiar Senoi tribe in the Malay Peninsula. These people are experts in shared dreaming. You can read about them and other dream experiments here:

In the 70s, a mass telepathy experiment was conducted involving the audiences of a rock band called the Grateful Dead. Their audiences were asked to telepathically 'send' a picture of the seven spinal chakras to psychic Malcolm Bessent while he lay asleep at the Maimonides laboratory every time a picture of him was projected briefly on to a screen at the concert. Bessent described a dream where natural energy was used; an "energy box" to catch sunlight; someone levitating; and a spinal column. Now look at the picture that was used and supposedly sent to him:

This is a compendious guide on how to find ESP in dreams...

HOW TO DO IT:

1. Remember as many dreams as you can in as much detail as possible. If you abnegate the possibility that some dreams are psychic, you might as well not even start this as you won't be able to carry out the first step with necessary convition and as a result, you will never know whether your vivid/peculiar dreams are telepathic, precognitive, retrocognitive or not.

2. Keep a notebook at your bedside so you can jot down what you remember after waking up. There is a lot of good advice in Quinqua's introductory guide in www.astralviewers.com even though it was mainly intended for OOBEs.

3. Go over what you remember in your mind and eventually you'll be able to recall a lot more of the same dream. In the lab, subjects were being woken up deliberately from the REM stage of sleep. You may wish to set up a similar experiment where someone observes you while you sleep. If you choose to wake up on your own and you don't remember much or nothing at all, go over the thoughts you had upon waking as they are likely to lead you back to the dream.

4. Carry the notebook with you during the day in case you remember more dream scenes. Sometimes they come to you without warning!! Write down every single detail that comes to you, anything at all even if you don't think it's important.

5. Write the dreams in as much detail as possible and whoever you are conducting the experiment with should do the same as you. The final stage is to compare dreams over a certain period and to also look for waking life associations. Resemblances between your dreams will definately occur. In some instances, dreams may allow you to glimpse future events. It is entirely up to you to decide whether some of your most vivid/peculiar dreams are "psychic" or an abundance of coincidences is manifesting the more you connect with your dream life.

I've been predicting the future a lot lately.  Maybe like 5minutes to an hour before the event happens.  Seriously, like multiple times a day lately.
be awesome.

Quotea rock band called the Grateful Dead.
You made me feel really old with that one.  You mean there are people who don't know who the Grateful Dead are?  Do they think Jerry Garcia is an ice cream flavor?  Oh noes!
The other day my son was wearing a Black Sabbath t-shirt and one of his little girlfriends asked him who they were.
But I digress.  Please go to the OP.

That's Cherry Garcia.
Named after GD's Jerry Garcia, which was my point.

Yea I had a young customer the other day who was talking about Ozzy and I told them that I liked that old Sabbath kind of rock better and the kid was like "wtf does that have to do with Ozzy?!".  I just sighed and said "nevermind, i was mistaken to include myself in this conversation".
be awesome.

First time poster here. I've been reading a lot of posts on dreams lately. I've had dreams lately just as I wake up, I'm in between waking and sleeping. I'm talking to myself as the dream unfolds (it seems crazy to me). I'm from Wisconsin so  I'm a GreenBay Packer Fan. I had a dream days before the NFC Championship Packer Bear game with the Packers winning, (of coarse they did). Also the superbowl game, which I was watching parts of the game while in a dream. When I woke up the score was 21 to 3 Packers. I didn't get to the final score so I didn't know the outcome of the game. In that game the Packers did lead 21 to 3 early in the game. So I thought wow is this real or is it just a coincidence. Now my latest dream there was a man in a big pit with an Earth Quake taking place and a voice telling me it will take happen when the San Francisco Giants play there baseball home opener. Hope its wrong and it's all in my head.

I had a precognitive dream that I will soon post in the Dreams section. It was either precognition or a strikingly coincidental dream...

I once dreamed that I had woken up and was writing down a dream that I had. Lol. I was disappointed when I woke up because I had written down a lot in my dream and was going to have to write it again.  :|

Oh man! That's so bad! I would have been peeved! Just the right time to have a false awakening, eh?

Btw, here's an example of dreaming about the future... hypothetically speaking:
