Hey Manix [^]

Over the years I've had close to a hundred tornado dreams, sometimes several tornados circling me at once.  Out of all those dreams, only one tornado actually tore up the house I was in, but did no harm to me.

Two years ago, I had several tornado dreams in a row...then in real life we had one touch down 1/4 of a mile away. [:O]  It was quite fasinating to look at, the clouds were rushing by, roof level and were lit up with the constant lightening.

I kept telling my hubby to get up and come look, only to have him peek through one eye at me like I was crazy..Hehehehe.

I'm not quite sure what the dreams mean, except maybe I'm surrounded my chaos.. heck just check out the news. [:(]

And I'm not sure about the ghost from Carnivale coming to haunt your sister..not even sure that is possible..[;)]

I personally wouldn't look to much into the dreams...but that is just me. [^]

It's not the dream in general that bothers me. It's the possibility I was wrong in the interpretation of the tornado symbol. The last few weeks have been sheer bliss. I can actually sleep through the night without waking up in a cold sweat. Something I haven't done in 5 years as least. But even if the interpretation was correct and they are still tied to my relationship with my sister. How do I get rid of them? It's starting to look like simply acknowledging them for what they are is not enough to disempower them completly. They are the only thing that ever stands in my way from simply enjoying a dream. Before I gathered enough courage to confront them I was afraid to even look at the sky in my dreams, for fear of seeing one. Even if there weren't any any sight, there would be if I looked at the sky. Now that I've had a taste of freedom, so to speak, going back to being paranoid is an unhappy notion. I need to fix this or find a way a deal with it.

Maybe I was only partially wrong about the origional interpretation. The tornados may indeed have something to do with my sister, but maybe I was too quick to connect their reasoning with the actual emotions between us. Maybe they represent something else about her. In the initial confrontation they said "We are here at no fualt of your own, but becuase of your sister." This is nerve racking, if they don't embody the malice I feel for her, then what could they represent?

Simply acknowleding and asking God (or whomever you believe in) to take them away WILL help!

And facing the fear, will also make it go away.. I mean, once your indifferent to the fears, what's left for it?  You no longer are feeding it.

Or maybe I'm missing your whole point...[:P]

Your not missing the point at all, in fact I think you're closer to solving this that I am.
Asking God to eliminate them for me switched on a light bulb. The tornados are there for a reason, one I need to work out. "The Something Wicked This Way Comes," may simply be a warning. The 20 minute warning may emphasize this notion. As would the old friend (from the past) coming to warn us. My sister being there and referring to ghosts; things of the past coming back to haunt her and then warning me not to make the same mistake. The black and white figure (though a little 80's !!! ALSO past!!!) Crawling out of an old <~~~!!!!TV set. I'm seeing a theme here, putting it all together isn't going to be fun. Then there's the digging through junk that shouldn't be there because it was sold LAST week.
Then there's the tornado symbolism; the creature like tornado on the set, and the overwhelming threat on the horizon that I'm too cowardly to deal with. This is pointing somewhere and I think it's just too obvious to see! Dad saying he's hanging around a bit before running away...Hmmm Maybe the tornadoes aren't coming back, maybe they're are simply wanting the rest of the mystery solved. Thus I'm sub- consciously NEEDING the rest of the mystery solved and am creating the new tornado scenarios as a result. In other words, they represent something I have no control over that my sister instigated that bothers me on a sub conscious level, but they exist because I haven't solved the problem or even came close to pinpointing it.

There has to be an event that I simply can't remember that this whole mess ensued from and created a snowball effect. If that's the case; if I could remember the event and get past it, the rest of the related problems would start to disintegrate, hypothetically. Remember that event, possibly blocked from memory is not going to be easy to find.

I have had a few dreams where I've seen mini tornados in the room with me, the room was white, and I would be on a bed in the room. But I haven't had these dreams for a long time now. Maybe tornado dreams are more common than we think?

More common than we think more frequent than I would like.
A some what pleasant note. The dreams I have resurfacing are not of the same genere as the previous. These do not seem particularly directed at me. Before, the blasted things would race right for me. Now, they're just there, acting like a 'normal' dream symbol should. I'm seeing more of the sky now than the actual tornado. Unusual colors and a general feeling that something is wrong and should be corrected rather than the previous feelings of utter fear.

It was partly the same for me, as in the tornadoes would never go for me, they would just fly around the room, they would be white and fairly small. I used to be frightened of them though until one day I woke up from a dream involving tornadoes, and told myself that they couldn't hurt me. Then the tornado dreams stopped. There must be a meaning attached to them though.

This sounds like dream progression to me. Another opinion I have is that tornadoes or funnel clouds may represent chakras, or their activity in some way. I can't say for sure, just my own ideas. Thanks for the follow up on your dreams. It helps to understand more.

In other words, the behaviour of the tornadoes reflect the state of your chakras. Is that what you mean?

After much work and inspiration from the "Something Wicked This Way Comes" dream, I've completed the following. No longer the rough and messy pic I had origionally posted. One of the few origional paintings I've completed in awhile, even if it is a photoshop creation. This one is dedicated to all you wonderful people here at the Astral Pulse who've helped me so much. Thanks guys.

Manix,
Thanks for the present, very nice. [:o]

G3MM4,
I've only had one tornado dream. It was a different kind of dream from what I am use to having. There was a woman dream character in it who had given me the spooks when I first dreamed of her about a year ago. The dream a year ago had a scary feel about it. This later dream with her, gave me this same feel.

The last dream with her and a tornado in it:
This older woman talked about getting out of school and continuing her education. She then takes this airplane for somewhere. The airplane she's in, flies into a tornado. I'm standing on the ground. I asked the person standing next to me,"Is she really taking off in this plane with this tornado going on"? The person next to me said yes.

When I woke up, I felt weird. It's was a sense of fear or dread. My life took a little tipsy turfy turn for a few weeks after that. Now things are good again. The details don't matter, but it involved a death of someone and my health at the time. My health is fine now.

So, it is possible a tornado may have something to do with health. I'm still unclear about the sudden death of someone I knew. The death was my doctor(someone took off), I survived. It was a weird twist of events.

I wanted to add a little note of synchrony:
I'm going to my daughter's graduation. Her dad is stirring up some trouble.

Manix, do you think the movie "Something Wicked This Way Comes"is a good one to see? Is it a good movie, in other words?

ImmuredSoul, has the film of the tornado in minnie's backyard been found yet? [:)]

"Manix, do you think the movie "Something Wicked This Way Comes"is a good one to see? Is it a good movie, in other words?"

Actually I can't remember. It's been a very long time since I've seen this movie. It always gave me the creeps becuase it had this scene in it about a Ferris Wheel that ran backwards and the people that rode would gradually age and turn into corpses. I can't remember how old I was, but THAT part gave me nightmares lol. I rented it again a couple of years ago just for THAT scene and it wasn't there. However, I think for the time it was made it was a good movie.

Glad you liked the pic.

I gave the main explanation of the tornadoes Here: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11832

But for those who don't want to read all that, I've been seeing tornadoes in my dreams since sometime in high school, a few weeks back I challenged them to find out what they meant. They pointed to my sister. We have a tense and not quite honest relationship. Well, after that the tornadoes vanished completely. Then my sister started showing up in the dreams in place of them. At first she was just a background character and actually friendly then she became her old aggressive self again, in the dreams. Now, for the past week I've been seeing tornado related phenomena. First it's just glimpses of things that resemble tornadoes. And now, last night, I had the one of the worst dreams yet, more so because I was lucid and thought I had this worked out.

The dream started as kind of a ghost story centered on the "Something Wicked This Way Comes" Movie. In the dream I walk into a room where my sister and her friends are watching a movie. I see it as SWTWC, even though the scene on the screen is not from the movie. It is a swirling spiral shaped mass of dust that spirals high into the sky. Before I look away from the TV, a set of jaws emerge from the part of the spiral cloud and open toward the sky.

Here's a quick (messy) rendering:

I think of it as the carnival from the movie arriving in a fantastically weird and scary manner. My sister then tells me I shouldn't watch it because she had only watched a part of it and her house was now haunted with the same ghosts from the movie. I look back toward the screen and see a black and white figure crawl out of the TV. The Man remains in Black and white and walks towards me. He has an afro...
Anyway...And old friend runs through the room and tells us we should start packing. I look outside and see the sky is a nasty tint of yellow and green. The old friend mumbles something about another tornado that swept through the area yesterday, and refers to this one as its sister. He tells us she will run right through the town leaving nothing in its wake. My sister and I go to our room and start packing a few things. I start thinking about listening to the news to see what's happening. My Dad walks in and tells us they've issued a 20 minute warning. He then says he will wait around a bit to see what it (the weather) does, but in ten minutes, we're out of here. I continue to pack. I want to take only what's necessary but the important things are under piles of junk. I set my guitar into the back of the car, and a few other things. I realize I'm digging through things that sold in the yard sell I had last weekend. I become lucid when I see I have way too many guitars. This is when I realize that the tornado problem had been solved. So why are they here? I think about staying and confronting the tornado to ask it just that, but a second glance out the window and I know this is going to be something huge, something so overwhelming; it's certainly not going to stop in its tracks to listen to me. However, rather than waking myself up and running away from it entirely, I drop the things I'm packing and simply get in the car with my sister. I want to watch and see what happens. We drive away from the storm and I wake up on my own anyway.

Any ideas as to why the tornadoes are coming back so suddenly? They seem to be much more threatening than they were before, not to mention, bigger.
