ummm im not sure on this one, it could be half lucid, or it might just be sleep walking and talking. my grandma did the same thing with her uncle accept she did it on pourpouse, she put his hand inn warm water and started asking him questions and he would answer them. it sounded pretty funny, but are you saying she sung while she was asleep or awake? because you said she went into the bathroom and woke up with that expression on her face after she sung and stuff, your post is kind of consing but i get it a little, it sounds to me that she slept walk. its pretty amazing for a person to write a song on paper in her sleep i mean if she did. well give me a reply and well sort this sleep thing out. bye[8D]

Hi-From what i understand of lucid dreaming, what you described is not.  She was basically answering your questions, like in hypnosis, but she wasn't actually controling her dream, otherwise you would have gotten a fairly odd response.  Maybe you should try a search oh the upper right hand side of this page for Lucid Dreams?  I'm not an expert, but this does not sound like a lucid dream.[]

Yes, it really sounds as if you were talking to her subcounsciousness, not to her consciousness. That's not a lucid dream. It sounds like hypnosis, but there are other states of the mind that can lead to that. I remember when my mother fainted and lost conscious, she then started talking all kind of things I could not understand, and when she came back (when she was given oxygen by the ambulance men) she said she never said anything. So there are probably states similar to hypnosis, and these might be reached maybe during the sleep cycle. She probably did not sound like herself when she spoke to you, that was because it was the other part of herself that is usually "hidden" to everyone (and to herself). Usually people don't talk to others when they are sleeping, because none expect an answer, but I am sure if you talk more than once and at different moments to someone who is sleeping, s/he might answer without remembering it after that when awake.

I don`t understand this. The other night I was at a sleepover with 4 of my friends, We were going to pull a prank on one of them so we stayed awake for awhile. The after an hour or so my friend (Kait) started to gron and squirm the she screamed and started to cry. She told us she had a nightmare, we understood and let her relax for a bit and she was really tired and afraid to go back to sleep cause she thought the nightmare would continue. So we told her to think of something happy. and she told herself a story outloud to us about this boy she liked and she drifted asleep. After 5 min she started to mumble like she was trying to talk but words wern`t coming out. after 5 min every thing we said to her she repeted then then she started to answer them. We knew that the story she told herself she thought it was real and for example she said the dog they had got hit by a car ( she was still awake at this time) we said remember the dog and then she started to cry and said the dog is dead and this boy she thought about diden`t like her in return but he was one of her good friends. and she started saying things like Don`t go please don`t leave me, I opened my heart to you I know you loved her that bit**. And we were trying to wake her up we shook her put a cloth on her face every thing we could think of but nothing worked NOTHING!!! and after a while she sung the most beautful song I ever herd and she is a good singer. after she finished the song we asked her to sing it again and she said she coulden`t cause it was from her heart. and we even got her to write on paper..She was still asleep and she told us she had to go to the bathroom when she opend her eyes she had the look like where the fu** am I and she was still sleepin after she came more aware she was talking to us like she was awake be we could tell she was still asleep when she fianlly woke up she said her head killed

Is thid lucid dreaming or id it something else if you could please tell me that would be greatly apprecited thank you so so much!!!! []
