I had 2 very short lucid dreams last night.  They didnt last much longer than a few minutes.
Only weird thing is I live in a condo with a pool, but I projected towards a swimming pool that did not at all look like the pool we have downstairs.

So that doesnt make sense at all. I have to wonder who's pool I projected to  :?

I was flying quite nicely though, just zooming around in the air  :-D

That's great, I envy you!

I think your sub-conscious created it.  :-)

Congratulations! By the way, you projected to a metaphysical replica of your abode. This is typical of 2nd phase OOBEs. The environment has nothing to do with the physical realm perception. It is a world made of thought. Even space there is thought-conceived, can be changed and has nothing to do with space or distance in the waking life realm.

Thats the part that bothered me, I wanted to fly around the universe and visit actual real places, not some stupid stuff I created in my own mind.

But thank you Timandra, you totally ruined that now  :-P   :-D

So how do I know the next time I project somewhere if its a real place, or not something I made up in my own mind??!!

Have an OBE into the RTZ! Instead of a lucid dream...  And still, even then there may be things you make up with your own mind.  :-)

You should be careful about what you dismiss as products of your mind in that realm.  :-P

But most just flail around in the blackness, searching for their destiny...
The darkness... For me... Is where I shine.

In case you guys were wondering, I used the 2nd method Raduga mentions in his book.

I copied it below:

Quote

OBSERVING IMAGES

Immediately after waking from sleep, remain motionless,
eyes closed. Observe the blank space behind the eyes for 3 to 5
seconds and try to locate recognizable pictures, images, or
symbols. If nothing appears during this exercise, the technique
should be substituted. If something appears, continue to passively
observe the images. Meanwhile, the images will become
increasingly realistic, literally enveloping the practitioner.

Do not aggressively examine the details of the image, or it will vanish or
change. The image should be experienced as a panorama, taking
everything in. Observe the images as long as the quality and
realism increases. Doing so yields two possible results: the
practitioner becomes part of the surroundings, and has achieved
the phase, or the image becomes borderline or absolutely realistic,
and separation from the physical body is possible

If you shoot at a barrel of fish enough times, you're gonna eventually hit one.  :)

The replicated abode is always built from your expectation. But this expectation is inaccurate. By moving away from this abode and pushing away any lingering thoughts you may find yourself in constructs that are completely unfamiliar and seemingly impossible to change. These constructs are the ones I highly suspect that are not our own.

The experience is always real, in fact it can feel realer than real or hyper-real. It is only a question of where you are focusing: whether on a personal or collective level. Exploring is a good technique because it may lead you to see the "wider astral" so to speak.

There are many amazing things you can do in the metaphysical. Have you read Kepple's Wider Reality? I think that guy was spot on and a lot of what he describes tallies with my experiences. Try not to worry so much about where you will project. Any projection is an "out-of-body experience" in the sense that your conscious focus has disassociated from the atonic physical body and is now focusing on a realm beyond our current understanding.

So far we have spoken about, metaphysical projections (dreams, lucid dreams, astral projection). The other type is in the here-now physical reality (Focus 1 oC) and these are hard to come by because they tend to be induced from deep sleep paralysis states. They are also quite distinct from metaphysical projections in that, apart from being typically short-lived, you usually perceived them from a floating point of consciousness rather than a "dream body" that resembles the physical one. In focus 1, however, one can manifest a shadowy body too and, as in NDEs, you can phase into the metaphysical from there (Focus 2, 3 and so forth according to Kepple).

Also, vision and movement is different in Focus 1. It tends to start off as gradual movements into 'frames of space' but you actually feel like you can teleport anywhere. Colours are duller and vision is somewhat different (even from the vision during waking life).

In astral projections, however, the metaphysical realm is usually bright and colourful! And if it's dark or nighttime, the hyper-reality or crisp quality remains or a sense of surrealism is still apparent. By the way, you can also go from lucid dreams into here-now projections by visualising that a door or mirror will lead you to the physical realm, OR, by pushing the dream content away and regaining physical awareness during a very deep state of sleep paralysis. Re-enter the phase from here and there is a good chance that you will separate into the here-now.

I hope this helped!

Han another very short lucid dream again last night.  I saw a landscape and then I thought about projecting into that landscape, and before I could even complete my thought I was part of the landscape.

Didnt last very long though, it was over in 5 seconds
