location of third eye chakra???

Your third eye is located between your eyebrows. If you close your eyes and take a few deep breaths and place your attention on that area, you will begin to see or feel an oval shaped object lying on it's side.  This is your third eye and it is looking directly at you. the reason why it is turned towards you is because everything is within you.

... i must tell that since long time ago, almost every night when i am trying to sleep, i often see a purple light (or cloud ?) behind my closed eyes, after some minutes. And no it's not because external light because this also happens in a full dark room. This also happens sometimes when i meditate. It's a kind of light or cloud but it's always this color i think i never saw any other color (expect when having hypnagogic imagery). Altough i never had any kind of psychic ability (besides psychokinesis with hands, but even before trying this that thing of the purple light also happened). Can this purple light/cloud be that "oval shaped object lying on it's side" you talked ? Well, it doesn't always look oval, it constantly changes shape because it's a kind of cloud, it moves very like a after images but it's not a after image, because it only appears after some minutes even in full dark rooms, and this happens in any room i sleep but i never saw any other thing besides this purple cloud (except hypnagogic imagery) even when meditating. Strange isn't it ?

yes i have that too, while meditating (eyes closed) i begin to see all kinds of colours moving very fast around me, especially blue, green, PURPLE, red and very light-blue (skyblue)

i think its a large concentration of energy in your top 2 chakra's, if you see those colours it means your chakra's are VERY active

even when i focus hard on my hand and see a thick yellow/greenish glow around my hand, thats a aura[]

The information I have, and with my experience seeing/feeling the chakras during meditation, the third eye (Brow Center) is typically in the center of the head.  The chakras are like tornodoes though, or cones opening forward--so the "funnel" part of it extends right through the brow area, between/above the eyes.  The chakras can move though according to different people.  When you're out of your body your crown chakra can be right above the head and sometimes the various chakras aren't all aligned vertically.  As far as I can tell it's pretty individual...

hi there,i was hoping that somebody could help me clear something up if possible.

basically i've become very interested in the idea of the third eye and all things energy work related.

however one of the things that a lot of sources seem to differ on is the exact location of it,i know it lies between the eyebrows but i'm not really sure how far above the eyebrows the middle of the eye is situated.

any info will be gratefully recieved.
