How can one go about kundalini awakening and how do you know if it is awakened?

Thanks NOY, I was also wondering if those Kundalini videos on youtube were effective. I found a guided meditation one that I liked and I felt different and more aware or conscious but not to the point that most people seem to change. My only explanation is I might not have done it correctly or I already had my Kundalini awakened naturally.

why on earth would you want to awaken kundalini?

Awakening it is ok- raising it is a whole 'nother kettle of fish.  Be careful.
